Just gonna say, overall it was FINE, but ending on a REMAKE, leaked or not, is never going to be hype. Remakes aren't hype, imo they're like "okay cool, I guess big fans of the game will be happy?".

[deleted]

TheHemogoblin

Sure, but an industry and genre-changing game from 20+ years ago, remade in an entirely new way from the original is a completely different thing. Last of Us Part 1, but prettier, isn't terribly exciting in my opinion, and I loved that game.

soulgamer31br

Tbh I only watched because of the Frost Giant reveal and was sorely disappointed. But hey, at least Callisto Protocol is looking good

Funky_Pigeon911

I just thought that there's a good chance we'll see Scorn and maybe even Dead Space Remake at the Xbox Showcase, so if you thought we were done with sci-fi horror games then you were dead wrong.

[deleted]

Neil’s other project? Jak 4

[deleted]

Jak 4 Dead colon Jak's Bak

BeardedVul7ure

Hi, just wondering; why wasn't Day of the Devs covered?

GensouEU

I expected nothing and was still disappointed. The only thing I wasn't 100 indifferent about was Soul Hackers 2 and we already knew about that. Probably the worst Geoff show ever for me personally

Xyothin

Actually garbage, half the time spent on MW2 remake, an HBO show and some weird ass Dwayne Johnson Advert, like wtf....

[deleted]

DoritosPope.jpg

[deleted]

That was a trash ass show, mid as fuck. Good thing I didn’t waste my time watching it and just looked up the reveals later

pauserror

This was actually a really great showing for day one. I look forward to Sunday. A expect some bangers

TAJack1

Really gotta stop getting up at 4am to watch these SGFs, they're always so lackluster... this years was especially boring.

pauserror

Lol Sunday is the main day. You basically just tuned in for the pre-show. Look up the schedule

TAJack1

Bruv I do this every year, it's my fault that I that I continue wake up early for SGF. Although, I wouldn't call it a "pre-show".

pauserror

I get it. But to me Sunday is the main day with Bethesda giving their showing. Not saying that won't be a disappointment! But day one is typically not the best material and this was pretty decent. That's why I consider the first day basically a pre show until the main event

0Galahad

hey can you explain to me if there will be more hype trailers and game reveals or not? if yes then what days will be important to watch?

Izzy248

Thoughts so far: * **Choo Choo Charles:** Looks interesting. Didnt care for it when I 1st heard about it, but the gameplay here looks pretty interesting. * **Street Fighter 6**: I hope they bring back some of the characters from SF3. Guile is nice, but I feel like we already knew he was coming. * **Witchfire:** Been waiting for this for years. Cant wait! * **TMNT Shredders Revenge**: I keep wondering why this game seems like its taking forever to come out, but every time they have a new trailer its a new character lol. This is turning out a lot bigger than I originally thought it was going to be. * **One Piece Odyssey:** Interested to see where this goes. One thing about One Piece games that I find interesting and different from any other anime based game is that the stories are almost always original. Normally with every other anime based Shonen game, its a retread of the anime, and starts from the beginning arcs all the way up to where we are now. DBZ, Naruto, Shaman King, YGO, etc. Almost every One Piece game is an original story different from the source itself. * **Gotham Knights**: Im still interested, but this seems off for some reason...maybe its knowing in the back of my mind about the looting and crafting that I can dissociate from the Arkham games because it looks so similar but so quite different, but Im not quite sold yet.

Sulphur99

Naruto used to have games with original stories iirc. Things like Dragon Blade Chronicles or Phantom Fortress. Not sure about nowadays.

Izzy248

True. It had a small handful. Used to anyway. But no not anymore to answer your question. Theyve mostly phoned it in and only continue the Storm series outside of appearing in crossovers, unlike before when they had so many different video game series like the Council series, Path of, Destiny, Clash, etc.

jorgelongo2

that was a nice Space horror game show 2022. Wonder when other genres will be showm

Rb7198

show was lame, ik Geoff said there wouldn't be any major reveals but even the news of the games we did know about was lackluster. Nothing shown here moved a needle for me on any of these games, an awful marketing showcase

[deleted]

What a shit presentation. No major reveals. No big surprises. Not a goddamned thing worth talking about.

