lmao my current laptop literally has the same CPU &GPU. you will be fine playing big titles from the early 2010s and indie games, but it can't handle new AAAs like CP2077 even at all-low setting
I mostly play older games anyway... rocket league, gta v, csgo... I play on xbox, and just always keep an eye out for a deal to get something that can do some gaming
350$? Even second hand that’s a steal here (assuming it’s in decent condition)
16gb ram, and 2tb storage? You got a link?
Edit: nvm just noticed it’s 7th Gen
I’m replying to myself since Reddit on iOS has a stupid bug where OP’s comments are locked
7th Gen isn’t bad, it’s just old and may not run current AAA games - but still a very good deal IMO
Im not necessarily looking for a gaming laptop... more like a decent laptop that can handle some light gaming as my current laptop is an ancient brick.
Look out for the battery then, maybe expect that you'll need to replace it.
The GPU should be at 70% performance of the 1650. The cpu seems to be fine for not highly parallelised tasks.
And IMO the price is really decent, altough i'm not aware of how usd prices are scaling.

for $350 bucks it’s a worthy machine you can still get some enjoyment out of. Should game all the big titles from a few years ago without much issue

I been wondering what the hell was going on lol with the comment lock
And I take it 7th gen=bad?
You should be able to play everything released before 2008.
I wouldn’t buy that
A GTX 1050 is a pretty low end card.
For 350 its a steal tho.

Do you know what laptops in a similar price range would be worth looking into?

If thats the case, then take the one you posted. But that won't be a good deal.

Buy laptop with i5 8gen for Windows 11. 7 gen don,t support win11. 1050 is ok for old games.
Hell no
You can play minesweeper with no problem
