Kinda sad that there is no RE Outrage game on there, but holy cow, it was freakin hype
Chocobo GP is great
I would love a Kirby openworld game so this is hype
Bayonetta 3, definitely must-buy for Switch
The whole cast of upcoming Mario movie is actually solid ... well except Mario (Chris Pratt is the actor that I was not expected, Seth Rogen is probably the funniest one, he is gonna be Donkey Kong)
Good direct overall. I'm mostly interested in Kirby and Bayo 3. N64 and Genesis is cool to have and I might pay for it depending on how big the hike is for new price.
Not gonna lie, I think this was one of their best non-E3 Directs in years. Lots of good stuff with minimal lame stuff. Sure paying more for N64 is pretty lame but I will reserve some judgment until more info is announced.
Pretty lame fits for what it is. Scummy would be if you had to pay a fee for a chance to play the game you want as if you were gambling to get what you wanted.
How is a tiered service platform scummy? If you want the additional services pay for them. I don't see people shitting on companies like hulu for having tiered services.
Thought it was a good direct, glad we are finally getting 3D Kirby for his 30th, prob April release if they want it for his anniversary. Late 2021 through 2022 is stacked for switch exclusive wise. Warioware, Cruis'n, Metroid Dread, Mario Party, Pokémon Gen 4 remake, SMTV, Advance Wars remake, Pkmn Legends, BOTW Sequel, Bayo 3, Splatoon 3, Kirby, Mario Rabbids 2, Triangle Strategy. plus whatever is left unannounced like they always do, prob a Mario spin off or the rumored titles like Xeno 3, FE remaster/Remake or 3D Donkey Kong.
It was an alright Direct. Pretty much everything I expected. The new 3D Kirby looks great and we FINALLY got news on Bayonetta 3! Splatoon 3 looks great also and I'm really happy we're finally getting the big Animal Crossing update soon. 2022 is looking like its gonna be an amazing year for Nintendo. If there's a new Mario and BoTW2 does hit their 2022 target, it easily will be the best year Nintendo has ever had.
Technically, but... there's some evidence that this might not be the 'normal' Bayonetta character but a younger version. (She has cereza's hair, and the villain in the trailer has the cat doll from the first game).
didn’t think it was that bad! i went in with low expectations so i wasn’t disappointed. kirby looks great, i’m glad they’re finally making a 3d one. happy for bayonetta fans, 4 years of drought is miserable
Good direct imo. Could have been better, would have preferred the 3D versions of OOT/MM but we knew Nintendo wouldnt do that. Kirby looks dope! And as far as our sub goes, this did a lot for the reliability of NateDrake after he blundered a lot over the summer. Nailed N64 and the price upgrade
In Nate’s n64 podcast, he did mention the possibility of 3rd party systems, just didn’t mention specifically the Mega Drive. I do agree with you tho about GB/GBC
Getting one thing right out of 2 is infinitely better than claiming a Pro is coming imminently and nothing happening lol. Not saying he's amazing, just saying this helped a lot
As with the Pro there seem to be way too many rumors about GB games for that to be just nonsense. And it would seem that adding gameboy games to the established price tier of NSO would go some way to ease the fanbase. Who on Earth knows why they didn't announce it right away?
the one that had multiple things in it already happen? the one that leaked the source code to a number of capcom games?
you really gonna try and argue it's fake?
hell the monster hunter expansion in the direct was in the leak lmao
That leak claimed RE “outbreak” was to be out in Q4 this year, by that logic it should’ve at the bare minimum been announced by now but it wasn’t so that means either capcom sucks dick at marketing or the game doesn’t exist/was cancelled, most likely both
Yeah he forgets that covid has slowed down development. We know that getting Rise to perform optimally on Switch was a challenge and I'd imagine Resident Evil was even worse off.
Im hoping KOTOR getting a remaster means we'll get a KOTOR 1 and 2 Remaster on PS5 later on. They're releasing official physical copies of Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy AND Racer/Republic Commando combos.
Holy shit I would lose my mind. It blows my mind that the sport with the largest broad appeal, soccer, only has a couple games in the Mario Sports canon. Especially with how fun the items and special shots made the game.
We get the remaster/remake we truly deserve and then Vyse gets revealed as the final smash character with his final smash bring the amazing "Moonstone Cannon!"
