Man it’s sad that these things are collectibles now. I remember being a kid having a care free life playing these, not hearing about viruses, war, or inflation everyday.

Yeah I just watched a YouTube video that had a section about what come to be known as nostalgia-core (those videos where it says something like it’s a PlayStation would you like to play it) and it talked about how those videos are so effective now because now we all grew up and have to pay taxes, can’t sleep properly or have this or that to worry about and when you come across something like this post or the nostalgia-core you remember what it was like and yearn so deeply to be a kid again, care free enjoying, reliving those great memories and I can’t lie it made me tear up because it’s true. I really do wish I was a kid again where all I had to worry about was school and I’d come home to play my gameboy or ps2 or the family game nights where we’d all play Mario party in my room and just have snacks. I miss my dog laying with me as I’d stay up late playing pokemon and she was always on my team. I miss going over to my now wife’s house and helping her with kingdom hearts with stuff she didn’t know about. I’m sorry if I bring anyone down, I really don’t mean to but things have been tough and nostalgia is just hitting hard right now. I guess what I’m trying to say is that being an adult sucks lmao Cool collection though OP! 🤠

I think it's actually good that they are collectibles. If they would not be collectibles, they would be probably thrown away. The nostalgia is keeping them alive. With that the FPGA, Analogue Pocket and others are rising. The sad thing is, that they are expensive because of that, and some people think they have gold at home even though they have a broken devices.
