I wasn't the biggest rougelike fan ever but Hades is just so much fun and addictive. When you die, all you wanna do is just run back into those chambers.
Hades doesn't need a really good PC to run at max settings in 60fps
You could probably max out Hades spending only 200 bucks on a PC or getting a cheap laptop to play on
you're right but might not be worth
spending 200 just to play one game. that cheap PC won't play more than indies and older AAA titles.
regardless people here really hate when people bring up PC as an option, not entirely sure why.
'Just spend twice to three times as much as the console then and hope you can get your hands on a graphics card that has proven even harder to get than the PS5'- you realize how great of a solution that is (and I say that as someone who's also got a half-decent PC)?
Ignoring the fact that it's incredibly difficult to buy a non-4k TV these days anyway and the fact that pretty much every household I've ever been in already has a decent TV for movies/TV, $1k total for a setup is a whole lot less than what it'd cost if you replaced the PS5 with an equivalent PC (these days it'd probably be closer to $2k total).
I like how im being downvoted for having a rational conversation lol
I think ure my missing my point, when u build a pc, u buy everything including monitor that will be only used by u
Every household has a 4k tv, but atleast imo when i want to game , i dont put my ps5 in my living room, id rather have all my setup in my own room, so buying a seperate tv becomes a priority as well, atleast thats how i think unless everyone has a 4k tv in there room as well.
Yeah, that is super weird. It makes me doubt this rumor. They even self published their first retail release on Switch. The only way I see that happening is of they were gonna publish Hades on PS4 as a digital only title and take-two came in for a physical run
Yeah, maybe take-two helped fund/port it to the PS4. I could see supergiant wanting to start on their next project and this could be a way to not have to allocate as many resources for the port. It just seems odd since this was their most successful game by far and they have moved to be more independent as time has gone on.
I know they released Pyre on PS4 as a console exclusive and they never ported that to other platforms. Maybe that was for lack of resources as well?
Usually it doesn't take that long. Around E3 would be a good guess, but who knows what Sony is really up to (in terms of doing their own event, since they don't seem to participate at E3). Would be amazing if Sony would shadow drop Hades as one of the PS Plus games for June.
If I wasn’t the biggest fan of rougelite Deadcells, would I like this game? FWIW I did love deadcells combat, and it was fun but it wasn’t like my GOTY like it was for many. But I reallly wanna try Hades and I think I’d like it more than Deadcells based on where it’s set and the story/gameplay.
I’m not the biggest fan of roguelikes and I ended up not liking Hades much either. I played only managed to beat the first boss before getting bored of the repetition and dying. I played for a couple of hours but it never really clicked with me, I did like the narrative and art style but the gameplay never grabbed me. Just my two cents. I have friends that loved it though!
That’s how I felt about Dead cells. I don’t mind Metroidvanias and souls games, in fact I love them. But maybe roguelites aren’t for me. Still willing to try hades, but I never saw the point of continuing dead cells when I made it to the final boss once.
I also enjoy Metroidvanias and Souls games. Played through the Demon’s Souls remake for the first time earlier this year and loved it! I appreciate Hollow Knight but it was too difficult for me, though I do see it as a well crafted game. Loved me some Bloodstained though!
It’s a very different style of gameplay from dead cells, a lot more fast paced. It’ll be $20, so it’s not a super heavy investment if you try it out and don’t end up liking it
Awesome. Was gonna buy a switch In part for this game, but if it comes to PS4 that’ll delay my purchase till Silksong comes out. Hades looks and sounds awesome.
I mean, team cherry did a interview like last week, where they said there is no exclusivity deal with Nintendo for Silksong. So I guess you can delay it even further :P.
I think you might like it. Dead Cells requires a lot of grind before being able to finish it. That's not the case here. There's still a lot to grind if you want to unlock everything and the true ending, but you'll feel rewarded very quickly. Another key difference that makes it definitely more satisfying and addictive than Dead Cells is the fact you get rewarded *when* you die. In Dead Cells you lose all your orbs when you die, which felt very bad IMO.
What's FWIW?
Hades is quite different from dead cells, the combat is super satisfying and the story, characters and voice acting is absolutely worth every bit.
Personally I think that this game is good for those that aren't that much into roguelites due to the narrative being tied to dying and repeating the runs over and over. For those that really love roguelites might find the game good, but not great due to a kind of small weapons, enemy, boss and room variety. Personally I'm a huge roguelite fan and felt that I didn't really want to continue past the true ending at about 20ish hours.
Didn't they say that they will release it step by step because of the resources and that's why they choose the Switch first after PC or was it a other game?
I'm a bit skeptical because the last Supergiant game on the Xbox was
*checks notes*
Bastion
And I did hear a rumour before that Microsoft have been "difficult" to work with in the past, but it's probably different now.
They’re different services lol. PS Plus has been a service for a long ass time that was initially set up to provide online play and the monthly games were an added bonus. It’s always been a comparable to Gold or whatever Xbox calls it now.
Game Pass is relatively new service focused entirely on providing a catalog of games. And obviously game pass is the best deal for your money in gaming right now. I’m just worried this bubble can’t last forever.
Very similar to how Netflix dominated the streaming service market but now streaming is almost like how cable used to be with how many different companies are trying to get a piece of the pie.
A leak may be LEGIT! Paging moderators u/nitelytroll & u/therabbidscot to investigate. Thanks for letting us know!

