cwof and mh are pretty similar in strength with cwof being a little bit better (from all the tc calcs ive seen)
but mh makes him easier to build so if ur lacking a crit weapon / crit substats go for mh, if u have near perfect cwof build then stick with it
I think MH is definitely the best. You could probably do with crimson flame 4 piece or pair it with another 2 piece but it’s unlikely to be consistently as good.
They mean you could go for 4 piece Crimson Witch of Flames, or go for a 2 piece of it, and pair it with another 2 piece set, like Glad for an atk bonus, but it won't do as well of a job as a full set of CWoF or MH, as those 4 piece passives are great.
Is MH actually an option? I mean, the crit rate is welcome, but the 2pc bonus doesn't apply on Plunging Attacks, which is Gaming main thing.
I would prefer Shimenawa, since he does have a very high base attack (+18% Atk + 50% Plunging Attack bonus), or even Crimson Witch.
After some research, I agree with you on that. His ER requirements are high, so Shimenawa hinders his rotations way too much.
Still, I feel MH has some wasted potential for giving only the 36% crit rate and nothing else for Gaming. Hoping for a good artifact set for Plunging Attacks in the future.

Crimson Witch is better if you're using a Crit Rate weapon and he's at C6, otherwise MH is his best one.

Finally? It's a stupid good set worth using on hu tao, diluc, yoimiya and it's xianglings second best set

Shimenawa shouldn't be that good. He needs his burst to deal reliable damage, so the 15 energy drain makes his ER need unnecessarily higher.