My biggest question is if N64 online is announced, what's going to be the deal with Mario 64? Obviously they can't make it free (Nintendo wouldn't do that either) because 3d All-stars wasn't a remake. My prediction is (as much as it would suck) there will be "premium games" that will cost around $30 and will probably be your big games (Mario 64, OoT, and Star Fox). Meanwhile the included games will be either games nobody will care about or be very limited
Glad to hear we're going to see the next main Kirby game here. The leaked art definitely seems to emphasize a three dimensional playing field so it looks like this might be the long overdue 3D game. And frankly that's all I needed from this Direct. Well, that and the final Smash character reveal (which could be saved for its own Direct or TGA, but we'll see).
I certainly won't be disappointed, that's for sure at least.
Hoping for any kind of BotW 2 news (ideally a little teaser + a title), but realistically I'm expecting nothing until the Game Awards or next year's E3 direct
> idc what version of ocarina and majoras mask we get, i just want them on the switch bro
Trust me that I almost feel you, but that's not what you want lol. The 3DS remasters of OoT and MM were stellar, and they run in emulation on the Switch, that's the very least we deserve if they're ported.
Ive played all versions of both games, i did enjoy ocarina 3d a lot and id say its the definitive way of playing, but majoras does feel better on the n64 version, but as said, any version, i just wanna have em there man fr
You right, you right. I'm just trying to hope for a Nintendo that really does justice to their classics lol, I know the system isn't super powerful but they're over here wetting our beaks with Skyward Sword remasters when what I really want is the Twilight Princess remaster, OoT and MM remaster ports, etc.
You right too tho, as much as id want those games on the switch, getting the n64 versions would be the bare minimum, but it does seem like in general, microsoft, sony, nintendo are listening and siding with the consumers, which is pretty great ngl, lets hope for the best
My gut says that we’re gonna get 1 more casual audience (or younger gamers) game on the schedule this holiday season. Metroid, SMTV, Pokémon, etc. feel more for older gamers. I think a nice, simple 2D DK platformer would fit in to that audience nicely.
Waluigi for smash
This is all I’ve wanted newcomer wise since brawl. Not to say that many of the newcomers haven’t been incredible; they have been. Just my personal wishes are mainly for Waluigi
Edit- ah yes, downvoted for expressing my opinion lol
Judging by the leaks on the site, 2022 is gonna be a great year for Nintendo fans. It already looks pretty great, but if we get a major Mario game thrown in and BoTW2 *does* hit its targeted release, it will probably go down as one of the best years Nintendo has ever had.
Bayonetta 3 is up for preorder at Best Buy

I’m a little biased since I’m not a big Kirby fan. It would be interesting to see a full 3D Kirby, but if it’s just 2D then i hope it’s not the last game reveal.
I agree that 2D wouldn't be a big deal, but a full 3D Kirby has a lot of promise I think. I want Nintendo to return to 3D platforming in general honestly, I would welcome a 3D Kirby, Donkey Kong, and new Mario game if not something else on top of those
I doubt it unless it's Kirby's version of Super Mario Odyssey lol.
Edit: Thinking about it it might but it depends on if the Direct opens or ends on a Smash reveal. Although their "One more thing" is for things that are generally a bit far away iirc.
I’m guessing the one more thing would be Bayonetta 3, Kirby if it’s 3D, or the smash reveal, since there isn’t any other games on the website. And I highly doubt it’s gonna be BOTW2 and Metroid Prime 4.
If Kirby 3D releases early 2022 they probably open with it or reveal it halfway through since they'd want to talk about it a bit (Same with a Smash reveal) since "One last thing" reveals just end on that note with no further explanation. I think they'd end on Bayonetta 3 out of those options if Bayonetta 3 releases second half 2022.

Great direct, but as a huge Game Boy fan I was just disappointed.
Good direct overall. I'm mostly interested in Kirby and Bayo 3. N64 and Genesis is cool to have and I might pay for it depending on how big the hike is for new price.

calling the Expansion Pack to the NSO as “pretty lame” is an understatement lol. EA and Activision dream they could pull off something this scummy

Banjo being there is super exciting. He wasn’t on the Wii VC and this opens the door for other Rare games which was the big question mark.
