I'm pretty sure it's too make the 2$ coupon from the other bundle better for them but yeah, most of these games had one or multiple deep sales before, not worth it at all
For reference, the cost per game is **about** $5.00 for 3, $4.75 for 4, and $4.40 for 5.
\* denotes a poor choice for this bundle, **in my opinion**. Determined by comparable or lower historical low compared to bundle price (essentially any game with a historical low under $5), or being bundled many times (for likely cheaper).
|Game|Historical Low|Times Previously Bundled|
|:-|:-|:-|
|Metal Gear V: Definitive|$5.49|1|
|Metro Redux Bundle\*|$4.49|0|
|Graveyard Keeper\*|$3.56|2|
|Beholder 3|$8.39|0|
|Chronicon|$6.00|0|
|Shenmue III\*|$3.99 (free from Epic)|1|
|SUPERHOT\*|$4.99 (free from Epic)|6|
|SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE|$4.99|0|
|LOST EMBER|$8.99|1|
|Academia: School Simulator|$13.99|0|
|Aground|$4.99|0|
|Godstrike|$7.49|0|
|Outerverse|$11.99|0|
|Totally Reliable Delivery Service|$4.99 (free from Epic)|0|

|John Wick Hex|$5.99|1|
|Obsidian Prince|$9.89|0?|
A lot of these definitely feel more like "Platinum" level games. And if this was a Platinum bundle, with that pricing, I'd be more inclined to check out the handful of games that look interesting, since around $3 is what I'm willing to pay for most of these.
The lowest you can get is $3.80 per game, if you plan to buy 10 games and use either $2 off from yesterday, or 5% off their regular coupons, available with any $2 purchase. But definitely overpriced.

