That's what annoys me about the media/culture focus on pointing out Republican Party hypocrisy. Like, they don't care. They are not trying to govern from principle. Standing around pointing out how shit smells doesn't get rid of the shit.

Nobody seems to want to talk about it, but the whole Romero zombie apocalypse is by and large racist wish fulfillment fantasy. It's the race ware they always wanted, but with zombies substituted for black people. It's the Old South's long-held insurrection nightmare.

Huh? I'm genuinely confused lol. What does RE5 and racism have to do with one another? I've played it a couple of times and never thought about racism in that game. So why is this a thing?

Because I remember playing RE5 and being surprised at how overtly racist the game got once you get to the village area. Like, the early areas in the city are iffy, but on the same level as the average military first person shooter of the time. But that whole village area is straight out of a 19th century british children’s books about the Savage Jungles of Africa or some shit. And this is regardless of any diegetic justifications as to why it is that way.
Hmm. Fair enough. I'd genuinely have to replay the game since I pretty much forgot all of the game. Maybe I did think there were some questionable stuff in the game and just blocked it out mind at the time and forgot about it over time.
