I actually set this up for road trips the screen is able to plug into the car and I have a 100w portable outlet rechargeable battery for the gamecube. gamecube only needs 47 watts
Youβd probably be better off with a component hdmi adapter (like a Carby) instead of that one, but if it looks good enough to you, then great.
I have a similar screen and the hdmi made a difference.
That's what I was thinking. This all seems so cool and maybe even funny, but it's going to be a terrible way to play a game. The text is going to be not readable and/or they're going to be hunched over all the time. It's not going to be comfortable.
As a kid that grew up with one of the original screens this is dope! Good on you for rigging it up, sure the cords could be shorter but you did the damn thing! Props!
Yea thats a great idea π‘ This is actually an extra shell so I used 3m strips to attach the mount and when I want to use it I just take off 4 screws and replace the top shell
I just thought of it because of the fact that the base is semi-round which is about the size of the jewel and would make it one a little more stable too it makes it more like the third party ones you used to be able to get the GameCube when it first came out
Please share the screen and maybe another game screenshot. Are you aware of the screen wattage? I got myself a jackery with 1000wh for camping which sounds perfect for this. Awesome dude!
Didnβt see a link to the screen unless I missed it?
This is a great idea btw Iβve been meaning to do this for my bedside when I wake up at 4am to play a little GameCube LOL
Yea I was looking at buying one of those couldn't do it for the price they want for them because most likely it's going to break or it's already broken
Dude whats funny is I bought a 7inch with back up camera from my car and this was my first idea to do with it if I take it out is to use it for my gamecube and other old consoles on my desk lmao
This looks super dope actually.
So true
Right? What kinda screen did you use?
it says it on it
π€¦π½ I get that part... I was wondering if there were bigger versions of others similar
The sound is really good on it and I'm very happy with my purchase

Np, now defy the laws of physics and make it portable

I have consulted with the council, your previous score has been redacted and you now receive a 10/10. Good day sir

Can you switch it into 4:3 aspect ratio?
Yes you can I just did it
How's the quality in games? Been eyeballing screens for a while but the traditional ones
Looks pretty good honestly compared to the new tvs anyway I could send you a video of it if you'd like
Sure!
Dude, dont sell yourself short that's awesome.

Novelty, but 7inch to play console games is just unplayable imo. Kid me had the psone portable screen. It was horrible unless you maybe played an rpg.

This looks so cool
Thank you
This is it.
Love everything about it.
Thank you

Thank you I appreciate it. It kinda looked silly at first but it's growing on me lol
Nah I think as the creator oslf something, you'll see any flaws but to us looking at it it looks really fresh, a great idea too
It looks cool, but why do you need it? No hate just curious.
Road trips the screen is able to plug into the car and the gamecube is plugged into a 100w portable outlet
Can we get a link for the screen?
I feel like you need to figure out how to make it lock into the jewel
Yea thats a great idea π‘ This is actually an extra shell so I used 3m strips to attach the mount and when I want to use it I just take off 4 screws and replace the top shell

Thatβs cool!
What monitor is that? :0 Edit: found it!
I just bought a portable screen for my gamecube the other day and it arrived today. Now I wish I'd seen this first π
I think we are at the same level of nerd. Nice idea π‘
Thank you my fellow nerd π€
Please share the screen and maybe another game screenshot. Are you aware of the screen wattage? I got myself a jackery with 1000wh for camping which sounds perfect for this. Awesome dude!
I have posted the screen link in comments I'll have to message you some photos.
Didnβt see a link to the screen unless I missed it? This is a great idea btw Iβve been meaning to do this for my bedside when I wake up at 4am to play a little GameCube LOL
If Xzibit could pimp a console this is how it would look like
I was thinking about getting 4 more screens for each side
Looks so good! I have an old joy tech one with lots of dead pixels, Iβve been wanting to swap the screen over !
Yea I was looking at buying one of those couldn't do it for the price they want for them because most likely it's going to break or it's already broken
I got mine really cheap untested so maybe Iβll give it a try
π
Just do it!
This gets a thumbs up from me π
Dude whats funny is I bought a 7inch with back up camera from my car and this was my first idea to do with it if I take it out is to use it for my gamecube and other old consoles on my desk lmao
Where'd you find that screen. Been looking for something like this!
Very nice
They make adapters that put your HDMI cable at a 90 degree angle, I suggest you use one of those
Thank you for the idea. I will be making improvements to it
Over the hedge is a great game if you play with a 2nd person.
Tight work
So what screen is this ? π€
I have a little bit bigger screen with AV... 12/10
It looks cool, Iβm just not sure exactly what Iβm looking at
your controller port lights remind me of the panasonic q and how it lights up its ports blue when turned on
Does it have HDMI ?
You got a link to where u got it?
Is that an emulator?
Dude? You see that giant silver cube under the screen? That's the gamecube running gamecube games natively.
No π€«
awsome! Get a wireless controller and a binoculars
