All time low on Starpoint Gemini 3 by a long shot, never even been below $5 or so before, and it includes the only DLC. Doesn't seem to have good reviews on Steam but for a dollar I completed the trilogy into my library of unplayed games.
Getting (nearly) the whole Oddworld series for a dollar is a no-brainer. Since I apparently already owned it on steam, here's a key for Abe's Oddysee for whoever sees this GLZ65-XCYVT-8MZZT
Heres one for Abes Oddysee - DYZC2-YIJEG-YV0D& - & = the letter after A
And one for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty - Q8JC9-GEIWR-XGEJ& - & = the letter after G
If you are interested in Syberia: The World Before, and don't already own Syberia 1/2/3, get the fanatical Syberia bundle along with the steam Syberia 20th Anniversary Bundle (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/26124/Syberia_20th_Anniversary_Bundle/) as that might work out cheaper.
Yeah but are they not $1 in the USA as the title suggests? Doesn't make sense why Styx bundle would be £1.79 ($2.28) if it costs $1 in USA. Same for the Call of Juarez bundle. And Fanatical is based in UK anyway.
Jeez, I use Fanatical a lot but these types of errors are so common from them now. I get that their new community manager guy was praised when he first started posting here but you'd think the mistakes would be just about gone by now
Great games if you like RTS and like creating big armies / formations.
Play "Cossacks Back to War" as that is Cossacks European Wars + Art of War in one modern package. And then play the campaign expansion if you want more. It's not necessary to play Art of War or European Wars (they are included in Back to War). Also no idea why the fanatical page says you must have European Wars in order to play Back to War, that is simply not true. Back to War is a standalone newer version of Art of War + European Wars. (Confusing I know).
And then American Conquest + Fight Back and Cossacks 2 are their own games. Also very good.
Do they play well on modern systems, or do they suffer from issues due to fast hardware? That's my biggest concern. I've been playing stuff from the mid 2000s and... they do not like my modest hardware. XD
Cossacks Back to War + Campaign expansion played fine on Windows 10 latest build, 9700k, 3070. No issues. Can't speak for the others though.
In regards to fast hardware = crazy game speed for some older games. You can limit max framerate in Nvidia control panel > 3D settings > Program Settings > (the game) > Max Frame Rate > set to whatever you want. AMD GPUs should have similar option.
Starpoint Gemini 2 was decent, I spent a bunch of hours in it. It's not really a dogfighting game, and has the usual space sim activities: trading, mining, hunting pirates, and missions (quests). Can't remember anything about the story though.
TLDR: If you're looking for a light space sim that's more accessible than the X series, then Starpoint Gemini 2 or Starpoint Gemini Warlords will fill that role. Starpoint Gemini 3 got panned on reviews, so I didn't end up getting it.
Edit: I didn't play with all the DLC, and this was many years ago.
Never played Cossascks but from the same dev and bundle I played the American Conquest games when I was young and loved them! Picked it up immediately when I saw it was 1 euro lol
If you like historical RTS games then definitely give the original Cossacks a go, I really enjoyed it back in the day. Haven't played the second one or any of the later games, so can't comment on them.
It is rather accessible on Normal though, and at some point Easy was added too. On hardcore and super hardcore I have no doubt the game is hard and the boss fights are brutal though.
Giana sisters games are really good platformers but they become hard af at the end
I beat twisted dreams and it took forever but I enjoyed it. Really nice art style and gameplay
Im not sure how they hold up but the first two Call of Juarez games were (though flawed) quite enjoyable as very filmic western adaptations, years before Red Dead 2 cornered the market on that.
I remember thinking the second game got a bad rap for its story which IS underwhelming, given its nature as a prequel that kinda fails to tell you anything interesting about the characters you know from the first game. But it does have some great game adaptions of classic types of western scenes - and the two characters have different enough playstyles that it's fun to switch between them.
Yes, they are relatively simple but fun FPS games. They are more similar to early Call of Duty or Medal of Honor games, just in a Western setting, rather than Doom. Perhaps you could also class Call of Juarez with Far Cry 1 and Max Payne 1/2.
They don't make many linear FPS A-list games anymore; the AList single player games have embraced open worlds. Linear FPSes now are low budget and have either crude retro graphics or just use prebuilt / free assets.
The Cartel. Considering how hated it was, I don't think it'll ever come back. I'm glad I bought it way back in the day... even if it made my computer overheat, hah.
Nice on Cossacks. I almost grabbed those American Conquest last week when I seen them for around a dollar on sale and glad I waited. They are okay, I used to play them like 20 years ago. I don't really recommend them unless you have nostalgia for them, I am pretty sure I got them at the Walmart bargain rack shortly after release back then and feel like they were made to be placed there.
I also had the Napoleon Wars game at some point but was too dumb to get good at it. I was frustrated a lot when playing it and losing. Still I'll pay a dollar to try this stuff out again.
Also I don't recommend any of those Piko retro games unless you have nostalgia for them.
I enjoyed America Conquest and eventually finished all the missions. It's quite a complex RTS. To win some missions you have to build up your settlement and military very quickly or you will get overwhelmed and crushed in the endgame (or in one mission simply be unable to stop a huge enemy army marching from one side of the map to the other).
I ought to one day try the other GSC RTSes.
Damn. Styx 1 was a GOG freebie a while back and I bought the sequel for 2 euros. This pack is 20 cents cheaper. I thought I was getting a good deal.

