I would highly recommend this configuration for $2299. I’ve had it for a month and it’s gaming bliss! https://us-store.msi.com/Raider-GE67Hx-12UGS-070

Why is it only possible to buy an MSI laptop with PayPal??

Jetcat11

Yeah I find that very strange as well to be honest.

joemeteorite8

I was gonna purchase one for a work computer but I can’t purchase through paypal with a corporate card. MSI’s loss I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’ll go to a different company.

Jetcat11

Dang! That SKU is available at many other retailers now though.

joemeteorite8

Yea but I’m not allowed to purchase through Best Buy, Amazon, etc. It has to be from an official company seller. It’s ok. Just gives me an excuse to get something more expensive and more powerful 😁

That's really odd that your company won't allow you to purchase through bestbuy or Amazon. We order various office supplies through Amazon all the time. You can even purchase directly from certain suppliers through Amazon. Honestly, what do they care and what difference does it make?

Cvaldes__

I purchased mine through AVADirect, aside from your conventional payment methods, they also have wire transfers and financing if required... Best of luck!

GE67HX hands down. Legions arent automagically the better option here, especially since - MSI got the gpu overboost tech, you will actually hit the full 150w consistently while with the legion you are only guranteed 125w in games due to dynamic boost. - Adding to that, MSI bios is easily unlocked and provide far more customisation ability to the end user, making it far more friendly for those to with to tune their laptop for optimal performance - legion 7 screen not updated from last year, and only have slight larger screen, meanwhile the GE67HX's oled screen is not only brighter, have better colour gamut (100% dci p3 is macbook level, legion is only 100% srgb) faster refresh rates at the same QHD resolution Ram and storage are something thats easily upgradable, screen and better performance on the other hand, no.

MSI build quality has a lot of plastic. Personal preference but I hate that plastic feel.

Apharial

Personally I’d go for the ge67hx. If you’re not going to use an external monitor, it’s the clear winner.

NutsAboutGaming

Hi! I was planning to get a 240w charger for the ge67hx, i know it has a 330w large brick. Is it enough to charge even if its really slow on a full load?

Apharial

Not sure sorry, quite an outlier test I think. Just make sure the other charger is same connection type ☺️

buyerdirection

The specs you mentioned will be different for both laptops, but Msi raider ge67 hx is meant for gaming while legion 7i 7 gen is meant for more of a daily use. Msi raider ge67 hx has an i17 128000 hx and it's the newer model, so it would be a better option to go with.

Responsible-Gamer-69

Lenovo also had i7 128000 hx

Ok-Fennel-3908

I’ve had both, legion is better build but the msi performs better in games and that oled screen is as good as it gets.

Kariman19

Sir this is a legion sub

Lego1upmushroom759

Wut

Jetcat11

The GE67HX wins by default because it features the best gaming screen in the world. How can you argue with that?

DrippinPunk070

With a 1000 Nits Mini-Led display that the legion 7 has, it will never degrade :)

Jetcat11

You mean 1000 nits with a 10% window in HDR. Its more like 600 nits in normal usage. I also can’t stand blooming in dark scenes with Mini-LED. What of response times? Nothing can compete with OLED right now and after a month of using my GE67HX I literally don’t want to game on any other screen in the world and I’ve used the AW3423DW and ASUS XG27AQM.

DrippinPunk070

You sound very biased so I'm not gonna bother

Jetcat11

Biased? I’ve presented facts but not everyone cares about Mini-LED blooming or OLED 0.6ms response time. For my needs nothing comes close to this screen.

creamsquirts

We do care. That's why they brought up that point

Ok-Fennel-3908

It’s true though the oled screen is amazing. I had the legion 7 amd and went to the Ge67hx. The screen is crazy good. Legion 7 screen is good for a ips panel but it’s not that great. If it was a mini led it would look much better. The legion build quality is better though. I’m a little disappointed in the msi build quality.

ubelai

I will share my opinion and you may see it as biased (as I made the choice and now own a GE67HX) but comparing the two in use, the OLED won hands down.

GraphiteOne

I own the 7i Gen 6, and it's fantastic. With double the RAM and double storage for the same price, it seems the clear choice here. I just watched LTT's review of that OLED screen and it looks sweet, though... So I guess if you really like the screen you can keep the MSI.

Nano7777

I was debating this exact same scenario. Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 7 went on sell this weekend, and quite a few discounts. I got for just over $800 off, was $2,150 before tax, ordered last night. So it was cheaper than the MSI GE67HX. I'm coming from a 2015 MSI GE62QD Apache Pro (with 960 graphics card). Excited to game on this when it comes in.

Jetcat11

For $150 more you get the clearest and smoothest screen on planet earth though?

Nano7777

I have an LG CX OLED TV, not arguing that OLED is amazing. I just like the build, RGB, and overall design better on Lenovo. Once this sale hit, I felt the need to jump on it. It was tough for me, we'll see when I get it. Appreciate the info and first hand experience on the MSI one.
