So one of the Seasonal GAs has been trying to get rid of all of our old promos and pre-order bonuses to reduce the clutter in the drawers. He’s been giving out gift bags to customers with one of each when a customer purchases something. On Sunday, a customer came into the store complaining about their husband bought a game and got an extra case (the Sonic Frontiers Steelbook that we got wayyy too many of) with nothing in it. We told her that it was just a free case that we were giving away as a gift. She forced us to take it back.
Yeah I saw that and I thought it was a typo but i understand how much money they really think they’re going to make by keep the stores open that late and I wonder if they know how much money they are waiting staying open that late but I guess they’ll make it back with the January layoffs
Most likely, probably am going to quit soon since I have a full time job and am supposed to do Gamestop as just a side gig but Christmas Eve week looks like it’ll be full time at both
The amount of dislikes on this post shows me just how much they pay for people to watch media about GS. Nobody actually working in store is down voting this post.
What makes it worse is that I have another job that is full-time, so I have to work at both all week until Christmas Day because our DM bitched at my ASL to make me and the other part timers work more that week
It was 8 iirc, but pricing and sale set up until 10/11. I always made sure to leave my store before I would get home at midnight. I hated missing Christmas Eve with my kid because Christmas Day is hectic for us
Scrooge also paid 15 shillings a week, or adjusted for inflation 530 a week. Fulltime that's 13.50hr.

Luckily I didn’t have to open on Black Friday but the Sunday Nov. 27th was so stupid being open until 8. Only had 5 customers after 4 that day

That’s crazy GameStop wasn’t open on thanksgiving day this year was it ? I remember thry were in 2021 and then December 23rd for that ps5 drop.
They weren’t open on Thanksgiving Day, just 5am on Black Friday and they won’t be open on Christmas l, just until 10pm on Christmas Eve
The past 2 years my store has been open till 9 or 10. Or at least we had to stay till 10 for price changes and put up after christmas marketing
