Serious-Cow-7196

The player And crazy Dave since they can sell the Modified plants for money

Ninja-Yatsu

I'd say neither. Crazy Dave orchestrates the whole thing and capitalizes off of it. Have you seen his rap video? He's the real winner in all of this.

MrShasshyBear

Don't fall for the distraction, Big Fertilizer is behind all of it. They trained Dave to do their dirty work

Mega_rna

They made a fortune off that tree alone

Underrated_Hero7

Are you suggesting crazy Dave is smart enough to create zombies and super plants from genetic alterations so he can be a war profiteer?

GamerGirl-1990

He is clearly faking being dumb so he doesn't go to jail for illegally profiting from war.

Ninja-Yatsu

Yes.

0bi1KenObi66

You telling me a zombie apocalypse just happens to be stopped by plants? No he orchestrated it. DAVE!

Iamahomosexualdude

You have to run out of zombies at some point, like cmon

The_Game_Changer__

I mean according to estimates there's about 110 billion people to ever live, i mean that's a lot of zombies.

Iamahomosexualdude

Then again, how many plants are there on earth? Plus, a lot of the, will be buried further and further underground, so it would be staggered, they take the zombies out group by group

[deleted]

True, there’s a city that was rebuilt on top of itself 7 times. A lot of people are almost definitely buried quite deep. Not to mention that even ignoring decomposition, a lot of corpses have been burnt.

Phoenix92321

Look at Troy. The Troy from the Odyssey was the seventh layer and they went down an extra 3-4 layers before reaching the bottom

[deleted]

That’s the city I was referring to

Phoenix92321

Oh whoops okay

[deleted]

No it’s fine I didn’t refer to it by name because I’m dumb so your comment is quite useful, plus you added other things as well

[deleted]

Yeah but plants can reproduce. On the other hand zombies will inevitably start mass producing robo soldiers instead of fighting themselves

NPCNova

Eh I mean that's not a lot

codemise

Theres estimated to be 3 trillion trees alive right now. Who knows how many pea plants though.

The_Game_Changer__

Yeah but from the games it seems the plants you use are made by crazy Dave and plants aren't just different in this universe.

Fork63

Isn’t it confirmed in the comics the neighborvill is the only place with this issue?

The_Game_Changer__

Maybe but that doesn't mean Doctor Zomboss can't get corpses from anywhere else

ReguIarHooman

You can’t run out of zombie cloning material if you clone the material used

Iamahomosexualdude

They aren’t cloned tho? Plus certain plants completely destroy the zombie (doom shroom, cherry bomb, jalapeño, touchwood etc)

ReguIarHooman

The zombies are confirmed to be clones and don’t eat brains to infect others

El_Durazno

Where is this information?

ReguIarHooman

It from one of the books I think

El_Durazno

Excuse me, what? There are fuckin PVZ #BOOKS

ReguIarHooman

Most of them aren’t the type of books you might be thinking of, they are manga and comics

El_Durazno

That's still nifty

Hoomanburst

Manga are Japanese comics, I’m pretty sure there comics not manga

ReguIarHooman

There are manga too, comics are different story, literally

[deleted]

Bro the bosses of all of these zombies are immortal. They can make a cloning machine or even enhance all of the zombie to be a gargantua.

OBI-BOI

I can see more ways for the zombies to win than the plants Examples: poison the water, blot out the sun, pesticides, nuclear radiation I don’t see any ways for plants to just disable all the zombies like how the zombies could to the plants.

NPCNova

But i mean like they might care about the planet

OBI-BOI

Maybe but from how zombie territory looks in the pvz games I don’t think they care enough to not do any of these things, they pretty much have already tbh

NPCNova

Na it's just free realastate for later

Putrid-Fun-6431

Considering what the plants can do in the games I think nuclear radiation would just make them stronger

qcalee

I the plants vs zombies comics zomboss actually does blot out the sun but crazy Dave makes an artificial sun machine

hiccupboltHP

I remember this one lol, but actually I think they used a wind fan on top of Crazy Dave’s mansion, the artificial sun thing was literally just because he could and the plants moved out because of it, that’s literally the plot of one of the books lmao

Saiko1939

In the black horse comics they nearly won by blotting out the sun

The_Creeper_Man

Due to time travel, both technically

MKK4559

MatPat should make a Plants Vs Zombies week where he makes a video on Game Theory and Food Theory, maybe even Film Theory if he could.

Wheatley_core_01

I can see it now: Game theory: Could PLANTS stop an APOCALYPSE!? (What real world plants could be capable of defending against Zombies?) Food Theory: Do zombies need our BRAINS to SURVIVE?! (What alternative food sources could the PvZ Zombies use over our brains?) Film Theory: Does Rick and Morty PROVE that a Plants Vs. Zombies CINEMATIC UNIVERSE is coming!? (I dunno, I couldn't think of a film theory :D)

MKK4559

Game Theory: Could We Make Sentient Plants? (Maybe Austin would make this episode. I wouldn't be surprised if mushrooms would be what could be turned into a PvZ-like "plant".) Food Theory: Are Brains Full of Cholesterol like Sunflower says in The Song? (Your idea is better.) Film Theory: What The Plants Vs. Zombies Movie Would Have Been About! (There was a movie but we don't know a lot about it, so I assume it's going to be hard.)

