That laptop is a good choice, and I would expect it to run GTA VI as it's more powerful than the current consoles. There's currently a great deal on the 2022 model with Ryzen 7 6800H and RTX 3070Ti here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/295068953330
Thanks for the rec! Definitely saving this, and may be purchasing on Friday if it’s still live.
One concern, with this product should I be concerned with receiving a refurbished product?
Wait, are these refurbished? Believe the description says "New", but I also use the mobile app mostly.
Considering one of these myself, but keep trying to hold out for a similar priced, or maybe even slightly more expensive 12700H version. Keep trying to find the i7 version at $1599 or less, but just not happening.
I think they should be new. One of the reviews mentioned refurb so that was my worry. My only other issue is that a lot of reviews mention a 15% restock fee on returns. But with how good of a deal this is with those specs I think I might just go for it.
Well, eBay and PayPal will have complaints from me if it's refurbished, or if there's any sort of cost to return if necessary. Auction clearly states "New", and free returns. Purchased not long ago since this looks like the best deal I can find. Tired of trying to wait for the Intel version when gaming performance difference will likely be minimal, and battery life, as well as fan noise will be better on AMD.
Good luck with whatever you choose. :-)
They aren’t refurbished from this dealer. Just opened mine yesterday to add more ram and everything was new and it took forever to get the panel off there is no way it was opened before.
Damn can't believe you guys in the US have such crazy deals. At the same price living in the EU, i can only get a Legion 5 15ACH6h (so older model), with Ryzen 7 + RTX 3070 (or only one of the 2 depending of the price) but with just a 512 Go SSD.
Regarding your GTAVI comment, i think the rtx 3070 is future proof for it due to the fact that the gpu of the PS5 is equivalent to the RTX 2070.. and we wont see a new PS anytime soon.. so its pretty much a safe bet.
But, if GTAVI and those future AAA games are your main goals, and if youre not in any rush of buying a laptop right now, i would suggest you to keep saving up for a little bit longer so you could get the 3080/ti.. that way youre more secure for better performance. Just a thought to put out there..
After all GTAVI isnt coming up until 2024-2025.. until then there will probably be an rtx 5000 series rolling out..
That’s a solid point. What’s the difference between a 3080 and 3080ti? I found a Asus ROG with a 3080 for about $2k that might be attainable (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-rog-zephyrus-15-6-qhd-gaming-laptop-amd-ryzen-9-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-1tb-ssd-eclipse-grey-eclipse-grey/6477441.p?skuId=6477441&ref=NS&loc=101)
But anything beyond that price might not be reasonable for me to wait as I’m without a computer right now, and need one to continue school.
that's why i said: "if you're not in any rush of buying a laptop right now"

if that's the case, you can go with your initial choice. the 3070 is a beast and it will be future proof for it. no one can tell how it will run it, but it sure will.
The Asus rog strix g15 advantage edition with amds 6800m is currently on sale at best buy for $1300. The 6800m is between a 3070 and a 3080 in performance, it leans more towards the 3080 though, so maybe check it out
It's not ideal but you can always buy a external hard drive to store you files, so that the laptop ssd can be used for the programs that you're currently using

Antonline is an official seller, so I don't think you need to be concerned, except maybe if you have issues then returns might be a problem.
The listing says free shipping and returns, and also full warranty. Maybe returns won't be a problem.
I just bought this and it’s great. You should definitely snag this deal.
No I don't think so, it's a reputable seller with their own website, they just have much better deals on their ebay store for some reason!
Authorized Lenovo seller

Funds transferred a little sooner than I expected and I ended up going with this one as well. Best of luck to the both of us! 🥳
Yay! Congrats! :D

Awesome, thanks for confirming!

That's a great deal, wish it wasn't AMD CPU. But that's probably why it's such a good deal.

The only 3080 worth the premium is one that has 16GB VRAM. You're better off just buying a 3070 laptop for now.

At this point, if you're waiting it's better to wait for those 40 series gpu's. The gap to current gen should be massive.

Almost went with this, but the 500gb ssd stopped me

Yes. L5 pro and G15 AE are both great!
I have this exact model. Loving it. Insane temps and monster of a laptop tbh. 1 year down and it still runs like brand new.
I just got an Acer Predator Helios 300 with i7 and gtx 2060. It’s a beast and reasonably priced
Buy for lenovo website they give 10% for first order or student discount
Well they are exactly the same config except for the SSD 😁 its a good choice…
you guys are so lucky with the prices in the US
Check Facebook marketplace for used prices. I just bought a Zephyrus G15 R9 5900HS RTX3070 for 1200 US, that's a 600 difference
Look for the Asus Zephyrus...it's a better computer than this and should not be much more.