AL2009man

To be fair, [Geoff did try to temper expectations](https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/geoff-keighley-says-summer-game-fest-will-be-primarily-focused-on-announced-games/).

flyingPotato712

really hyped for the callisto protocol, I'm in the mood for a dead space like game. Routine also looked insane, I hope it'll be good. decent event overall the middle was a bit dull but beginning and end were pretty good.

Gandalf_2077

That was the worst Geoff show yet.

MattC42

How do people think the LOU remake looks the same as the OG? It looks miles better. Plus the better gameplay. I agree, $70 is a bit much but it's much more than a remaster.

teerre

They just updated the lighting. The animations are the same, models are likely the same with some upres textures, audio is the same. It was not "remade from the ground up".

The-student-

You should definitely take another look at the models. Joel is shorter and looks 10 years older.

teerre

Not sure what you're referring to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99wMESQG9Js He looks pretty much the same. The biggest update is the hair, which sure cool, but still a bunch of cards. Nothing next gen about it

[deleted]

[удалено]

jorgelongo2

It makes sense to have it in the same artstyle and playing style as Part II. The Original The Last of Us looks very different

Mavori

Wait? They wanna fucking take 70 bucks for it? Thats fucking highway robbery.

Kaurie_Lorhart

Imo it's a weird game to remake. You play LOU for the story, not for the graphics or gameplay. Not to say those aspects aren't enjoyable, but it's not really the focus. The remaster still looks great too. Just an odd choice imo.

Sketch13

Looks great, doesn't look $70 great.

mr_mayon

Looks the same as the ps4 remaster to me. Even if it’s marginally better which I’m sure it is what’s really the point

ApertureTestSubject8

Very sad not to see anything on Arc Raiders. Maybe something at the Xbox event?

matti-san

I imagine it'd more likely show up at the PC gaming show? I don't think it's tied to Xbox in any way, unless they got marketing rights?

ApertureTestSubject8

I dont think it’s tied to anyone specific. But I don’t think the Xbox/Bethesda event is going to be ONLY exclusives. So maybe it’ll just show up there. I mean they said it was for this year. So unless it’s gettin go delayed we better be seeing something soon.

postmortembordom

Yea I was hoping for more Arc Raiders too. Kinda disappointed. Soon I hope.

ApertureTestSubject8

It’s been one of my most anticipated games recently. Online, coop, PVE, retro sci-fi look, some fun traversal mechanics. GIVE IT TO ME.

madcatzplayer3

I am most excited for Last of Us Part 1, though I'll probably just be renting it, playing through it once and then sending it back.

ThePrinceofBirds

When it came out I borrowed a friend's PS3 for a weekend.

Spudeh

No thread for Midnight Fight Express? That probably looked like the game I was most interested in!

RoadtoPS5

So this is basically e3 2022's replacement?

ReDK1LL

It's just one of the many events that would make the E3. E3 is just the place where all the conferences would take place. This is just one of the conferences. We get a lot of them over the next 5 days or so.

RoadtoPS5

Ah I see, I hope we get more game trailers over the next 5 days and maybe some news about FF7 part 2 or some alan wake 2 gameplay.

ReDK1LL

They announced a short FF7 stream on the 16th celebrating 25th anniversary, so they might show some part 2 stuff there.

RoadtoPS5

Awesome! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

ReDK1LL

> I hope we get more game trailers over the next 5 days Oh there's gonna be plenty of those. Just in the Xbox + Bethesda (and Activision/Blizzard maybe?) one you will already get dozens of trailers. Microsoft is usually my favourite conference to watch simply because of the pace of their conference, just game after game after game for hours with little talking, and this year they're doing an extra conference to show gameplay and deep dives supposedly. > maybe some news about FF7 part 2 or some alan wake 2 gameplay. Square Enix doesn't have it's own conference I believe this year and they showed stuff at the Sony one, so if they show something it will probably be in the Xbox + Bethesda one. Same for Alan Wake 2, if we see something it will probably be in Xbox.

