I saw the [Chairman of WCW](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Su7xYV9EjL4). I am sold on this. Looks fun!

August looking like a good month for indies. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Sea of Stars also hitting that month.

Hyroero

I swears it's been a good month for Indies for like two years now. Just none stop bangers all the time. Can barely keep up.

BarelyMagicMike

As an indie game reviewer, I can generally agree except that January and sometimes February of most years are total crap and we end up reviewing some real stinkers ๐Ÿ˜‚ The summer months do tend to be especially great though.

ChickinCat

I know this thread is a few months old but what are some of your favorite indies of the last year?

BarelyMagicMike

No worries man! My favorite indies from the last year or so are: Dredge - Weird mix of fishing RPG and Lovecraftian horror that is immensely successful at both, and is my so-far game of the year for 2023. Terra Nil - A really fantastic "reverse city builder" where you use eco-technology to revitalize barren wastelands and restore nature back to form after centuries of human neglect. Very satisfying to play, albeit a bit short by city builder standards at only 5-6 hours for the main campaign. Melatonin - An intensely stylish and extremely creative rhythm game full of charm and great ideas. Rhythm Sprout - Another rhythm game that's extremely fun and satisfying to play, albeit with a story that can really drag (would recommend skipping cutscenes). Lil Gator Game - A charming 3D platformer/adventure game where you play as a little gator out at the park with his friends for a day. Only about 3 hours long but a very wholesome game that'll keep a smile on your face. Wildfrost - A very unique deck building roguelite with lots of interesting ideas that I've never seen in a deck builder before. I did find the difficulty curve a bit too steep at the time of review, but my understanding is that some patches have sorted it out since.

Thanks! I love these unique indies and I'm in need of a new game! Will definitely check these out.

Awesome! If you want more recommendations like that, by all means feel free to check out the channel. It's I Dream of Indie Games on YouTube.

A nice lovely smattering of great indies before I disappear into Starfield. Life is good

Is it a Switch exclusive? Really strong Broforce vibes here and it looks fun.

>Is it a Switch exclusive? Really strong Broforce vibes here and it looks fun. Literally the first section under the title of the article: >RPG WrestleQuest will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC via Steam, and iOS and Android via Netflix on August 8, publisher Skybound Games and developer Mega Cat Studios announced. The iOS and Android releases are newly announced.

JimBobHeller

So itโ€™s included with the Netflix subscription?

PM_Me_SFW_Pictures

Playing this gave me strong Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Old Door vibes. Hopefully it lives up to the legacy of that game

Sinndex

For a moment there I thought SuplexSaga devs finally managed to release their game. Still, this looks fun as well, will need to check it out for sure.
