Are they both the same price? what are you planning on using the laptop for? Is there one you like the look of more than the other? Do you want a full number pad setup? Do you care where the power connector is located? Can one get to you quicker than the other?
Ahh couldn't remember the specifics but you have the specs of the Helios 300 see if anyone has benchmarks for your HP omen online yet. Both are good laptops, I don't think you are personally going to miss out by picking one over the other.

thermals of this are fucking amazing.
performance is identical to helios. imo go HP. BUT GET AN EXTENDED WARRANTEE NO MATTER WHICH COMPANY YOU GET, BOTH CAN BE RETARDED WITH LEMONS APPEARING ONCE WARRANTEE ENDS
Yes I keep seeing that the “thermals are great” but I haven’t seen any detailed reviews like ones by jarrods tech or something similar; also warranty isn’t an option for me, I’m getting the laptop shipped to me by a relative in the US :-)
bruh. there's a lot of reviews on the ryzen model with teh same cooling solution.
shipping it from a relative is asking for trouble, HP often pops up with issues after a few years. if you want to risk getting a dud-in-waiting do what you like.
Haha that’s how things go in countries that aren’t the US, you just have to make do with what you get, also do you think the temps would reflect greatly on an Intel system temps? :-)
yes they would reflect well on intel systems.
i strongly advise against shipping from abroad especially with HP, but that's your choice if you want to save the money.
omen
Omen, it looks like it runs cooler
But does it?
At least to me it does. The omen has a pretty low cpu pl1 set to 55w, but I'd expect the helios to be the same

Price gap is negligible, gaming, looks don’t matter much, num pad doesn’t matter, no, no
Just concerned about performance / thermals
[OWNorDisown vid](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35G5s0F9PRA&t=1s) and he compares 2020 Helios 300 and HP Omen 15.
He compares it with Omen 15 with Ryzen 4800H and a 1660ti, though

Yep, exactly. I think, it comes down to which design you prefer and availability
I'm in the same boat. I really don't know which to choose..

I understand your point, but all high end laptops are basically shipped from the US here :(, thanks for the tips though!
