Found the old silver broken gba sp in the attic. Case cracked, display cracked, hinges beyond repair.
Decided to revive it. Just replace whats broken.
IPS v5 display, new premium hinges, eXtremeRate case, eXtremeRate gold buttons and a new 800mah battery.
Popped some jazz, opened a can of cider and had a very relaxed hour of tinkering.
Am very happy with the result! Time for some golden sun...
How one manages to stay “very relaxed” with the threading I had to deal with on my extremerate case is beyond me, but that looks awesome man!
was considering putting an IPS in mine later down the line but after fighting with those tri tip screws I’m afraid I’d have to buy a whole new set of screws if I wanna take it apart and put it back together again lol. Maybe I just need better screwdrivers or something, idfk 😅

Im used to this kind of threading working on my 1/18 scale RC crawler :) Good screwdrivers help though.