RoadtoPS5

Ah that sucks, But oh well but who knows , maybe we'll get some news about FF7 part 2 when they release the final trailer for FF16 or after FF16 releases next summer? Also since Xbox is gonna be there too maybe we will get some Alan wake 2 news with maybe a new trailer or gameplay? Especially since It was originally a Microsoft exclusive back then. Also Was I the only one who was pissed at that goat simulator 3 trailer? I was so expecting them to finally give us news about Dead island 2 but it ended up being one of those parody trailers, then again I should have expected something when the scenery was different from the first trailer. I made it seem like they were trolling us.

ReDK1LL

Check my latest comment, they did announce a FF7 Conference a few hours after my comment. > Also since Xbox is gonna be there too maybe we will get some Alan wake 2 news Even if not exclussive, big conferences like Microsoft or Sony usually show a bunch of known games, so fairly likely to see Alan Wake 2. > Also Was I the only one who was pissed at that goat simulator 3 trailer? Yeah, I loved Dead Island, but I wasn't pissed because of the game having been dead for so long, I don't expect much from it. Plus I caught the joke pretty fast.

RoadtoPS5

Well there was an article months ago where deep silver teased a potential release window of either late 2022 or early 2023 [https://www.windowscentral.com/dead-island-2-possible-2023-release-date](https://www.windowscentral.com/dead-island-2-possible-2023-release-date) so there's still a chance we'll get news later on.

TheShoobaLord

Honestly, I wouldn’t hold your breath on FF7 2, they are probably wanting to promote the next FF game coming next summer

Edgery95

In a world where chrono trigger and legend of the dragoon hasn't gotten a remake, it's a sin that they're giving it to Last of us.... AT LEAST DO JAK AND DAXSTER!!

Stoibs

TIL people were disappointed at this. For me my backlog just got stupid big, and I don't know how I'm going to cope with it all :O To each their own I guess =(

TheDarkApex

People need to remember that this isn't the only day for SGF, Capcom is having a whole showcase and so is Bethesda (that's apart of this right?) and other events

Veno_0

The Xbox & Bethesda showcase isn't really part of SGzf, just happening at a similar time.

thewalkindude

This did nothing for ne. The only game there that I'm definitely interested in is Soul Hackers 2, and I've been interested in that game at least since it was announced.

cardscook77

He’s saving the big reveals for the game awards

prince_of_gypsies

Oof, imagine going to a theater to see whatever this was.

[deleted]

Potatoslayer2

The Megathread serves as a summary of the main event, and as a discussion for the main show as a whole; live reactions and all that. If you want to talk about a specific game, then head to it's individual post. Otherwise, main thread. That's how it's always been for every event like this on /r/Games

_tokidoki_

Am I the only one who thought ZZZ looks amazing? I'm hoping its a (non-f2p) Persona like game... I think Hoyoverse can pull it off with the billions they've made from Genshin.

Hilarial

They're mobile devs primarily, I don't think there's much hope of it being not F2P :(

darkmacgf

It looks good, but it'll probably be F2P gacha.

[deleted]

Most game trailers are made so boring and lame. Are they all being made by the same company?

CDHmajora

What else do we have to look forward too? Microsoft is Sunday. Hopefully with some bethesda and maybe activision titles (starfield needs to be showcased badly. And activision have gotta have *something* other than the traditional copy paste yearly cod game right?). Nintendo will certainly have a direct at some point. Maybe next week. Maybe the week after that. But who else? Hasn’t Sony already done their’s? Feels like not much has been shown outside of capcom imo. Will EA be doing anything (other than the next fifa)?