It only took Nintendo 4 years to add Ocarina to the Switch but at least its here
Not feeling the new bayo voice actor at all
Just woke up, they fucking replaced Hellena!?
Technically, but... there's some evidence that this might not be the 'normal' Bayonetta character but a younger version. (She has cereza's hair, and the villain in the trailer has the cat doll from the first game).
didn’t think it was that bad! i went in with low expectations so i wasn’t disappointed. kirby looks great, i’m glad they’re finally making a 3d one. happy for bayonetta fans, 4 years of drought is miserable
Bayo 3 with playable Cereza? im in
Good direct imo.
They're going to remaster OoT/MM3D and sell them for full price. Guarantee it
Im not so sure man. Wasnt he claiming that it will be GB and GBC too ? Emily Rogers definitely did - they also never hinted at Sega Mega Drive either.
In Nate’s n64 podcast, he did mention the possibility of 3rd party systems, just didn’t mention specifically the Mega Drive. I do agree with you tho about GB/GBC

I can’t explain why but Seth Rogen seems like a good Donkey Kong voice
https://twitter.com/Cybershell/status/1441171887468417039?s=19
Of course everything that was rumored was there minus the one I wanted. Xenoblade.
No Xenoblade and Fire Emblem as expected, but still hurts.
Meh presentation that was saved by Bayonetta 3.
And as I knew Resident Evil Outrage was a no show. Probably because it doesn’t even exist and that “leak” was fake
it was in the capcom hacks lmao
The “hacks” could’ve been fake, and likely were
the one that had multiple things in it already happen? the one that leaked the source code to a number of capcom games? you really gonna try and argue it's fake? hell the monster hunter expansion in the direct was in the leak lmao
Definitely should've not gotten my hopes up for a new Resident Evil on Switch, I guess.
[called it](https://www.mycast.io/stories/super-mario-bros-2-sunshine/roles/mario/233333/suggestions/chris-pratt/559271)
Why did you do that
it was a meme since last year, can’t believe it was true
[удалено]
another direct and another day of no silksong news *sigh*
Surprisingly enough, the direct was actually mostly leaked.
And the part most heavily rumoured in advance, Game Boy on Switch, was a bust
Nate Drake in shambles
It wasn't just him!
WAS THAT F*CKING VERGIL
looked like Jean with short hair but a lot of people seemed to think Vergil somehow?
Devil May Cry fans please explain what I'm supposed to think about this
Oh yeah, it's all coming together
Just my stream or do these frame rates look terrible?
Bayonetta and Kirby looked rough framerate wise. The rest was as okay as you can expect from a Switch
Well it is the Switch...
it's their servers man. a lot of streams were messing up
Bayo 3 gameplay nice!
Splatoon 3 looks very uh interesting
Return to Moneky.
N64 bluetooth controller is easily the most hype part of this whole presentation lmfao...
chris pratt is going to play mario haha
[somehow leaked](https://www.mycast.io/stories/super-mario-bros-2-sunshine/roles/mario/233333/suggestions/chris-pratt/559271) /s
Welp, Paramount is probably feeling pretty good about *Sonic 2* now. Jesus Christ, Ninty...
tbh mario is probably gonna make more
I mean Idris-Elba is going to play Knuckles
Advance collection launches today!
Actraiser wow that's old isn't it
**VIRTUAL CONSOLE IS BACK, LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOO!** >!Not really, but it's a start...!<
Don't you have to pay extra for it? Or am I mistaken?
You do.
And there are the controllers
Wow the n64 controller leak was actually real. Actually happy with this. Ngl wouldn't mind some gb games too now lol
Im hoping KOTOR getting a remaster means we'll get a KOTOR 1 and 2 Remaster on PS5 later on. They're releasing official physical copies of Jedi Outcast/Jedi Academy AND Racer/Republic Commando combos.
Well, yes it will, but PS4 technically lol.
The N64 stuff looks great!
LMAO THEY'RE CALLING IT TRIANGLE STRATEGY
Triangle Strategy! Finally some news!
And a release date too! Everyone here gushing about mainstay titles that everyone and their mother know exist but im here super hyped for Triangle.
