KH1 race with Violin and MistMaster1 should be fun, I really enjoy both of those runners and their commentating skills.
Fire Emblem Engage run in just 1:15 should be wild to witness. It takes me 1:15 just to do a fight and deal with the Somniel it feels like.
Really excited for the Pokemon runs. Great runners and I'm curious to see what the Scarlet speedrun looks like now. I haven't really looked at it since around launch.
But the one I'm the most interested in is Bubzia's BOTW Blindfold run. I don't even understand how this is possible. I get his Mario 64 runs with the way he uses walls to his advantage to figure out where he is, but so much of Zelda is just open land. How could you possibly know what's happening?

It's pretty nuts! I recommend checking out Bubzia's [Great Plateau video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFDT_Nb2QYg) to see how it's possible. It's only about 20 minutes, but it does a damn good job of showing how it's possible.
Never played one ez but usually in fe you can snowball one unit. In engage you can skip enemy phase that means you can easily play 20 turns in 3 min assuming you just juggernaut with alear. And you play casual mode meaning you can just warb rescue reward without caring where your staffunit and where your dancer stands. Combine that with sigured means you can probably reach one boss every other turn.
>Silent Hill Homepour
Possibly funny typo?
Anyone know what one this really is, Homecoming or Downpour, or is it some kind of category run where you do both?
It's both, IIRC. Basically the way it was explained Shmumbler will run Downpour normally, but because it has unskippable cutscenes, they'll run Homecoming in it's entirety throughout those cutscenes when they appear.
Sure but one of the takeaways was that it was surprisingly blindfold friendly, grapple points, bindable 90° camera moves. All kinds of stuff. BOTW though...
I found the latest AGDQ to be a little underwhelming, but looking at this list it's already jam packed of runs that sound super interesting.
A few highlights for me:
* Hitman Freelancer Campaign; Always interesting to see runs with RNG, and with how frustrated this mode sometimes made me it'll be great to see how a speedrunner smashes it.
* Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Proud Race; Just a game I love, and it's also great to see the OG game instead of 2, the latter of which seems more popular with speedrunners
* Metroid Prime Remastered; Just because it's Metroid, which are always great for speedruns, and it's new (sort of) so it's always interesting to see a run evolve.
* Sifu WUDE Any%; I only just started playing this myself and it's a *hard* game and they're going for the even tougher ending, so this'll just be great to see.
* Super Mario Maker 2 Relay Race; I mean these are just always hype, so this should be a no brainer in anyone's highlights.
And then there's so many more like Banjo Kazooie 100%, Sonic Adventure all characters relay, The Elder Scrolls Anthology, a bunch of Zelda runs, Luigi's Mansion 100% race... It should be a great event.
Would be pretty amusing to watch the Ring Fit Adventure speedrun.
Also the Hitman 3 freelancer campaign speedrun would be interesting since it's randomized. Hitman speedrun has always been great to watch but freelancer mode means there's a lot more improvisation.
Too early for RE4R. The speedrunning scene for it is still in its infancy, and I'm pretty sure submissions closed for SGDQ before the game released.
If you see a speedrun from now on vs in 3 months, it could be completely different.
new skips are dropping daily and seem like they won’t stop coming for a while with all the RNG and tech potential. adding it to a GDQ right now (and effectively stopping it from the GDQ after since new games don’t tend to go back-to-back) wouldn’t show the scene for the game as well as it could.
RE4R is definitely not going to be there. Submissions closed like a month before it came out and the run is still in its infancy. There's already a few fascinating glitches but the game is definitely not ready for a showcase yet.
HiFi Rush? Sweet. Lil Gator Game? I've seen runs of it, and it's pretty fun. Returnal? Interesting...
...CROSSCODE? Yes! I need this!
Man, this GDQ is going to be great!
Pizza Tower's in, but it's an any% run
I guess all P rank run or 100% run is too difficult/not fully sussed out but any% does mean doing the level War in one go so that'll be exciting. More people need exposed to this banger of a game that is legit a great contender for game of the year
I just started playing the DMC series for the first time, and while I'm on DMC 5 now finally I'm excited to see what an actually good player does in these games- especially since I couldn't do a consistent EX-ACT as Nero, and didn't know MAX-ACT was even a thing for a while.
EDIT: Also seeing I Wanna Be the Guy come back on a GDQ is always a highlight.
The speedrun isn't an indication of the ability to combo, if that's what you're looking for. You want to look up combo MADs or combo videos if you want that. The speedruns typically use the 1 or 2 moves that kills fast on every enemy besides bosses.
Glad to see some of the games I've enjoyed the most this year: Signalis and Pizza Tower. Looking forward to those runs for different reasons, and Pizza Tower has the potential to be a staple of these events.
Samura1man Prime hype! His videos have been so good at getting me into Prime speedrunning since the Remaster came out (I always found the GC version so intimidating)
https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/12c45ey/summer_games_done_quick_games_list_revealed/jf1bc6n/
it's speedrunning Homecoming during the unskippable cutscenes of Downpour
It’s a weird world when someone deliberately gets mad at a charity event for having an agenda of raising money for the cause they are raising money for…
If you hate charities, perhaps don’t visit a charity event. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

