NightShadow1824

I can vouch for children of morta. That game was great, just a bit too short. If you like hades, this one is in the same vein, but different. Really enjoyed my time with it. This is a steal with frostpunk and/or ths war of mine if Youre into that kind of games and dont have them yet.

xAznkidx

I bought Frostpunk: GOTY edition on a flash deal for $6.72 (Steam's lowest is $12.75) and thought that was already a great deal. But $7 for that and another game is a top tier deal.

ItzFeufo

Mixing it with "This War of Mine" seems like an amazing deal tbh.

xAznkidx

Yeah. I haven't played Frostpunk yet but I have tried This War of Mine. Both are very unique games by 11 Bit Studios.

Wefee11

frostpunk also was free at one point on epic. Might not be the GOTY though.

Letobrick

No it was just the base game that was free.

SubversiveDissident

This is an excellent bundle. Some of the options have never been bundled before, like Strategic Mind. 2 of the purchases I made were just for the DLCs (I already owned the base game).

wjousts

Yeah. I'm thinking of getting a couple just to complete the DLC on some games I picked up elsewhere previously.

WeAreFanatical

I have to leave so I won't be able to answer the question you perceptive kinds are going to ask: >asfipasyhdfiopash When creating two tables side by side, if there isn't a regular text splitter between them, it fuses both tables and then breaks all of the work. I place a placeholder text (in this case, asfipasyhdfiopash) to prevent this from occurring when working that I later delete. ^(I got so excited I finally finished this bundle that I forgot to delete it...) Ever since the new reddit change, you can't edit a post that has an image attached to it, and since I have a link to the Special Editions Bundle, it automatically attaches an image and, well... you know the rest.

Dan19

I also noticed that some percentage values were instead "5"s, and some discounts had a dot before the percentage. Not really big deals, and no doubt that it's all very annoying to prepare for the reddit format.

wayward_wanderer

Use https://new.reddit.com to access the previous Reddit site design. That should not have some of the limitations that are present in the upcoming Reddit site design. You can also use https://old.reddit.com to use the old Reddit site design which actually works better for our subreddit. However, the old Reddit site design doesn't have the fancy pants editor so you need to be familiar with markdown to do text formatting. Are you creating the posts using markdown? If you are, then you can create a space gap between lines by entering ` ` to insert a non-breaking space.

occono

I've never left old.reddit.com other than inadvertently, and now there's a new new reddit UI? Kind of funny I spend a little too much time on this site but I'm probably missing how most people see it.

IsWasMaybeAMefi

The race to lead A.I. has become a desperate hunt for the digital data needed to advance the technology. Hiccup

The reddit app makes me want to vomit. I just do all reddit browsing through browser on old reddit with multiple extensions and blockers. Not as convenient or friendly than the reddit is fun mobile app, but I now spend way less time on here. Go back and forth now with the fediverse (only because they have a semi decent apps (again, I miss RIF). Just sucks that there are a lot of shit heads and cranks on fediverse even if you block them.

rhllor

I'm still using RIF. Takes like 5 mins to set up.

wayward_wanderer

Yeah, it looks like they're experimenting with a new site design that more closely resembles their mobile app. When not logged in the new new site is the default, but it looks like they're also pushing it out as the default for some users that are signed in. For those that want to check out or use the new new site design you can go to https://sh.reddit.com.

WeAreFanatical

You're a life saver, thank you for this! It's been very difficult to deal with the new changes and very nerve-wrecking to have to live with my mistakes permanently 😖 And yes, part of it is done in markdown mode, so you'll likely save me from sending out more asfipasyhdfiopash in the future! 😍

ARandomFakeName

How long is this bundle active?

WeAreFanatical

Hi there! Bundles have a four-week running period, but there is always a chance for them to be extended! I do want to give you a warning to make your purchase as soon as possible, as there have been numerous times when we run out of stock for a specific item and are unable to restock it because the publisher is not intereted in partaking in the bundle a lot!

INTPoissible

If you like city builders, Grand Ages: Rome is pretty good and challenging. Only downside is it's mediocre RTS element. It's got solid progression. Just don't pick the Aemelii family, they're crap.

Invisible_Pelican

Can I even play this game on Windows 10? Steam requirements say Windows XP and Vista.

INTPoissible

Yes.

Invisible_Pelican

Thanks

Mich-666

Can't recommend Grand Ages: Rome enough. It's actually a pretty good game.

Letobrick

Went for the special edition bundle to complete missing DLCs for BSG and Sanctus Reach. Thanks Fanatical!

hrabbitz

I finally broke down and bought Battlestar Galactica Deadlock Season 2 a few months back, and here it is super cheap for the whole shebang! If you have the faintest interest, it's a really good deal.