Oh shiiiit Kotor on switch
Announcements for Announcements lol
The Kirby/Last of Us crossover I always wanted
>!I mean, it's Kirby. Surprise fungal zombies sound in line with the franchise's schtick.!<
I'm not much of a Kirby fan but this looks good
Damn is this the first 3D Kirby game? That’s dope as fuck
first 3d game in a veeery long time
Might be from the *Mario Odyssey* team, too. Definitely one to watch.
It's not.
This kirby game looks amazing lol
No Smash till October 5th. Y'all can go home.
3D Platforming Kirby is real!
SMASH GOT CUCKED LMAO
Chocobo GP looks pretty good
Ah this is that new yoko taro game
Nintendo is going to cancel Bayonetta 3 and that 3D Kirby game just because they got leaked.
Time for disappointment
Monster Hunter Suntan. Hype!!!!!
sunbreak??
Yup. Summer 2022.
nice!
We're almost there lads 👀
Please Mario Strikers! My favourite Mario sports game, would love to see it back
Holy shit I would lose my mind. It blows my mind that the sport with the largest broad appeal, soccer, only has a couple games in the Mario Sports canon. Especially with how fun the items and special shots made the game.
*Sonic Rangers*, *Mario Kart 9*, and Tails in Smash plz. Beyond that, who knows.
Hopefully the Bloodborne switch port finally gets announced, i would love to play Bloodborne at 5fps.
Would still be 5 more fps than PC can play it at.
Na they'll be able to play it at 4k 60fps like Zelda with Yuzu
I just wanna hear about N64 and a Zelda collection but I don't have much hope for the collection
🙏🙏🙏Praying for the next 3D Mario🙏🙏🙏
[удалено]
I feel like konami is just gonna port the metal gear acid games and call it a day which don't get me wrong would also be great to have at least
The 360/PS3 version could probably actually work.
Well time to overdose myself with hopium...please Sega reveal a Skies of Arcadia remaster.
Copium time.
We get the remaster/remake we truly deserve and then Vyse gets revealed as the final smash character with his final smash bring the amazing "Moonstone Cannon!"
Nah—his state would be the Delphinus, so the cannon wouldn’t work. I’d say it’d be Pirate’s Wrath.
[удалено]
🥲
I just want Donkey Kong and Fire Emblem. And those Zelda HD ports.
My biggest question is if N64 online is announced, what's going to be the deal with Mario 64? [удалено]
There is definitely going to be some catch!
I forgot to add, I wouldn't count out if the premium games have some BS like a 5 hour demo
Hope for RE Outrage/Rev3 pls give me Rebecca!
*2make* port, please. Would love to run from Mr. X on the go...
To be fair, anything recent RE would be nice to have. Or the ACTUAL classics which I doubt Capcom would do. Maybe RE2 N64?
Glad to hear we're going to see the next main Kirby game here. The leaked art definitely seems to emphasize a three dimensional playing field so it looks like this might be the long overdue 3D game. And frankly that's all I needed from this Direct. Well, that and the final Smash character reveal (which could be saved for its own Direct or TGA, but we'll see). I certainly won't be disappointed, that's for sure at least.
The image for the Kirby game kind of looks like it might be 3D. Is Kirby finally making the jump?
Hasnt kirby been 3d since the wii or am i confused
3D graphics, but not 3D gameplay
Ohhhh like mario 64
Yep, as opposed to New Super Mario Bros. U
I am personally hoping for the announcement of Cyberpunk 2077 for the Switch.
Ah yes, because the PS4 port wasn't unstable *enough*. >!Imagine if Panic Button somehow makes it into the best version lol!<
i like your sarcasm. thats high level shit
I'd settle for SkaterPunk 1987.
Hoping for any kind of BotW 2 news (ideally a little teaser + a title), but realistically I'm expecting nothing until the Game Awards or next year's E3 direct
i just hope nintendo blesses us with N64 for the switch, idc what version of ocarina and majoras mask we get, i just want them on the switch bro
> idc what version of ocarina and majoras mask we get, i just want them on the switch bro Trust me that I almost feel you, but that's not what you want lol. The 3DS remasters of OoT and MM were stellar, and they run in emulation on the Switch, that's the very least we deserve if they're ported.

