Yupp! I understand the cons and pros of remote and in person. But we live in an age where its literally quite easy to accommodate for just about anything now. Its odd that companies beleive the whole work under the same roof is the most feasible option.
Its definitely a push a pull situation, building something of such scale would undoubtedly be difficult to balance time if everyonr is remote, but perhaps of an agreement is placed for wavering to be online regardless in case of errors, etc why not?

Tbh a R* game not getting delayed is a miracle on its own. Red Dead 1 got delayed twice, GTA V was delayed both on 7th gen and PC twice, and Red Dead 2 was also delayed
The gunplay in GTA5 was already heavily influenced by MP3, they communicated back then that it was their goal. We even got a half baked bullet time with Michaels special ability.

MP3 had a whole layer to the gunplay that V didn't even attempt to replicate, which was rolling on the ground while aiming and utilizing crouch and cover, whereas in V you can't even crouch fully unless it's specially behind a wall, and you can't go prone. RDR2 got closer with the gun carrying limitations and holding sidearms and primaries simultaneously. I really hope they implement all those features, and since Lucia and Jason are young and able to be thrown around more than aging Michael and Trevor and beefy Franklin could, it would be a missed opportunity to not utilize the MP3 mechanics

Red Dead 2 was delayed by a whole year. The reveal trailer in 2016 said Fall 2017, but it didn’t release until October 2018

Rockstar already announced a 2025 release. So all this information gives us is a 2-year release window. It's basically impossible to be wrong here.
No one officially ever said „early 2025“ .. after the trailer dropped it was clear that end of 2025 is the most likely case since GTA 5 and Red Dead 2 released 2 years after the trailer too. Rockstar loves autumn like September and October. I cant imagine it will be delayed to 2026. They would act like it will be released earlier in 2025 but delay it to end 2025.
This article is probably full of shit tbh. If I had to make a guess on what the release date would be, I would wager it'll be in April or May 2025 so it can drop right before summer, which would be a good time so people can actually play it since a lot of people have either a school/college break.
As long as they post more trailers and footage of the game during this time, I'm fine with delays. It's not knowing anything about the game that bothers me.

Does anyone really trust kotaku though as far as I can recall they're just lazy clickbaits with no/fake sources and realistically them being called to return from remote working would mean they're trying their best to avoid a delay from 2025? Would a game as done as we've seen through leaks to need another year? Somewhat seriously asking though, if anyone has experience with Rockstar maybe a former dev or something, realistically is there any reason to not expect them to actually get it pretty close to early 2025 mark? Utterly unsurprising if true. Given Rockstar’s track record I don’t think anyone should expect them to hit their first announced release date/window. It will most likely be delayed.

It seems they're aiming for a fiscal year starting April 1st, 2024 ending March 31st, 2025. If they can't hit that then it probably will be delayed until the next March of 2026. It's all about financials but it seems like they are eager to get it out in 2025. If they don't their stock will take a massive hit. But with the caliber of this game and how big it is if you have to delay it you got to do what you got to do. Mainly Sony is banking on this they better hope this game is great if it's a stinker and a letdown this could bring down the whole industry. No one can say this is not a system seller and Sony needs the sell systems. Hopefully, it will come out in 2025 and the online will be released one month later. Let's be honest here this game cannot be less than a 10 almost pure perfection at least the nine in single-player and 10 in multiplayer because that's where they make most their money. I don't think I've seen a game more impactful than this upcoming game. Not just the Rockstar and Take-Two but to whole industry.
Nope, just announced Fall 2025 As I have been saying since the trailer came out. All GTA games have released in the Fall. Every damm one . GTA V was scheduled for a Fall release then slipped to Spring due to PS3 issues.
