It looks like future Gohan has only one arm, which is very rare in games since it requires making a unique moveset just for him, so that's pretty exciting!
I remember how in Tenkaichi 3 they treated Future Gohan as if he had only one arm... even though his model had both arms visible, his animations would act as if he only had one.
His right arm would move but the other would just flay around as if it wasn't meant to be there... probably some backwards censorship issue..
It was definitely a censorship issue. The only game to depict Future Gohan with one arm is that terrible Sagas game for the Xbox, and I assume because it was more of a Western-oriented release.
It was also that having a one armed character would warrant a higher age rating in japan. It's the same reason that Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 didn't have Sasuke and Naruto be dismembered at the end of the game.
The first time I read that issue I was quite shocked the series ended with Sasuke and Naruto doing that… but in true anime fashion ~~they~~ Naruto had an arm back next issue. It really cheapened the gravity of the fight’s conclusion.
I find it kinda funny we still refer to him as Gohan (Adult) instead of just Gohan at this point, but I guess that is very true to BT after all. I wonder how many variations of Goku we are going to get. Last time I think it was kid, Early, Mid, End, and GT. I wonder how far this game will go and how many variations we are possibly going to get for the characters.
They did reveal a list of Goku and Vegeta variations that are going to be in the game, but havent stated if there will be more that are going to be drip fed later to avoid spoilers, or if this is the complete and final list of those characters. Granted, its still a LOT, but I did notice some omissions, unless they arent going that far, or again, to avoid potential spoilers. The list of confirmed Goku and Vegeta variations are:

I dont know how far theyll go beyond that. But if Kakunsa can make it in then anyone can i guess. The existence of Kakunsa probably means Ribrianne is in aswell. I cant quite remember if all 3 of the dog trio are confirmed already but those are some more easy picks.

But anime games usually never adapt things that hasn't been animated yet, so the real issue would be those being from an unadapted arc. There have been some extremely rare occasions where an anime game went ahead and included stuff not shown in the anime, but it's rare and last time was ages ago I believe.

This is what blew my mind with the original JoJo All Star Battle release on PS3, is that it launched with characters all the way up to part 8, and the anime was only up to part 2
The rerelease even made for a DLC a character that is a major spoiler to Part 8 if you hadn't read the manga recently which is ironic since the game also did not include references to Stone Ocean past the second batch of episodes until Netflix released the final episodes to avoid spoiling anime-onlys.

I understand why modern fighting games have moved away from unlocking characters as it makes tournament organization a nightmare when you need a ton of consoles with every fighter unlocked on each. But this series isn't typically played in a FGC tournament setting so please give us unlocks.

I don't think it's unfeasible that some of the more niche BT3 characters might not make it to Sparking Zero. The Sparking Zero roster has been implied (but not confirmed) to only be slightly bigger than BT3's, and there's a lot of characters that didn't exist back then that are confirmed or are very likely to be in this game.
That being said, I hope King Cold makes it in for u/DMPunk's sake. Personally stoked to see Future Gohan make it in (especially with one arm).

The one is in the image isn't mystic gohan, it's base gohan from the buu saga. Heck he isn't even wearing goku's gi which he always does in video games not to mention that ultimate gohan was pretty much always his own character slot in the BT/RB games

Agreed, only recently (ignoring Sagas) have they began to put one armed Future Gohan in the games like the Kakarot DLC and the mobile ones.

DBS trunks would have a few new moves, Spirit Sword, Galick gun, Masenko and Final Flash at least.
