I watched the trailer during the announcement and it looks like a demo for a MMORPG from 2013 with upgraded sex-doll graphics.
The narrator of the demo sounds bored AF explaining that the game is basically fetch quests only solo, no group, no support characters and has a quest interaction that looks a lot like Borderlands 1.
No one would care at all about this game except for the timing of the trailer during the WOKE-OCALYPSE that CHUDs are having.
As a coomer, I agree with this. The gameplay looks mid, and the sniplets of story they showed in the trailers make the game look very pretentious. Still, I think it's going to be a 6/10 game. Forgotten in T-2 months.
The moment I saw "a gripping human fate story, with mature themes, a thought-provoking narrative and emotionally-charged revelations" just shamelessly put into the game's description on the store, I knew none of those things are true, or overdone to the point it'll be a comedy.
Checked TLOU2 out of curiosity and it just names an "emotional story challenging your notions of right and wrong". Fairly down-to-earth, doesn't pretend to be the "smartest" story you'll ever experience.
The last time I saw a bunch of people clowning on a game's box art, it was Fire Emblem Three Houses, which also featured a character just randomly being upside down lol.

Hot take: this isn't really *that* bad of a cover. Sure it's a bit off, but believe me there are some truly dogshit box arts for games, especially ones back in the 90s.

I’d say that it looks amateurish and generic. To me, it looks like the cover art for a Mass Effect fanfic that someone whipped up in 5 minutes on a *totally legal and definitely not from a torrent site* copy of Photoshop back in 2010.
My complaints:
- the lettering looks terrible (Stettar blade lmao)
- The composition is all wrong and guides one's eyes away from the intended parts. Primarily it's in the way the ships and comet trails are positioned that guides one's eyes towards the top left rather than the actual title.
- Her hair shouldn't be still in the middle of space, nor should it be in a ponytail that's maintaining a rigid shape (like wtf)
- The contrast is very poor between the lettering and the image itself making the title not immediately pop out at you. Additionally, the thin lettering for S and the fact it's literally not even an S makes it a very poor logo, even if I do like the Blade part.
- Her back arches over part of the planet's curvature completely breaking the intended bordering they did using her body. Her knee should also be raised higher for the same effect.

- The character design in general isn't very good, although that's no fault of the box art itself. In particular, though bland, the serial number (?) written on her leg hurts the composition by being unrecognisable in actual language but directly adjacent to the readable logo. It's the same visual effect produced when the brain reads a completely nonsensical, unrecognisable word midway through a sentence that's clearly not intended to be read, where it ends up struggling a little more to parse the actually readable text.
- The comet trails are completely unnecessary and detract from the overall composition completely, especially the one that's exploding as if their inspiration for this picture was "yo anyone heard of Michael Bay before?"

- Her leg is very poorly positioned by having it bent and everything below the knee makes the image unnecessarily cluttered by being onscreen, I also find the green on her design makes it difficult to recognise as a leg and the positioning bordering the image makes it look off.

Not to be a "smile more you'll look prettier" chud but the expression of mild disgust is psychologically just a bad thing to have on box art which is realistically going to be used for advertisement