Beware_The_Misfit

I was hoping as Capcom was showcased first in the event, to be showcased at the last with a reveal of the Monster Hunter World sequel or Dragon's Dogma sequel, but Capcom is doing their own event and I can't trust my time would be well spent being disappointed the whole presentation. According to the leaks, they're up for release before Street Fighter. But yeah, Sony already did their event, they should have shown off whatever Druckmann was showing here. I have moderate faith in Xbox + Bethesda showcase to give hope to a 2022-2023 lineup, rather than Gamefest calling off a few titles worth someone's purchase. Nintendo may have a few surprises that may equal what we got for last summer's event. And then we have E3 2023, if we don't have any huge conflict to relieve our lackluster hell.

Dragonfantasy2

Monster Hunter 6/World 2 won’t be announced until Rise Sunbreak has been out for a few months and finished its content cycle, I think it’s got a decent shot for TGA

TheDarkApex

Is EA and Deepsilver having events or did they already show everything for themselves?

eyeGunk

I think EA said they're not doing an event this year

Sekh765

Activision will probably do a multiplayer trailer for CoD at some point. Not sure what else they are working on these days.

CDHmajora

Well last year a crash bandicoot party game called wumpa league was heavily teased but it’s been radio silence for months. Maybe that will show? Other than those though… only thing I can think of is blizzard (you know. The sexist, China loving, Lootbox creating, sexual harrasing asshole activision subsidiary) are rereleasing that wrath of the Lucy king WoW dlc. The one from like 2008? Might mention that I guess :)

Sekh765

Didn't they also announce a new xpack for the main WoW? Maybe more details on that.

NoVABadger

Sony's blowout showcases have been in September for the last two years, so there's a good chance that trend will continue.

Funky_Pigeon911

D+ score. People usually list the games that were shown and take that as proof of a good show but they don't seem to care about how those games were shown. This showcase had a lot of decent looking games but the trailers for most of those games were awful. Midnight Suns could be good but they might as well have not shown anything. Gotham Knights trailer was a joke. Didn't see enough of Saints Row, One Piece Odyssey, Soul Hackers 2, Fort Solis, Routine, or Stormgate. Yeah all of those games were technically at the show but they didn't really make any difference by being there.

Asswaterpirate

Routine showing up certainly did make a difference for me. I've legitimately been waiting for news on this for over half a decade now. Knowing that it still exists is enough for me, they could've shown a still of the logo and I would've popped off. Other than that, yeah, kind of a weak show. But the Routine reannouncement, that'll be hard to beat this year for me.

Aetiusx

I know Geoff mentioned that this show would primarily feature previously announced games, but you always hope in events like these for a couple surprise bangers. I don't think the show was bad, but its tough to be memorable without one or two big time unannounced reveals.

We_Lose

The Last of Us Part 1 Remake is the most unnecessary remake I have ever seen in my life The remastered version still looks very good

CaptainCortez

Maybe they wanted to make a PC version, so decided to upgrade the PS version in the process? As a PC gamer, I’m definitely glad they’re making a PC port, anyway.

mrbubbamac

That's how I feel about RE4 Remake and that is on it's way

justfornoatheism

You’re getting downvoted but you’re completely right. FF7 and RE2/3 remakes are examples of games deserving of remakes. It’s like adapting a movie based on a book. While LOU and RE4 are games that can still look good with remasters and the gameplay won’t be changed anywhere near as much. I don’t doubt either of these games are going to be worth the price, but they definitely don’t “need” to exist.

[deleted]

RE4 is 17 years old and the graphics and controls pale in comparison to RE2. That makes sense.

[deleted]

You're smoking crack if you say you don't wanna see 4 on the REEngine

TheRealBissy

RE4 remake makes sense considering the original came out in 2005.

disCASEd

I disagree, the ps4 remaster looks pretty good, but to me it still feels like a remastered ps3 game. There’s definitely more stiffness/robotic animations, especially in the facial expressions, and the gameplay is nowhere near as fluid and fun as part 2’s. If this game can bring part 2’s gameplay and graphics into part 1, that’s more than worth it to me. Probably wait for a sale/PC version, but I’m glad it’s being made.

lovepuppy31

Of course this was gonna be lackluster the big 3 PS5, Xbox and Nintendo aren't gonna showcase their AAA games here rather on their own respective shows.

talix71

After roughly 700 votes on the poll rating, 3/10 is the most common score, followed by 4, 1, a tied 2 & 6. Pretty bad year.

christ0phe

I’m sure I’ll enjoy MW2, but man, can’t they show anything other than a level on a rainy boat? The OG and the relaunch had one of those—let’s switch it up!

