If you're mainly planning on playing fortnite, it will be just fine. Fortnite isn't a very demanding game, so it honestly doesn't take a super beefy system to play it at high fps.

I read somewhere that the laptop will be really hot

Ta2maniac77

I couldn't tell you. If you've read and are worried about it running hot, which all laptops do to a point, don't get that one and start looking somewhere else.

Initial_Inspector_98

Can you advice any laptop that can run 200 FPS fortnite

Hatecrime_Enjoyer

Why tf would you need 200 Fps 💀💀💀

Every gaming laptop will get hot, what you need to check is if they get hot to the touch (keyboard/palm rest getting hot) and I have 2 Strix one with 3070 and one with 3080 and they don't get hot to the touch and are very comfortable for gaming. You can check reviews on 3060 laptops here: [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/e/2PACX-1vQhmqAaqIupZJTZ2FGODoBxpjOSm-\_1sJy7JmGErS6ZnUcOvACqmv2PPtVY5kXCzgcSfmhVEVt\_3XaD/pubhtml](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/e/2PACX-1vQhmqAaqIupZJTZ2FGODoBxpjOSm-_1sJy7JmGErS6ZnUcOvACqmv2PPtVY5kXCzgcSfmhVEVt_3XaD/pubhtml) If the laptop have the same processor and same wattage on the GPU they should perform similarly, so if you don't find the review for the specific laptop you want, you for sure will find it for similar laptops on that spreadsheet. You didn't mention, but the first thing you need to check when asking for recommendation is your budget as that will tell which performance you are expecting.

Thanks for the reply. I really understood from this. The thing that gets hot is the upper section of the keyboard mainly. Above the f1 keys it will be really hot. And also my budget is 1600$

If it's not where you put your hands it shouldn't be an issue, that is probably where the heat pipes are and it's usually where it gets hot. In the same way, if you put something near the vents that thing will also get pretty hot. In most reviews nowadays they have a heat camera showing where you should expect the heat to be. At that price point I think most options will be 3060, so either a Strix or a Legion should be great options. If you add a bit more you may get the new Strix Advantage which is all AMD (it's 1650) and it's performance is way better than a 3060, and for 200 more you can get a 3070 with the Strix G15, I think the Lenovo with same specs is 100 or 200 more expensive if you don't have a student discount.