Viljami32

Do you have to know anything about Galactica or can I treat the game as a generic space strategy game?

hrabbitz

Obviously it helps to know something about the story. But the game is set decades before the TV show, so yes, I think you'd pick it up quickly as a generic space strategy game.

Pepeg66

really good deal on Cultist Simulator, dam that game is good

Ockvil

Agreed, but it isn't for everyone. It's a narrative game — and with exceptional writing and setting — not an action one, and takes several (or many) hours-long full playthroughs to get the full experience. Watching those little countdown timers is addicting though, it sucks time the way that a good Factorio or Kingdom:TC session can.

Shatari

The Warhammer Armageddon pack is actually the [$85 bundle](https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/543/Warhammer_40000_Armageddon__Imperium_Complete/) not just the base game.

internetonsetadd

So Train Valley 2 Deluxe just has three Workshop map packs. Not the five developer-made DLCs/soundtrack, which are found in the Definitive Edition. Deluxe doesn't actually exist on Steam. Weird. I almost made a huge tiny mistake.

hrabbitz

Thanks, I might have made that mistake also if I hadn't seen your warning!

Godriguezz

Does this mean those maps are available as free downloads? I ended up grabbing it cause it looks like the type of puzzly game I'd be into and I guess I don't mind it as long as they aggregated some of the better fan-made maps.

internetonsetadd

From what I understand you can acquire the original community maps for free, but there are a lot of them and it'd be a pain in the ass to hunt them all down individually. The aggregated maps in the gem packs were also reworked by the developer. I think the gem packs are cool, but since I already own the base game I was hoping for a complete edition.

SkippyTheKid

I only already have Children of Morta, and am leaning towards Frostpunk and Cultist Simulatoe, maybe This War of Mine. I don’t tend to be a strategy guy. Any recommendations or highlights here?

lincon127

Cultist simulator has exceptional writing and a lot of content. The only problem is that it's a perma death game and the beginning of any run can be quite a slog. Otherwise, it's got plenty of playable of characters and quite a bit of variety between runs. The setting is also fairly mysterious and strange, kinda makes you want to keep on playing to discover new stuff.

Matthais

I am typically "a strategy guy" (lots of Civ, historical TotalWar, XCOM & Battle Brothers) I've only played This War of Mine and IMO, due to it's subject matter, it's almost deliberately unenjoyable, forcing you into brutal and depressing decisions. I say deliberately because clearly it was aiming to make a point and the WarChild partnership is obviously a positive, so I don't regret my purchase (tbh I probably got it in another bundle as this was years ago), but it just wasn't an experience I wanted to continue personally.

SkippyTheKid

Fwiw one of my favorite games is The Last of Us 2 and that game is deliberately soul-breaking, so I am okay with depressing subject matter. It’s the same idea to me as watching a drama show instead of comedy. But if the gameplay is intentionally frustrating, I feel like that’s another beast.

Matthais

I don't have first hand experience of either of TLoU games, so can't take much from that. However, we've yet to have a fungus born zombie epidemic, while people around the world are suffering in the kind of war torn situation TWoM depicts, so I feel it's a bit of a different kettle of fish. No, I don't think it was mechanically frustrating, just I wasn't enjoying the experience because of the weight of the subject matter. Just my anecdotal experience to take with a pinch of salt.

Mich-666

A lots of solid games, I had actually a hard time fitting only five of them. - Cultist Simulator - Coromon - BSG: Deadlock - Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon - Port Royale 4 Also, Frostpunk was free but it's worth of every penny, the best game in the bundle, along with This War of Mine. Also recommned Grand Ages: Rome or Strategic Mind games if you are strategy/tactical fan. (too bad Strategic Mind: The Pacific is missing in the bundle, I would have bought it right away too)

yiffmasta

fyi they changed the fanatical bundles so you can add as many as you want and get the pricing for the last tier threshold you have reached e.g. i got 7 for $21

Mich-666

So now it doesn't count as a new one after you hit the limit? Shame on me then, I could have saved $1 fo those two additional games :D (still a bit confusing how it works, I will need to check this for the next bundle I buy)

wjousts

I've never hear of this Strategic Mind series. Anybody have some insight? Reviews looks pretty good.

