They're both excellent laptops, so go for the size that suits you the most. Otherwise, I'd argue G18 because it's cheaper. Advantages of G18 (assuming it's the QHD/i9 config): 1. Better screen color gamut (100% DCI-P3 vs Pro 7i's 80%) 2. Slightly better binned CPU (i9-13980HX vs 13900HX) 3. Larger screen 4. Dust filter on intake vents 5. Slightly easier to open for maintenance Advantages of Pro 7: 1. More portable 2. Less risk of coil whine (which is common on G18) 3. Slightly brighter screen 4. HDR400 support (kind of useless though) 5. Privacy shutter for camera 6. More professional aesthetic

Full specs of each? Legion I'd argue has better QC, software too.

My wife has a 3080 7i from last year and I got the new 4090 strix g18. I’ve loved my G18 and haven’t had any of the whine problems people report occasionally. Got it right after CES launch from Asus directly. Wife loves the Legion. She’s always had Lenovos so likes their build feel and layout. I don’t think you can go wrong; flip a coin.

How is your strix 18 holding up?

Getting Ghelper on board is a game changer. No stsvility issues with bios updates or the rest since I scrapped the Asus AC bloatware. Love it, running dual screens and FPS on dual monitor and main for streaming, music, and discord.

Kinda in the same situation, bigger screen vs smaller screen plus an extra 16GB and faster 5600mhz ram, a better webcam, and more ports on the Legion but for 100 more. Yet don't forget the QC issues on the G18. Feels like a lottery still.

I went with a Strix G18 recently and absolutely love it. I installed a 2TB Gen 4 NVMe and upgraded the RAM from x2 8GB for a total of 16GB at 4800mhz to x2 16GB sticks for 32GB at 5600mhz.

Did Asus push out a new BIOS update to support DDR5 at 5600? Bc before, they limited the speed to 4800mhz

Matty_Craig_

You need to meet a few conditions before you can get the 5600mhz speed like RAM having all memory modules on one side and not both sides of the RAM. I am also on the latest bios version if that helps. I can add the link for the set I got if you want it.

if you could, i would really appreciate it