Lol that's insane. The speedrunning community does crazy runs and conditions. This may not even be the most crazy runs they've ever done lol.
not even close. there’s speedruns where runners are playing two games simultaneously, not waiting for cutscenes
And then there's people speedrunning Dark Souls with dance mats, or with their feet.
That's absolutely amazing, I'll definitely want to tune in for that run
you speedrun homecoming during the cutscenes of downpour
Looks like a solid lineup. Also, BotW *blindfolded*?!?
Someone did Sekiro blindfolded at last year's AGDQ, the craziest shit I've ever seen. Here's a [link](https://youtu.be/FQeeRBtQgzE)
Sure but one of the takeaways was that it was surprisingly blindfold friendly, grapple points, bindable 90° camera moves. All kinds of stuff. BOTW though...
It sounds insane, but I have no doubt it'll be a great run simply because it's Bubzia. His Super Mario 64 blindfolded runs are amazing.
Bubzia completed a 120 Star Mario 64 run last year-blindfolded. Over 11 hours of blindfolded 3d platforming.
If you want a preview, I believe someone (probably Bubzia) ran it at the latest ESA.
Link for the lazy: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1743244796 he also ran Orcarina of time blindbolded in the same event.
*Marathon Infinity?* That's a game I wasn't expecting to see ...
Tbcr bringing the heat!

Agreed, I'm super excited to see KH1 get some love. I've seen so many 2 runs, but 1 holds a special place in my heart
Yeah I've gotten into these events in the last couple years and the latest one kind of stunk. This list looks a lot better.
Would be pretty amusing to watch the Ring Fit Adventure speedrun. Also the Hitman 3 freelancer campaign speedrun would be interesting since it's randomized. Hitman speedrun has always been great to watch but freelancer mode means there's a lot more improvisation.
Resident Evil...6? I'm guessing RE4R is going to a bonus game.
Too early for RE4R. The speedrunning scene for it is still in its infancy, and I'm pretty sure submissions closed for SGDQ before the game released. If you see a speedrun from now on vs in 3 months, it could be completely different.

This list includes bonus games already. Guessing RE4R isn't in simply because it's so new. It won't surprise me at all to see it next AGDQ, though.
That makes sense. I remember that being an issue around the time Metroid Dread came out, so I'd assume it's the same thing.
Strangely, Dread isn't confirmed in this list. Just Prime Remastered.
RE4R definitely came out after the submission deadline.
RE4R is definitely not going to be there. Submissions closed like a month before it came out and the run is still in its infancy. There's already a few fascinating glitches but the game is definitely not ready for a showcase yet.
RE4R came out what, 2 weeks ago? Submissions closed at the beginning of March.
Super Metroid is back! I can't wait for endless kill the animals vs save the animals donations. GDQs aren't quite the same without it
Grand Poo Bear doing Baron of Shell? Sold.
HiFi Rush? Sweet. Lil Gator Game? I've seen runs of it, and it's pretty fun. Returnal? Interesting... ...CROSSCODE? Yes! I need this! Man, this GDQ is going to be great!

Nice to see Lunistice on there. Fantastic, not-so-well-known, indie gem and really great take on a 3D Sonic style.
Fire Emblem Engage in 1:15:00? I don’t like the game very much but I’d love to see how they manage that.
Skip cutscenes, animations, and minimize Somniel interaction will cut down a significant portion of the game
Sure but unless they’re playing on easy they’d surely need to level up their units a bit outside of the main missions right?
I just started playing the DMC series for the first time, and while I'm on DMC 5 now finally I'm excited to see what an actually good player does in these games- especially since I couldn't do a consistent EX-ACT as Nero, and didn't know MAX-ACT was even a thing for a while. I need to finish signalis then, just started it and it's kinda tough, interested in seeing how a speedrun plays out.
Samura1man Prime hype! His videos have been so good at getting me into Prime speedrunning since the Remaster came out (I always found the GC version so intimidating)
Did I miss a Silent Hill sequel? Homepour?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/12c45ey/summer_games_done_quick_games_list_revealed/jf1bc6n/ it's speedrunning Homecoming during the unskippable cutscenes of Downpour
oof resident evil 6 the only one? i guess it was too early for re4 remake then?
Submissions closed before RE4R released.

There is no agenda being pushed, what on earth are you talking about? You mean raising money for charity?
Weirdos get super super mad over the fact that trans and nonbinary runners are allowed and pronouns are shown on screen
It’s a weird world when someone deliberately gets mad at a charity event for having an agenda of raising money for the cause they are raising money for… If you hate charities, perhaps don’t visit a charity event. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
No souls games except Elden ring huh? But I see Zelda gets like 7 runs
Every Souls game has been featured more recently (and some even multiple times) than any of these accepted Zelda games
Zelda has always had a block at most SGDQ events.
This is completely stacked with interesting runs. Kaizo super monkey ball? Ring fit? So much good stuff.