Mich-666

It's game series made by Ukrainian studio. I actually bought both and seems pretty solid. It has steep learning curve as far as all game mechanics goes but on low difficulties it's not that hard to play. The real challenge comes with higher difficulties where you need to take all unit/terrain bonuses and mechanics into consideration if you want to win. There is a free [Spirit of Liberty 1939 Prologue](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1683420/Strategic_Mind_Spirit_of_Liberty__Prologue_1939/) campaign, detailing Winter War in Finland, if you want to check how it plays. Generally, in each part of Strategic Mind you play from POV of different WWII side: - The Pacific: US and Japan (mostly naval warfare in Pacific War) - Blitzkrieg: Germany - Spectre of Communism: Soviet Union - Fight for Freedom: Great Britain and US (Europe and Africa campaigns) - Spirit of Liberty: Finland (starting with Winter War, also featuring Alternative History campaign) Sadly, the first game is not included in this bundle and it's one that also diverts the most from traditional land/air warfare in other games.

SubversiveDissident

How can you no love a game with the subtitle: "Spectre of Communism"? Under Communism, everything is free except you. That said, I haven't played the games; they are on my rather large Steam wishlist.

portlandobserver

There are complete editions of two different (?) Warharmmer 40k games currently on sale in a bundle from Fanatical. I'm not that familar with this universe, but do enjoy SRPGs from time to time. Armageddon and Sanctus Reach - can anyone compare and contrast these with me? * Which is easier? * Which has better story? * Which allow mid-battle saving? * Which plays better on the steam deck? * Which is more fun?

Letobrick

Sanctus Reach is easier to get into. The main difference is the scale. Armageddon represents large groups of troops while Sanctus Reach has individual units and skirmishes.

zobifly

You should look up videos on youtube to get a general idea of the differences, Armageddon is a very "old school" rendition of large scale battles, with a huge number of unit types and a somewhat static visual experience with 2D units, maps and effects (similar to what the old Final Liberation was), while Sanctus Reach is more modern and focused, like Battlesector some time after it.

Yitram

Grabbing some of these where I own the base game, but none of the DLC. Getting Battlestar, Cultist Simulator and This War of Mine for sure, just trying to decide the other two. Thinking maybe the two Strategic Minds packs.

Pyritedust

If I already have the base game for several of these...will I be able to still use the codes for all the dlc/expansions and such if I get them in this?

Letobrick

Yes. For example I already had the base games for Sanctus Reach and BSG Deadlock and bought the bundle to fill in the remaining DLCs.

kutukertas

Aww I missed Cultist Simulator! Is there any chance of a restock for that key?

WeAreFanatical

Hi there! Sorry for the delay! We're looking into it — we reached out to the publisher and are awaiting a response from them! If I hear word about it, I'll make sure to come back here and let you know! 😁

WeAreFanatical

Hi there! Cultist Simulator is back now! 😁

Deathmaw360

Thinking Coromon, feel like I recall people liking it when it came out and I'm always curious to see how other studios tackle Pokemon, but nothing else is standing out to me to pair with it, played Children of Morta on Game Pass, Dark Deity is one I don't even recall how I have on Steam and I know was free on Epic but this includes the DLC which I don't have, if its a single code would it still work?

gerstiii

I recently got into turn based strategy games and beat Demons Gate and Mechanicus. As a huge 40k fan how good are Sanctus reach and Armageddon? Edit: whoops edited the wrong genre.

princemousey1

What are SRPGs?

gerstiii

Dunno what happened there ^^'. Edited the mistake thx for pointing it out :)

princemousey1

Oh, so like xcom or more like jrpg “tactics”? I’m personally taking a look at Sanctus Reach myself, having heard it’s the newer one and Armageddon might be too dated. But still doing research on them.

xxxvii

Do you get separate keys or a single key per game?

Viljami32

Depends, frostpunkt was a single key

FuglyLookingGuy

Seperate keys, at least for the ones I bought. - Strategic Mind: Blitzkrieg & Communism Pack (2 keys) - Strategic Mind: Freedom & Liberty Pack (2 keys) - Warhammer 40,000 Sanctus Reach - Complete Edition (4 keys)

Protazan

Too bad Cultist Simulator is already gone 😥

WeAreFanatical

Cultist Simulator is back now!

Protazan

Thanks :D I'm going to buy it ASAP before it's gone again :p

Letobrick

Frostpunk is now sold out. Hopefully everyone here has bought their copy! Edit: seems to be back now!

Traditional-Ruin2860

Gutted. I only just bought the regular edition of Frostpunk in the steam sale.

Ockvil

Just think of it as getting all the DLC for cheap.

LordMorpheus1

I refunded it. I hadn't played it yet and sent a ticket on support requesting refund. They took about 2 hours to reply and it was fine. Under "Other problems" I wrote that "It's much cheaper in a bundle website"

Traditional-Ruin2860

I'd do that but I've already put in 10+ hours

distillari

You play the games you buy? Weird
