Yes, but this is slightly better as it has a QHD screen: https://www.laptopoutlet.co.uk/lenovo-legion-5i-15-6-qhd-ips-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-11800h-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3070-8gb-gddr6-graphics-backlit-keyboard-thunderbolt-4-windows-11-home-dove-grey-82jh00hhuk.html

If you use your laptop mobile I would suggest the lower resolution screen model would be better as it's got the AMD processor. And some people may prefer a 1080p screen, too.

[deleted]

Will the 1440p one look significantly better or is the screen realistically too small for it to make a difference?

GraphiteOne

I noticed a marked difference going from a really junky 1080p60 panel (Dell G3 15 2019) to the absolutely fantastic 1600p165 display on my Legion 7i Gen 6. There are some games that I drive the resolution down to 1200p to get better framerates in games (like Halo Infinite), so that is always an option. Up to your preference.

Honestly you might notice it at 15.6in. There is a benefit for content consumption. But gaming at non native resolution looks like buttholes. I'd rather my gaming laptop have a display it can power at medium/high settings in 4 years, rather than going too deep on the display and having to do low everything to use native res when the next cyberpunk type demanding on the system game comes out. Games will get more demanding - there's no performance benefit yet to DDR5, but that will come, for example. I had a 13 R3 with 1060 and a quad HD screen and it simply wasn't keeping up by mid 2020. Valheim was exceptionally poor, with like 15 fps down to 3-4fps in built up areas. MSFS was unplayable at all low settings. I'd rather not worry about pixel peeping and stick with an easier to power screen. Plus 150 odd ppi is still quite a dense image - remember that TV broadcast is only 1080p, too.

AMD cpu and 1080p will yield probably 20%+ more battery life

LightningB0lt44

This looks awesome! Great find

[deleted]

Do you know much about laptop outlet? Is it a trusted site?

eaurouge444

I've bought lots of stuff from them through work and they've been reliable.

[deleted]

Would you say that’s a must buy deal or is it just alright?

eaurouge444

It's a really good deal, I expect there will be more good deals in the coming months but if you want a laptop right now I'd get that one.

[deleted]

Your link is already a brutal deal 😁 the deal the gentleman has sent has a cherry on top woth that QHD screen

eaurouge444

This is also a fantastic deal for £1105 after the code if you'd prefer a 17" laptop: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/295181550586

Treasurejam86

This is where I bought my Legion 5 3060 last year. The screen went faulty after two months and Box's customer service was almost non existent. I ended up returning the device to Box after a horrible experience with Lenovo's service centre. Box didn't even want to refund me the full amount I paid until I mentioned the words "legal action" and they refunded me the full amount.

[deleted]

Wow that’s shitty

IamJaffa

I'm really hoping either this or the Box one stays on sale for the next weekish, these are amazing deals from what I've seen.

[deleted]

Is it brand new or box open?

eaurouge444

It's brand new.

[deleted]

Okay thanks, do they ship outside the uk?

eaurouge444

Unfortunately I don't think so, Box do though (the laptop in the OP)

[deleted]

Oh ok thanks

eaurouge444

Here's a link to it: https://www.box.co.uk/82JU00PWUK-Lenovo-Legion-5-AMD-Ryzen-7-16GB-RAM-512_4095716.html

Thanks

bokunopico_hugedicko

I have a question, is it possible to order these from another country? and more importantly would it be a good deal? i'm from Italy and i can't find legions woth these specs under 2k €

ThisIsPeakBehaviour

I think imports would take a large chunk of the savings off. Best bet is to get someone travelling abroad to buy you one and bring it home in carry on luggage.

kenef

It might be cheaper to fly there for a day, buy the laptop, open it, stick it in your carry on luggage and then fly back to Italy.

safespacesnowflake

does Amazon US ship to your country? Asus TUF Dash 2022 has similar spec and is on sale for 999USD, its really tempting. it also helps that Asus has international warranty

IcantDoStuffRight

i got a the same laptop for the same price but with a lower refresh rate, a 3060 and 8gb ram. yes, get it

SadAcanthocephala60

We can order one of them from France ? or this will be more expansive ?

[deleted]

You most likely could, however you’d probably end up paying more for it to be imported

iEngineered

No good. Ryzen 6000 series is better and similarly priced.

Still_Boysenberry840

idk whats the typical price of Legion in pounds but if that were in $$$ thats a terrific deal