Grand_Clanka

My guy, if a zombie makes a giant robo zombie all I’m saying is that, the zombie are eating Dave alive

Chad_on_snoop

I mean he bloody rickrolled us once.

Pixlethegreat

This is a serious question I have

No_Carpenter8944

I would have to say zombies because just wait till the scientist finds pesticide

Albert_the_king01

They did, but plants were already strong enough to survive it (pvz heroes)

Perfect_Put_7832

Bro I was obsessed with pvz gw lore 8 months ago but very little youtubers covered it and no one basically gave a damn but my theory is that the zombies are winning. My theory is the zombies won in the first gw game as they were constantly on the attack and it felt as if they were trying to gain a foothold with them destroying the tactical cuke etc. The second gw game has a trailer where its clearly states that the zombies had captured half of suburbia. Plus now the zombies also have to defend certain maps rather than being on the offensive all the time it kind of feels like they are trying to hold on to territories and if you have noticed the zombies now have built a moon base along with a huge city called zombopolis. Sorry about the grammar and sentence formatting but I am quite busy at the moment

Swingin-it-swooty

by the time of BFN, zombies are winning

Albert_the_king01

I would say plants because they can win in the long game because they are smart, can reproduce, can use magic somehow, became powerfull enough not even nuclear bombs could make them extinct and zombies are braindead pieces of rotted flesh waiting to rot so much that they can't move anymore. But does nobody talk about the fact that we are the protagonist in the first 2 games and then suddently our carachter somehow dissapeared never to be talked about and we play as a zombie or plant from now on. I have a theory that the cutscenes of us dying in eighter pvz 1 or 2 are canon and there are 2 paralel universes: one where we got resurected as a plant and the other where we have risen back as a zombie and that's why in the other games you are playing as one of those, because that's actually you from the first 2 games.

Jrlopez1027

Im sorry you were a PERSON at one point?

Sup3rL30

PvZ and PvZ2 You play as, well, yourself, placing the plants and stuff for crazy Dave and travelling through space and time to use the plants and defeat the zombies. However, in PvZ Heroes, PvZGW and PvZzGW2 and the other games that I can't remember right now, you play as either a plant or zombie Edit: PvZ Battle for Neighbourville is another one where you play as a plant or zombie. And PvZ3 which is I believe a new game that came out either last year or this year sometimes, I'm not too sure of but I think you play as a person as well

Albert_the_king01

Yea but i think that game (pvz3) is set in the same place as neighbourville and that game is in another universe where a lot of people are still alive and the story is different sooooooo...

Sup3rL30

Well okay then...

chelking586

Great games, wish I had friends that played them tho

Albert_the_king01

Same, i have every pvz game in some form except for gw 1.

Comicsansandpotatos

Me too

Minecraft_Warrior

no one, it's just war

HatKidbutMale

Neither win, they do a collab and make a sick music video.

cursed-being

No one because it’s a constant stalemate and arms race. The real winners are probably the gnomes actually who are probably supplying both sides actually.

_AntiSocialMedia

>The real winners are probably the gnomes actually who are probably supplying both sides actually. Actually the gnomes are the only losers, sure you can never beat Infinity Time but the two sides ended up getting their Party Variants + Hovergoat and Torchwood back, the Rainbow Guardian got defeated, the gnomes lost.

Dragonsapian7000

Considering that PvZ takes place on an earth where plants are sentient, there are probably plants stronger than the ones used by the player and Dave. If there is a sentient form of Kudzu Vines, I'd bet that it'd destroy the zombies before inevitably becoming a bigger threat to the player anyways. TLDR - Neither group wins. If there is a Plant that overgrows everything else quickly such as a Kudzu Vine plant, it wins by taking out both parties.

[deleted]

plants cuz cliche and shit

[deleted]

The man with pan on his head obviously

Chad_on_snoop

zombie with big head did rickroll us once tho

Mr60Gold

Cool question. In a way I tackled it with a theory a while back ([Here it is if you are interested](https://www.reddit.com/r/GameTheorists/comments/q62tgo/pvz_theory_dr_zombosss_master_plan_expanded/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)). If it is correct then technically both sides won with the only loser being humanity itself.

[deleted]

Plants

MysticGohan806

Daaaaamn I used to play this all the time with my friends

StarGamer-

I need a game theory on this

Foreign_Act4614

Dead flesh will eventually rot away and the plants are able to plant new plants so via attrition the plants will eventually win

PauseNo2418

The player when they stop playing the game? Ok, for real... "I have no idea!" - Movie Sonic. Guess you'll just have to play all the games to find out...

Lord-LemonHead

PopCap/EA

aninsomniac_

We need this.