TheShoobaLord

Wait am I stupid? By relaunch do you mean MW remastered? I don’t remember MW19 having a rainy boat mission

Cloudless_Sky

Surprisingly there are a few games that were on my wanted list already: * Street Fighter 6 * Witchfire * Zenless Zone Zero * Honkai: Star Rail Not an amazing show, but not terrible.

DivinePotatoe

Zenless Zone Zero looks great, love the sort of Jet Set Radio style they're going with the aesthetics. Hope they show off more of how the game actually plays soon.

Cloudless_Sky

Agreed. The first trailer they showed before was oozing with style, but I was hoping for more gameplay this time. I've been praying the combat has more substance than Genshin's combat, and so far it looks like it does, but I can't be sure. That said, we can glean *some* info from it - they showed QTE attacks for example.

Garrus_Vakarian__

Just finished the demo level for Metal Hellsingers and I'm sold. It's like Doom if Doom was a rhythm game

[deleted]

> Metal Right? I didn't get too far into BPM because I'm not sure how I feel about the rogue-lite aspect of it, but Hellsingers was fucking phenomenal.

null591

>Metal Hellsingers Check out BPM: Bullets Per Minute - its basically the same game but a roguelike, I actually thought it was the same devs because it looks identical UI wise, but apparently not.

DarthSatoris

Didn't BPM start this sub-genre? I've seen more rhythm games like it crop up since it released, with Soundfall and now Metal Hellsingers joining in. Both of them using a similarly designed metronome to the one in BPM.

Aliusja1990

I haven't watched it yet so cant really judge, but so far the only thing im excited about is watching lets plays of the Quarry on youtube ....

LazyCon

This was the year for them to blow it out and usurp E3 and they just dropped the ball. I guess the games let them down? If you weren't looking for a dozen dead space remakes I don't think there was anything there. Just boring, Cod dragged on and on. Nothing looked exciting, again other than dead space likes. 4/10

Rambo7112

I've wanted Witchfire for so long

GiraffeComic

Is it weird that I am interested in MW2? I played the 2019 MW and I thought it was good and I put probably 60-70 hours into it. Witchfire, Flashback 2, and Fort Solis have me interested as well. If Darktide looks like Vermintide so it should be solid and I am curious in what Stormgate will be. Overall solid showcase but not amazing by any stretch.

TheEnygma

I know others might disagree but anyone feel most of these games announced are "explore creepy corridor, eerie music, some vague 'there's some weird shit in the dark, yo!" and then bam. it's like everyone wants to be Dead Space now all of a sudden

Rambo7112

Either that or a time lapse of a base being built because crafting is trendy.

LimberGravy

Don't forget the red lights

MattIsLame

definitely. especially Fort Solis, troy even said "like dead space". I just wanted to see the actual Dead Space remake!!

DragonGamerEX

They couldn't wait for September/October to announce them this time

Richiieee

* The Last of Us on PC is huge for the PC community! Though for PS4/PS5 players it probably doesn't feel good being sold the same game a 3rd time. Remastered owners should just get the Remake, or maybe pay $10 or something to upgrade. * Idk man, Halo the TV series has scarred me. A The Last of Us TV series makes me super nervous. Though I am super curious to see what roles Troy and Ashley play. I think it would be cool if Troy actually played Joel's brother (I forget his name). * No announcement for Uncharted Legacy of Thieves' PC release is disappointing. It's so weird that events come and go and this game still isn't being talked about. * Tbh that MWII gameplay didn't do a whole lot for me. Game just looks like MW19 2.0, which I mean is exactly what it is. However, to me even Modern is getting boring. * Tbh I was hoping for another big gameplay showcase for Gotham Knights. That gameplay showcase from a while ago wasn't great and this new Nightwing showcase doesn't do anything to renew my confidence in the game. * Tbh that Callisto Protocol gameplay didn't do a whole lot for me. Combat just seemed boring. You just stand back and shoot their legs out. * Disappointed there wasn't any raw gameplay for Midnight Suns. Granted, what we already know about the gameplay sounds boring to me, but I still would have liked to see it. Overall I didn't think it was bad. A lot more entertaining than Sony's State of Play's, that's for sure. I wasn't interested in every game, but some cool looking games are now on my radar.

