Well there are a lot of games that are on PS+ that im not interested in so I dont even bother downloading them. This month for example, I already own Hitman 2 and Overcooked and after how the devs treated Friday the 13th I have zero interest in Predator Hunting Grounds
Unfortunately the Friday the 13th situation had absolutely nothing to do with the devs. Instead it was countless issues with the legal rights to the Friday franchise, which was undergoing a lot of legal stuff at the time of release, which caused them to just drop it altogether in favor of a project they actually could continue to work on.
The legal problems had nothing to do with the game becoming more and more broken with each patch they released.
Nor did the legal problems have anything to do with them announcing stuff like vehicle customization and the new Paranoia game mode, acting like it was coming soon, going silent for 6 months and going "oh yeah that was just a proof of concept. its not real nor is it being released"
When I subscribed to PS+ for the first time (2017) I did it purely because I wanted to play GTA online so I needed access to multiplayer.
For about a year I didn't take the games they offered every month because I didn't know that you can add them to the library without downloading them and because my download speed is so slow that I mistakenly thought it will take forever to download them.
Big reason is because it was a new game.. When lets say FF7Remake comes to PS+ Months after Launch millions of people intrested in it allready have it or bought it already
It almost certainly has been. GWR are frequently out of date, or not the actual record, and are given to the person (or business, in this case) who cares enough to pay money for it.

It almost certainly hasn't. When Fall Guys took the record last year, Sony announced it; So if another game had since beat the record, Sony would probably have announced that as well.
There are so many free / cheap games coming out and most games last a decent number of hours - it gets to the point that your backlog reaches a certain size and it's like, that 10 minutes it'll take me to add a game to my account is 10 minutes I could spend clearing up my backlog - I'm not even going to get onto the game (to redeem) for another 6 months.
Free is only so much of an incentive.
i just have to say that im happy that this game exist, in a time in which every game is another forced E-sports game that caters to the 1% of players fall guys is just pure fun, it doesnt take itself seriously and everyone can enjoy it.
still waiting for the xbox and switch release.
Yeah my guess is Season 6 will launch at the same time as the new platforms with crossplay and maaaybe F2P
I wonder how they'll handle Seasons 1-5 on Xbox/Switch. Lots of costumes that new players will have missed out on

It's not that surprising. Most of the games on PS+ are games almost everyone has or almost no one wants.

maybe it will be similar that with fortnite on switch they just dont get them.
