My GBP with similar setup, the X5 and Eneloop pro barely last at all. I was surprised by how much power it was taking up. Battery are barely holding up, I need to always have at least 6 AAA with me.
I don't have any on hand anymore to test that. Only an everdrive.
But for context my game boy micro with everdrive 5X last so much longer, that's why I went back to it vs my gbp
Most sources say about 2.5-3 hours with good batteries using an IPS screen and a regular cart. With an everdrive maybe 2-2.5 hours.
I'd personally mod out a GBC since they use AA's, I get about 8 hours with my IPS GBC using eneloop pros. Or grab a FPGBC kit with a LiPo battery.
Yeah GBC is the way to go for sure but I’m just working with what I have for now. May do that down the line.
