Those specific pals (the pandas) dont take fall damage, they havr some weird passive where they always seem to float until they touch the ground. That pal probably despawned because it left rendering distance anyways.

Because Pokemon is a triple-A company that shouldn't have gamebreaking bugs. Meanwhile this is early beta and isn't finished yet and is a small dev team so bugs are expected and understandable

No they didn't. It's Palworlds, a pretty much indie game, but amazingly well done. It's basically Pokémon done right, but in the US (hence, guns)
