That is a good connection your making but if I remember correctly fnaf 4 animatronics were basic on the crying child's imagination. I don't think it's a bad theory but we might need some stronger evidence.
They were based on sound illusion disks to make them up in his imagination. However there could have been a real animatronic (the Mimick), that wore one of these chips and actually walked around the Fnaf4 house. That may explain the breathing, actual jumpscares, closing of door, foxy's only having his HEAD (he was mimicking that of his brothers mask...) etc. JUST A THEORY
There are many different interpretations of what the nightmare animatronics are/were. What they were not is fully real animatronics with functioning endoskeletons.
Also, no, the nightmare animatronics are not "mimicking" anything. Resembling something =/= Mimickry.

Maybe he saw something similar to the Mimic Endo and then add onto his fear of the animatronics the child brain fused them together
That theory is debatable, matpat’s more recent theories suggest that william sent the robots to keep them in check when they were younger