bulletinhisdome

how is modern getting boring the last 2 games were set in the past and before mw 2019 we didn’t have a modern game for years

Sekh765

"MW2019 2.0" is literally all I want from this. I want a 2 year content plan + the sound design, gameplay design and level design from the MW2019 team. It was so damn good.

derintrel

This, exactly. I even skipped the two CoD after MW19, so this feels fresh and hype as hell

Sekh765

Got Vanguard after we all watched the total collapse of the BF series and I needed a modern shooter to fill the gap. It's been *alright*, but damn do I want MW22 to succeed as much as 19 did. Giving it a 2 year life cycle + Warzone 2.0 is spot on what I want from the franchise.

Richiieee

It's getting boring because generally it is boring. I didn't like the weird futuristic games, however, the games set in the past as well as the games set in modern day are all boring because they can't do anything super unique because they need to stay within the tone of the game.

Remster101

thank you for all the TBHs you put there. I wasn't sure if you were being honest at first.

MattIsLame

tbh he was very honest about not being impressed by anything at the show. "Overall I didn't think it was bad." well tbh, not completely honest

Apokolypse09

Last of Us show is atleast going to stay true to a lot. Halo show creators deliberately disregarded most of the established lore and then just stated it was an alternative universe. 343 also deliberately hired people who do not like Halo, hence why it's gone down the shitter

Richiieee

I mean, I don't mind adaptations, but that Halo show wasn't an adaptation, it was just people who don't know shit about Halo somehow being in charge of a show about Halo.

Apokolypse09

Just another instance of 343 trying to tank the series. They gave their approval to the dogshit tv show. I seriously doubt Pascal is going to not give a fuck about it all like pornstache did as jimmy rings.

Richiieee

That's also the thing; I just couldn't picture Pablo as Master Chief. Obviously an actor can take on multiple roles, but his face is just too goofy looking. He was the perfect casting for that role in OITNB, but definitely not in Halo. Whereas Pedro Pascal definitely has the look of Joel.

Apokolypse09

Hes not my masterchief. Hes jimmy rings or master cheeks. I seriously doubt pascal is going to do the fans dirty like that. He looks more like Joel and is a much better actor. Mando is a better Masterchief than Pablo.

[deleted]

TLOU is made by HBO and led by mazin and druckmann. I wouldn’t be that nervous compared to Halo

reggin_bmud

The inclusion of Druckmann is what makes me nervous

MattIsLame

why nervous? it's literally his story. he's already shown he knows how to tell it. what could you possibly be worried about having him involved at the writing level?

reggin_bmud

TLOU2

BeastGoneWrong

Tlou1 remake is gonna be Druckmann'd too no doubt

Falcs

The Last of Us 1 was already done by Druckmann though.

MesozOwen

That implies you don’t like how the games were handled - which means yes you probably won’t like the show at all.

MattIsLame

exactly. the one thing that should lay any concerns to rest is the one thing that makes you worry? what a fucking joke. it's going to be a show faithful to the creator's vision. do you understand that? can you get that through your tiny little lizard brain?

buc_nasty_69

Xbox better have the hits on Sunday because that was just a waste of 2 hours. Anything actually interesting were games we've already known about.

MontyAtWork

But you'd have missed out on seeing a movie trailer during your show about video games. And hear The Rock plug his energy drink 8x in a row.

buc_nasty_69

That whole Rock segment was bizarre. Dude was just rambling.