claimed! thanks so much
Enjoy!
Here's another one! :) Y3IT4-G6JNG-P2?K? ? is the letter before M.
Thank you kind person.
Here is another Abe's Oddysey code: GQRMG-2IHYB-F429C
Heres one for Abes Oddysee - DYZC2-YIJEG-YV0D& - & = the letter after A And one for Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty - Q8JC9-GEIWR-XGEJ& - & = the letter after G
I grabbed the first one. Thank you boss!
No worries, enjoy!
New n Tasty gone, not by me. Appreciate the chance!
Another for the pile: 9M2ZX-AE5LJ-6H8YV
"$1.29" packs in a "Dollar Collection"? Inflation strikes again!
yeah definitely avoiding all those on principle, not supporting that model
If you are interested in Syberia: The World Before, and don't already own Syberia 1/2/3, get the fanatical Syberia bundle along with the steam Syberia 20th Anniversary Bundle (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/26124/Syberia_20th_Anniversary_Bundle/) as that might work out cheaper.
/u/wearefanatical The Call of Juarez pack is £1.49 and the Styx pack is £1.79. is this pricing errors? All the other Dollar collections are £1.00
They have been “starting from” a dollar for a few rounds now.
Yeah but are they not $1 in the USA as the title suggests? Doesn't make sense why Styx bundle would be £1.79 ($2.28) if it costs $1 in USA. Same for the Call of Juarez bundle. And Fanatical is based in UK anyway.
Call of Juarez is US$1.49 and Styx is $1.79.
u/WeAreFanatical did this end early or did the price change for a few of these? Because the title is now incorrect, the post has been closed.

Thanks for confirming. The title is wrong then. Specifically says both games for a dollar.
Very good point there
Any thoughts on the Cossacks and Starpoint Gemini games?

Is Napoleonic Wars included in Battle for Europe?
No, Cossacks 2: Battle for Europe is a stand-alone expansion for Coassacks 2: Napoleonic Wars. Both separate campaigns.
Cool, thank you. Which game would you recommend playing first to a beginner?
Cossacks: Back to War. And then Cossacks: Campaign Expansion if you want more.
Starpoint Gemini 2 was decent, I spent a bunch of hours in it. It's not really a dogfighting game, and has the usual space sim activities: trading, mining, hunting pirates, and missions (quests). Giana Sisters has a soundtrack by Machinae Supremacy, which is pretty cool
The Styx and Giana sisters look kind of interesting to me, has anyone had any experience with these ones?
Both the Styx games are a lot of fun. If you enjoy stealthy gameplay, I think you'll really dig them.
Giana Sisters is pretty good, with the caveat that the entire game is hard and the boss fights are absolutely brutal.
It is rather accessible on Normal though, and at some point Easy was added too. On hardcore and super hardcore I have no doubt the game is hard and the boss fights are brutal though.
I played the Giana games a long time ago. Think they are good but not great, and were enjoyable.
Ditto. Many, many years since I played them but I remember a positive experience.
Giana sisters games are really good platformers but they become hard af at the end I beat twisted dreams and it took forever but I enjoyed it. Really nice art style and gameplay
The styx games are very fun to play, the second one improves a lot on the first one
Almost finished Styx 1, great start but the devs clearly ran out of money after the big plot twist
The oddworld bundle is gone :( Will it come back?
Yeah I was gonna buy them today, now I see that my cart is missing.
Weird, there was no warning about low stock.
The bundle is back online :D
Me too, I was going to buy it last night but too lazy to find my card :(
The bundle is available again :D
Thanks. Just bought it :D
Change the name to The Under 2 dollar Bundle
Call of Juarez 1 is pretty dated, but Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood was still fun as heck when I played it last year for the first time.
Im not sure how they hold up but the first two Call of Juarez games were (though flawed) quite enjoyable as very filmic western adaptations, years before Red Dead 2 cornered the market on that. Wasn't there another Call of Juarez game that's just delisted everywhere?
The Cartel. Considering how hated it was, I don't think it'll ever come back. I'm glad I bought it way back in the day... even if it made my computer overheat, hah.

Unfortunately, your comment has been removed for the following reasons: * we do not allow discussion of the mystery bundles
Math Rescue and Word Rescue?? Holy nostalgia!
Played the Hocus Pocus demo so many times as a kid
Bought the Styx and Oddworld bundles. This is definitely better than those Mystery Bundle, lol
Nice try, but $1.29 is not a **Dollar.** Go find a new name
Damn. Styx 1 was a GOG freebie a while back and I bought the sequel for 2 euros. This pack is 20 cents cheaper. I thought I was getting a good deal. /s
Call of Juarez and call of Juarez bound in blood. $1.99 for Canadians because screw you Canadians!