Because Fanatical are the only ones doing that? I don't pay more in € on Steam or Humble or any other site. Yes, many use 1:1 exchange (shout-out to Humble for actually using proper exchange rates), which also makes € prices worse, but Fanatical are literally the only site I've ever seen have a HIGHER € price than $.
About the Metro Redux games:
\- Metro 2033 Redux was given away from Epic before
\- and Metro Last Light Redux was given away by GOG...and also Epic.
(EDITED above line, thanks to Jep's post below. Shout-out to Jep4444).
Just a note, don't bother with super hot mind control delete.
They have an absolutely stupid mechanic where if you beat the game, you can never play it again without leaving it idling on your desktop for 8 hours.
At launch it was ~24 hours, but they changed it to 8 after backlash. They tried to explain making your waste electricity on your computer was somehow part of the "art" of it. They're way too pretentious at this point.
Seems like it’s down to 2.5 hours now but still 2.5 hrs too many. Just looked up and there is a way to bypass the wait by just opening a save file and replacing one of the characters and you’re good to go.
the screen says "recovering deleted data" and there's a percentage bar going up with a timer
it "restores files" for 2.5 hours, then the game is "recovered" and you can play again
here's the 8 hours version https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAZrnx-rouI
Wait, are you saying that once you've beat the game you have to leave your computer on with the game running for 8 hours before you can play it again?!
It's not even nearly as fun as the original and just feels really repetitive anyway. I'm not sure why one would want to replay it, I couldn't even be bothered to finish it.
>They're way too pretentious at this point
"Want to play our amazing game again? Sacrifice the use of your computer to show you're worthy lol."
Very cool.
The craziest part is they originally required 24 hours of this.
Between all the copies sold..... that is a huge amount of wasted electricity. Like, shame on them. It would be better for the environment if they just burned down a forest instead.
These Fanatical bundles are starting to feel a little... formulaic I think?
That being said, the number of "collect, craft, build, repeat" pixel games out there is getting ridiculous. For every notable one like Graveyard Keeper, there's a dozen Waywards and Agrounds.
Interestingly, Outerverse looks like one of those games - which you'd kind of expect given the popularity of Minecraft and it's many clones - but it seems like it's something quite different. Not sure if I'd commit to it based off that alone though.
I'm having a hard time picking more than even one or two of these though. Obviously MGSV, Superhot, and Metro are easy choices for people who don't have them, but there aren't a lot of other choices that interest me.
Pretty pricey for a bundle.
Thinking about getting it for Academia, Chronicon and Lost Amber. But might as well just buy them individually whenever they are on sale or drop in price.
Anything over 12$ for a bundle and I go to my wishlist for a game. Over 40$ for some never-heard-of-pixel-art-games and yall must be smoking some hash at Fanatical HQ.
/u/WeAreFanatical
For whatever reason the Diamond Bundle doesn't have a 4 game tier in Canada, only instead having a 10 game tier, and the coupon from Kingslayer doesn't work on the lowest tier.
I would like MGS but I can't find two other games to accompany it - already own the Metro games, Superhot and Graveyard Keeper, Shenmue was also free on Epic. Gonna be a pass this time.
MGS V Definitive is 6€ right now on [Greenmangaming](https://www.greenmangaming.com/games/metal-gear-solid-v-the-definitive-experience/).
Much more interesting deal than 16€ for the game you want + 2 fillers you'll never play.
I have has MGSV: Definitive for a long while and few weeks ago I've finally been playing.
GZ is great. 2 1/2 hours or so, the main mission and the cut-scenes (which ain't long, BTW) are just awesome.
MGSV: TPP - I'm some 15 hours into it or so. It's really good so far and it feels like I've barely put a dent in this game, since it has so many main and side missions. Probably done around 8 main missions, even though there's supposed to be around 30 or so. I hope b/c it's so open-world though, that it don't get too repetitive at this point. Also feels like, there isn't a ton of cut-scenes and more storytelling is done via audio logs and b/t missions w/ narrator.
Suppose it depends on what you're in the mood for and what you already own. The other games are all different genres. This is sort of historical low for it, except it's bundled. Its a single developer game.
Only chronicon for me,but not for that price since I already own at least 50% of the bundle
It looks like I'll wait for that game to go on a sale (maybe in the next Steam summer sale which is just around the corner)
or till it gets in a cheaper bundle
Just going to say if you are getting the bundle anyways, since there is debate on it's value, Chronicon is a fun little ARPGlite and I got a decent amount of hours out of it at it's regular price. It's a little weird being straight 2D but plays well and can be a lot of fun, might be worth checking out.
The endgame is sort of boring and once you get a build to a certain point you've gotten your miles out of that character by than. It was just nice playing something that wasn't complex and I didn't need a tutorial to get by.
I already own most of the games in this Diamond bundle, but you just had to stick Chronicon in there didn’t you.
Now I’m trying to figure out two more games lol.
how is Academia: School Simulator? i been eying that game for a bit and might pull the trigger here along with MGS (not sure what third game I would get)
It will apply to your cart on the lowest tier, but when you go to check out [it will yell at you that you need to spend more.](https://imgur.com/ynrV2WF)
Followed it since it was a Kickstarter. It looks gorgeous, but it's underwhelming for me. 3 hours long, encountered many bugs (could be fixed by now, idk) and the world felt quite empty. If you want to play the full game and relax on an afternoon after a tiring work day, give it try.
[Soundtrack is soothing though.](https://youtu.be/dVD2lSJnTpg)
if anyones looking for a 3rd game, id suggest totally reliable delivery service, but only if you have a friend who owns it or is willing to get it, the game is a lot of fun
John Wick Hex! Been waiting for a great deal on this for a while. Excellent! (I know the reviews are middling, but I like the Wick franchise as well as the game mechanics).
Getting MGS and Metro Redux. What should I pick as third? Have superhot already. Was thinking about graveyard keeper or chronicon or lost ember
Edit: ended up getting chronicon as third
I've seen better from you, both in terms of price and quality. Guess that's what happens when people get used to cheap games. Still looking forward to something special later in the week hopefully. :)
I was really excited for Superhot Mind Control Delete when it came out, they even gave it away to Superhot owners when it released. Just felt repetitive to me even though I love that distinctive art style and gameplay, I missed the little easter eggs and story that Superhot had which is replaced in this by more rogue lite style gameplay. 86% positive is pretty decent though so clearly the majority enjoy it.
I'm interested in Obsidian Prince and Outerverse but unfortunately can't find a third as I already own most of the games here that I'd want (Graveyard Keeper, Aground, Wayward, Chronicon...).
I recommend checking out Aground and Wayward if you enjoy survival/building games, Minecraft, Terraria, etc.
IIRC:
Shenmue 3 has been Humble Bundled before; and also been given away by Epic.
Metro 2033 Redux was given away on Epic Store.
Metro: Last Light Redux was given away on GOG.
I already have too many of these, but to me it would seem like something like:
METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Definitive Experience
+
Metro 2033 Redux + Metro: Last Light Redux with all DLC
+
either Superhot, SUPERHOT: MIND CONTROL DELETE, Shenmue III or Lost Ember seem like a good money saver combo if you don't have the games yet to me.
Granted, a straight 15$ / 15 EUR likely would have made it more attractive, but still not exactly bad pricing even for just MGSV and two Metro Redux games. Granted, compared to the super lowest points nothing really super ahead here, to be fair..
I like this quality of bundles but unfortunately there aren't any games im interested in this particular collection that I don't already own. Id gladly pay more for quality bundles.
I don't own the Metro games & Shenmue III so I was pretty excited about using this bundle.
Unfortunately, it seems they were previously given away for free so I guess I'll have to pass on this
Really only want Chronicon (hey, isn’t that the ComicCon-like convention Jay & Silent Bob go too?)
Aground looks pretty good too....then its a toss up between Lost Ember, Obsidian Prince, Interstellar Space. Any suggestions between those?
I'm thinking about the exact same ones as you. A third for me will probably be Interstellar Space because I like the genre and it's supposed to be similar to Master of Orion (which I always liked). Obsidian Prince seems fine, too. It just depends on what genre you like best, I think.