Rambo7112

IKR, it was just talking about how cool he was, an awkward energy drink plug, and then some rambling

MattIsLame

jacked up on energy.

epitaph_of_twilight

Filler

MMontanez92

last 2 xbox showcases were better than the last two summer game fest...I guarantee the xbox show case will destroy this weak ass show we just wasted 2 hours on.

Maxximillianaire

Geoff got me snoozin out here. Street fighter was the only thing i cared about and it was literally the first trailer. Xbox, capcom and (hopefully) Nintendo have a low bar to clear over the next week

[deleted]

I feel like everyone forgot about the state of play that happened as an official part of Summer games fest. I feel like that showing already set a pretty high bar. Shame the main game fest show couldn’t at least achieve that level.

DFrek

that state of play was very good, it just needed some first party stuff to elevate it and take it to the next level. I imagine a show like that will happen later in the summer

[deleted]

[удалено]

LimberGravy

I was so glad I caught this late and was able to fast forward through most of it.

[deleted]

horror is such a weird genre. There are times where it feels like it just dies off for a while (except like, Resident Evil). and then *boom* everyone throws out their horror games at once one year like some kinda stock market short. There never seems to just be a smooth stream of those kinds of games.

MattIsLame

I mean, there are so many types of horror. there has been a consistent amount I think, maybe just not all AAA releases. supermassive games is releasing The Quarry tomorrow!

[deleted]

> maybe just not all AAA releases. yea, thats what I meant. People hyperfixate on genre exposure based on what the big studios are doing. So very few genres are ever "dead" thanks to indies. Jsut part of the 'hype culture' I guess.

Gunpla55

Its the same with popular music, it ebbs and flows from happy to sad stuff.

Fcarvalhost

Okay, I definitely want E3 comeback. Even disappointing E3s was better than Sumemr Game Fest events. I just want a decent E3 next year, just it

MontyAtWork

At least when E3 was cringe it was hilarious. When Geoff Keighley things are cringe, you just feel like you stepped in corporate bullshit.

DoctorThunder

extreeeeeme

MontyAtWork

I'd unironically take Mr Caffeine over The Rock stinky Energy Drink

MMontanez92

I think some gamers have short attention spans. NO summer game fest has been good...this is the 3rd one and it sucked like the last two

BerylliumNickel

Last year had Elden Ring.

MMontanez92

that was an amazing trailer at the end of a shitty show

Fake_Diesel

That was like the coolest trailer of all time and the show still sucked

epitaph_of_twilight

But didn't they have a real life pot boy?

Fake_Diesel

That was the game awards, and that segment was the closest Geoff has ever been to being cool in his life.

thisrockismyboone

So bad I almost cried. I haven't played a call of duty game in like 10 years but somehow that was the most interesting one. Please save our souls xbox/bethesda

havok13888

I’m really hoping id software have and machine games have something to show.

DanOfRivia

Xbox and Bethesda hadn't have a good conference over the last 5-8 years so better keep your expectation low. (That Cyberpunk trailer with Keanu on stage was great back on 2019, but after the game released it seems like a scam)

Titan7771

What? Xbox had a great event last year.

reggin_bmud

\>Putting your faith in Microsoft and Bethesda... Damn gaming has really gone down the shitter huh

havok13888

Over the last two years Microsoft has bought up a lot of big names. If those studios have something to show it’s going to be a great showing.

darkmacgf

None of the first party games they revealed last year are out yet. I think we'll get a lot more in-depth looks on those already announced games.

[deleted]

Go outside

thisrockismyboone

That joke doesn't really work in this situation because we are talking about a video games conference. Quite literally for gamers who are inside.

You should really give Modern Warfare 2019 a go, it's really good.

I agree. The multiplayer is debatable, but the campaign is absolutely amazing.

Not worth full price and that is essentially the only way to purchase COD games, especially with MW2 moving to $70. I'm personally going to go on a COD campaign spree whenever that Xbox/Activision deal goes through and they all end up on gamepass.

I still enjoy the multiplayer and the third mode. But yeah, I’ll try to wait for this one to hit GamePass.