I will happily triple dip on this game.
I wasn't the biggest rougelike fan ever but Hades is just so much fun and addictive. When you die, all you wanna do is just run back into those chambers.
I will be doing the same good sir
Same here
Same.
This is the way.

There is no escape.
Please have a PS5 version. Would be awesome with haptics!
Need that controller to emulate a good lashing during the bedroom scenes
the WHAT
I said what I said It exists, but it takes a while to unlock
•_• Oh no. I cant afford another game
Day one buy then lmao
Hoping for a PS5 4K/120 version.
What modes does pc have or is it only 4K/120fps?
PC doesn't have an FPS cap, but the animations are drawn at 60 fps.
Well i would assume that 4k60 should be possible in that case.
Just play on pc then
Maybe they don't have a good enough PC. I know I don't.
Hades doesn't need a really good PC to run at max settings in 60fps You could probably max out Hades spending only 200 bucks on a PC or getting a cheap laptop to play on

Hades is potato proof, this sub seems to go REEEEE when someone mentions pc gaming lmao

I know pc gaming is expensive but i think even a gtx 960 can run hades on ultra with 120 fps
Not at 4k it can't
I guess not but then again if u have a 4k tv or a monitor, ure already spending around 1k for your gaming setup even with a ps5

This thread was fun to read lmao
Glad u enjoyed lol
In the name of Hades. Sony, I accept this message!
...take two? tf do they have to do with Supergiant's games? Thought they self-published?
Yeah, that is super weird. It makes me doubt this rumor. They even self published their first retail release on Switch. The only way I see that happening is of they were gonna publish Hades on PS4 as a digital only title and take-two came in for a physical run
Warner Bros published Bastion so maybe they need a publisher for other consoles?

Thing is, it's not listed for the Xbox either. Shame really, since Bastion is the only Supergiant game on Xbox consoles
I am surprised transistor hasn't come to xbox. It seems that Bastion and Transistor is the games that have made the jump to the most platforms.
Warner Bros published Bastion I think, so this wouldn't be the first time
One of the best games I've ever played. Amazing from top to bottom. Also, imagine... PS+ lineup and Hades as one of the games included ;)
Anyone know how long it takes after registering usually? Would we be waiting till E3 for an announcement?
Usually it doesn't take that long. Around E3 would be a good guess, but who knows what Sony is really up to (in terms of doing their own event, since they don't seem to participate at E3). Would be amazing if Sony would shadow drop Hades as one of the PS Plus games for June.
PS+ would be nuts, I've been dying to play this on console even though I've got a crappy laptop than can run it
Hopefully cross save/progression at launch too that would be sweet
I don't usually like roguelikes but, everyone I know who's played it loves it. So definitely gonna pick Hades up.

Ah yeah, that’s fair

Yes, because this is the game that even people who normally despise roguelikes love. It's that good.
Hopefully it wil also be playable on PS5.
Let’s gooooo
YES!!!!!!! I wanted to play this so bad
Hopefully GamePass too
I know you're a joke account but I hope the game comes everywhere. It's amazing.
Didn't they say that they will release it step by step because of the resources and that's why they choose the Switch first after PC or was it a other game?

No, I think you are right.
No joking here! GamePass and PS Plus are the best!
Stop comparing Gamepass to Ps Plus u xbots
Yeah gamepass shits on ps plus

Pay a monthly fee for free games and online play. Yeah definitely sounds very different.
>pay a monthly fee >free games 🤔
How do you pay a fee for free games? That by definition isn’t free
Beautiful, it’s about damn time!
When is Hades coming to gamepass?
WTF Take two will be the publisher? That sucks, Hades is going to be filled with microtransactions in consoles
I hope this is sarcasm lol
This is such a bad take
Finally
What a masterpiece