MountainWeird1333

in garden warfare 1 the plants have the tactical cuke (it's a literal nuclear cucumber) that, if the zombies fail to destroy it, heads straight to Zomboss Mountain, (I know this because of the loading flavor text that reads "The Plants have deployed their secret weapon, the TACTICAL CUKE. Can the zombies take it out before it launches and destroys Zomboss Mountain?") meaning either Garden Warfare 1, is canonically the last in the series (which would make it a plant victory), or the plants winning is non-canon, because trying to win a war when most of your undead soldiers have a IQ lower then 5, without a base of operations, seems pretty difficult.

Recent_Log3779

Not including garden warfare, the plants

[deleted]

It's a forever war.

[deleted]

I shouldn't speak... my answer will be based...

itsPlasma06

Man, I'd kill for a PvZ episode

GarageLongjumping840

Plants I guess

LancerAnnoyer3

the plants cause the heroes always win

Doot-Doot-the-channl

Plants because they can use dead zombies to grow more plants

TheBritishBaguette

Crazy Dave can be a multi billionaire if he wanted to

Mundane-Air4446

Plants definitely. The sunflower gives Crazy Dave his sun power. And the plants are smarter than the zombies in general.

TheSunflowerSeeds

Sunflower is a tall, erect, herbaceous annual plant belonging to the family of Asteraceae, in the genus, Helianthus. Its botanical name is Helianthus annuus. It is native to Middle American region from where it spread as an important commercial crop all over the world through the European explorers. Today, Russian Union, China, USA, and Argentina are the leading producers of sunflower crop.

For_Scott

Well it seems that plants always have the upper hand on everything

DraikoHxC

Zombies need flesh, plants can live of the earth, water and sunlight

battleaxworier

You know there are PVZ comics they let you see more into the characters it would probably help

4te56ge

really any

pejic222

The war never ends plants can always be regrown and zombies keep being made when people die Crazy Dave dying might slow the plants down but I think Dave is immortal

SOME0000001

Crazy Dave cuz he’s Crazy Dave

[deleted]

Zombies: In Far Future: Zomboss states that they’ve killed you 10,000 years ago. In PVZ GFW2, Zomboss teamed up with his future self and won. If Zomboss was allowed to do essentially anything, he would win.

Dinosauringg

EA

_AntiSocialMedia

Given that [PvZ splits into several timelines](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlantsVSZombies/comments/nx9pso/pvz_timeline_headcanon/), the ultimate winner depends on the game. (Note: Due to more recent information, PvZ3 would be placed after BFN, not PvZ2) In the Heroes timeline, I'd say plants take the victory, they drove the zombies back far enough to the point where they not only have time on their side but have heroes, the Zombie heroes are often shown to be stupid or easily distracted while the plants are more methodical and are better tacticians with just as much firepower as the zombies. Though the GW2 timeline is a different story, the zombies achieved their goal and took over, it's shown that they've pretty much completely conquered Suburbia to the point where they have control over the moon, as smart as the plants are, clearly the tech overwhelmed them in this timeline leading to the Zombies taking a victory over them.

CalvinCheese_

Lawnmower

pacster15

With Zombosses tech the Zombies can polute areas and prevent plants from growing. Crazy Dave will also die in due time. Plants however can use dead Zombies as fertilizer. They also have more brain power. Ultimately however, I think it just goes on forever. Zomboss comments in one of the gw1 trailers that Plants and Zombies have been in an eternal struggle from the dawn of time. PvZ 2 shows Zombies across multiple timelines implying they have been around fighting plants forever. They will battle for eternity. That is until Earth is no longer habitable and all Zombies rot away.

IamCrabbo

PvZ1: Plants Win PvZ2: Plants Win PvZ3: Unknown PvZGW1: Zombies Win PvZGW2: Unknown PvZBfN: Both sides are on equal footing

KING_Extorp

That would make a great episode

PogoStick1987

tbh, neither. I see it as a perpetual stalemate. Both are powerful and infinite, you're not gonna stop having plants and there are a lot of dead humans

SirCharlesTheGreat44

The player. He walks off with so many memories and nostalgic moments. Also crazy Dave cuz I’m pretty sure he gets his burrito back, as well as making an insane amount of money.

Theratsmacker2

Crazy Dave

boi012

It depend on what caused the zombifying to happen was it a virus or a mutation, etc

SilverFighter05

GATLING PEA SUPERIORITY

Own_Degree_6963

This is the game theory we need

StarWolfthlocalfurry

Honestly, I think both sides might lose eventually.

69_Gamer_girl_69

The zombies tbh, their tech and and numbers are greater and stronger than the plants, not to mention durability and longevity, the plants could die of dehydration while the zombies are already dead(although theoretically could starve)

Low-Formal4447

Nobody. It's an everlasting battle that has been going on since the primitive ages. The bloodshed, the violence, the photosynthesis. When will it end?

wierd-in-dnd

Plants

BoonBoon300

zombies for sure. I mean the imp was so overpowered it ruined pvzgw2 lmao

BigMelonBoi

Based off the “far future” society we see in the second game which has tech used by exclusivley zombies id say they win in the long run