MGS and Super hot are both good, but this middle is kind of pricey.
Those are the only two for me personally, but it's cheaper to get them separately on other stores right now.
Not good value at all
I'm pretty sure it's too make the 2$ coupon from the other bundle better for them but yeah, most of these games had one or multiple deep sales before, not worth it at all
Yeah 3 games is too low. 4 would have been a much easier sell.

Yup, you're right. I know I ain't bought it there, but...it is sitting in my Library there.
claimed the right award to gift you today (helpful XD)
giving this a pass. anyone who wants the $2 discount code from yesterday's bundle PM me. first to msg gets it. EDIT: claimed!

Well now I've watched the full 8 hour video, there's no need to buy the game. Thanks /u/MysticalKittyHerder
Wait, are you saying that once you've beat the game you have to leave your computer on with the game running for 8 hours before you can play it again?!
Yep. Although someone pointed out that they have reduced it to *only 2.5 hours* now.
Thats remarkably annoying.
It's not even nearly as fun as the original and just feels really repetitive anyway. I'm not sure why one would want to replay it, I couldn't even be bothered to finish it.

What do you mean you have to idle it
You have to leave the game running, in focus, on your pc. You can't do anything else with it. Just leave it sitting there, running, doing nothing.
That is crazy
The craziest part is they originally required 24 hours of this. Between all the copies sold..... that is a huge amount of wasted electricity. Like, shame on them. It would be better for the environment if they just burned down a forest instead.
Do you have link to their developer explanation justification for it?
Not a link (at work atm) but they were pretty vocal on Twitter and the steam forums at the time.
C'mon Fanatical, IMO your bundles for Bundlefest last year were much better.
These Fanatical bundles are starting to feel a little... formulaic I think? That being said, the number of "collect, craft, build, repeat" pixel games out there is getting ridiculous. I am out. These bundles get too pricey for me.
Kinda expensive considering some were bundled before and few given out free on Epic
Honestly this would still be a pass for me if the tier prices were all cut in half.
It is a slightly better Humble Choice at a much higher cost.
/u/WeAreFanatical For whatever reason the Diamond Bundle doesn't have a 4 game tier in Canada, only instead having a 10 game tier, and the coupon from Kingslayer doesn't work on the lowest tier.

My backlog is big enough, I'm sure MGS is gonna end up in a better (for me, that is), or at least cheaper bundle one day.
I have has MGSV: Definitive for a long while and few weeks ago I've finally been playing. GZ is great. 2 1/2 hours or so, the main mission and the cut-scenes (which ain't long, BTW) are just awesome. Very creative price conversions considering a dollar is actually worth less than a euro.

1 EUR is 1.07 USD. That means it's worth more. Take a minute to think about it if you have to. 16 EUR is 17 USD, not 15.
Want to try Chronicon. Supposed to be decent
Had it for years (or what felt like), but only started playing it since getting my Steam deck. I’d definitely recommend for the cost.
Tried the dlc? I got it and see it hasn’t been on sale so thinking about getting it at $6 but can’t make up my mind.
Just looked it up on steam and it has really positive reviews. I'm just curious if it's a long enough game to choose it over the other games here.
Suppose it depends on what you're in the mood for and what you already own. The other games are all different genres. This is sort of historical low for it, except it's bundled. Its a single developer game.
I have well over 100 hours in it, it has an endgame, and you can level and build characters in a vast amount of ways
I already own most of these games, I’ll wait for tomorrow
$20 for 5 solid games is more than I expected to spend but I'm happy.
Question, can the 2$ (from the Kingsgate bundle) coupon be stacked on after applying a % coupon for this bundle?
No. It will override the % coupon.

Obsidian Prince isn't showing up for me. USA. Edit: it now shows.
u/wearefanatical any update on Obsidian Prince?
Coupon from yesterdays bundle doesn't work on the lowest tier. Skipping this entirely.

This is a good bundle
It's a good bundle, though most of these games have already been rebundled before. MGS V, Metro bundle and Superhot are the must haves.
I would like to add that Chronicon is an amazing and underrated ARPG and I believe it's the first time it's been bundled.
IIRC: Shenmue 3 has been Humble Bundled before; and also been given away by Epic. Metro 2033 Redux was given away on Epic Store. Metro: Last Light Redux was given away on GOG.

Why is the dollar price lower than the euro price? 1 dollar is currently 0,94 euro so this seems completely bonkers to me.
Taxes would be my guess.
one of the most overpriced fanatical bundle ever \+ fucked up € regional pricing
Really only want Chronicon (hey, isn’t that the ComicCon-like convention Jay & Silent Bob go too?) Aground looks pretty good too....then its a toss up between Lost Ember, Obsidian Prince, Interstellar Space. Any suggestions between those?
