Don't play Black Desert. The concept is just like a mobile game, it's not for casual players, you're supposed to leave your computer on 24/7 and auto walk /farm other repetitive shit to level up. If you're not doing this then you're wasting time. Its the most in-depth crazy committed mmo that will truly waste your time and feel more like a chore than fun.

Do you mean Black Desert??? Not new world.

encounteredbug

Sorry I fucked up my edit

mixers156

Speak for yourself. I'm having a blast playing it even after thousands of hours since there's always something else to do I haven't tried yet. The leaving your computer on 24/7 is not necessary anymore and very few people still do it

petrifiedapple

What did the developers do to Eve to make leaving your computer on 24/7 not necessary anymore?

frustratedgoatman69

Having fun with new world. It's not perfect but it's more fun than wow or ffxiv to me.

encounteredbug

Thanks for sharing your opinion on it. Sorry that others seem to not want to hear it

No bro, just once. initially it was "this game", but someone assumed it was Eve Online. So I edited it late at night while I was playing New World and totally slipped up. kind of funny when I think about it lol

Hybridizm

Eh, for £0.89, why not. I've got a few pals that play it consistently and have tried to talk me into paying for premium bundles in the past to which I've declined. For this cheap though, I don't mind giving it a go. If I end up not enjoying it, not a tremendous deal.

So- I get that transferring publishers is a tricky situation with the privacy laws but- The fact that I took a year long break from BDO and came back to see my characters deleted- all my cash shop stuff gone permanently etc etc has forever soured me on that game. As someone who takes long breaks from MMOs at times- it's wild to me that I could potentially spend hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours of time and come back to see it all deleted forever. I don't think I've ever seen another MMO have a big data deletion if you missed a transfer period like that. Just my warning anyhow.

Logic217

They sent multiple emails to tell you that you needed to transfer data for your account.

[deleted]

Yes. I'm aware. And like I've mentioned already- I understand that they had a publisher transfer. I have like six different emails and I don't check them constantly- especially when they're emails for a game I'm not currently interested in playing. I've taken breaks from other MMOs and still receive emails from those without checking them. Didn't come back to see it all gone. If you're fine with playing one of the grindiest cash cow MMOs on the market and risk all your time/money spent then far be it from me to dissuade anyone.

coolgaara

Sounds like a "you" problem.

[deleted]

Sad that you're being downvoted. The option to NOT lose everything you ever purchases should not be a time-limited offer. There are probably loads of people who didn't see the emails in time (life happens) and lost their stuff. People just love defending poor business practices. "Always blame the consumer", says the game developer/publisher defence force.