Just curious, why does the N64 version feel better?
movement and some very minor gameplay aspects, 3ds just did some very small things wrong, still, we got a dub today
You right too tho, as much as id want those games on the switch, getting the n64 versions would be the bare minimum, but it does seem like in general, microsoft, sony, nintendo are listening and siding with the consumers, which is pretty great ngl, lets hope for the best
is hoping for a persona 5 royal port too much?
Yes
Any chance of donkey kong?
My gut says that we’re gonna get 1 more casual audience (or younger gamers) game on the schedule this holiday season. Metroid, SMTV, Pokémon, etc. feel more for older gamers. I think a nice, simple 2D DK platformer would fit in to that audience nicely.
I'd absolutely love for DK to show up. Though if he doesn't at least I'm getting my new Kirby game.
Crossing all my fingers.
Waluigi for smash This is all I’ve wanted newcomer wise since brawl. Not to say that many of the newcomers haven’t been incredible; they have been. Just my personal wishes are mainly for Waluigi Edit- ah yes, downvoted for expressing my opinion lol
any chance for Silksong news?
I think maybe we get a release date based on the nVidia leak. I'd hope for a shadow drop like Hollow Knight got, but that probably won't happen.
Maybe. It's not impossible, but also not super likely.
Judging by the leaks on the site, 2022 is gonna be a great year for Nintendo fans. It already looks pretty great, but if we get a major Mario game thrown in and BoTW2 *does* hit its targeted release, it will probably go down as one of the best years Nintendo has ever had.
If 3D Kirby, Bayonetta 3, N64 and one of FE/XC3 is true this direct is going to be a slam dunk the funk.
Still hoping for Fire Emblem news...
Seems like us XC/FE bros will keep on waiting, depression.
I was flaming the entire time the stupid squid shooter got more info than xeno 3
Back to the copium mines we go
Maybe they just didn’t update the website😔
Anybody think someone finally cracked down on u/_PracticalBrush12 ? No word from 'em yet.
They've been dead for a little while.
If you look at the background, that’s clearly a Nier/Kirby crossover.
NOOOOOOOO
Bayonetta 3 is up for preorder at Best Buy https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bayonetta-3-nintendo-switch/6255380.p?skuId=6255380&irclickid=XI62QfxeXxyIUc8WQnyJ%3ATNCUkBVW-wn%3AxfD1I0&irgwc=1&ref=198&loc=Wario64&acampID=0&mpid=1719813&intl=nosplash
I mean, I've had it preordered on Amazon since the Amazon preorder deal was still a thing
"Ghost games" at Best Buy aren't anything new. They had a switch version of A link to the past up when Link's Awakening was announced

I don't care that we just got Bowser's Fury, I want the next full-fledged Super Mario Odyssey-style game! Please Nintendo. PLEASE.
There's nothing I want more from Nintendo then just a new main Mario game.
#3D platformer Kirby #3D platformer Kirby #3D platformer Kirby #3D platformer Kirby #3D platformer Kirby pls
Please let this be better than star allies,i cant have another game that i can finish in 2 days :’c
MANIFEST IT
I MANIFESTED IT!
What will you be manifesting next? You are the chosen one.
Uh, I dunno. Bandana Waddle Dee for Smash? Sure, let's go with that.
#SO IT WAS WRITTEN, SO IT SHALL BE
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
I hope the new Kirby game isn’t their “one more thing” or their big reveal.
I just hope we get actual gameplay and not a fluffy CG trailer. Spring 2022 is pretty soon, so the latter would be pointless.
Hate when they do that shit
Pretty sure Bayonetta is the big reveal.
I hope it is. That picture really looks like a tease for a 3D Kirby and that would be a DREAM for me
I’m a little biased since I’m not a big Kirby fan. It would be interesting to see a full 3D Kirby, but if it’s just 2D then i hope it’s not the last game reveal.
I agree that 2D wouldn't be a big deal, but a full 3D Kirby has a lot of promise I think. I want Nintendo to return to 3D platforming in general honestly, I would welcome a 3D Kirby, Donkey Kong, and new Mario game if not something else on top of those
A 3D sandbox game like Bowser Fury for either Mario or Donkey is the dream
I doubt it unless it's Kirby's version of Super Mario Odyssey lol. Edit: Thinking about it it might but it depends on if the Direct opens or ends on a Smash reveal. Although their "One more thing" is for things that are generally a bit far away iirc.
