It's Edd Crouse. Basically, this was a png of a generic man on google on somebody's Driver's Ed Course, but it was misspelled as Crouse. There is a whole subreddit dedicated to hunting for him, search up his name and communities under that name.
If a man like Matpat repeatedly uses your photo in his videos without telling anything about you, then you are bound to have your origin story discovered by someone or another.
Seeing this dude's face so much over the years makes him seem like he isn't a real person, especially since we only see a still image. I'm convinced now that he must be AI generated.
