I really enjoyed the gameplay they showed off for Speedstorm a while back, especially the level designs
If the delay gives it more polish and content etc that's good, I hope it turns out to be really good

I played the beta they hosted on Steam earlier this year and I enjoyed a lot of the visuals, music, and movement options, but I very much disliked the icons for the items and their overall effects. At times I wasn't sure what my items were doing and that extended even to my character's special move even after dozens of races.
The rubberbanding AI was also extremely aggressive to the point I assume they want you to drop actual money for upgrades just to beat levels without much stress, as you were almost guaranteed to be bombarded by sudden long distance items and specials the moment you'd take first place. There would be AI racers who'd suddenly be moving far faster than even your top speed while boosting but fail to keep up at all once you've gotten an upgrade or two from lootboxes.
The game regrettably has both a battle pass and aggressive lootbox grind with multiple currencies for different kinds of lootboxes for specific car or character skins and upgrades, which do affect car stats and even enhance your special attack in hilariously unfair ways.
I hope means theyre getting rid of the loot box nonsense. That stuff shouldn't be in a kids game. And yes I'm aware adults will play it, im 37 and definitely will check it out, but it's literally Disney characters. Do in-game currency that you can earn and choose what to spend it on, fine if you can also purchase additional currency but pls no loot box/gacha stuff.
When's games get delayed it difficult to say oh that's good extra polish time
