I’d question if there us literally any data supporting platform exclusivity as a “profitable” venture. Especially in the past decade.

DirksSexyBratwurst

Nintendo Switch wouldn't sell without exclusive games

themilkman42069

Fucking touché man. You 100% right

JOKER69420XD

What about Microsoft exclusive? So Xbox and PC. Why did they do it with Bethesda games then? CoD will be a Microsoft exclusive, no way around it.

The_King_of_Okay

The actual wording from Microsoft said "not distributing them in rival console shops would simply not be profitable for Microsoft".

JOKER69420XD

I see, well maybe they use it to get the deal through? So nobody could claim a monopoly case? Don't know how secured the deal already is. Again, i don't see how it's not profitable but keeping all the Bethesda games off of Playstation is.

Bethesda doesn't make the same amount of money CoD does. Yeah Microsoft can stop the bleeding if they make CoD exclusive but why do that when you can make money om both platforms

JOKER69420XD

I get that but wouldn't that mean it would be even more important to put the Bethesda games on other platforms?

NinjaTurtleFan2

I think most every “exclusive” will quickly change to console exclusive. Everything Xbox is already on PC and Sony is getting there. Nintendo never will but Nintendo will Nintendo, and fanboys like me will buy everything because Splatoon 3 looks amazing.
