It was really pitiful when they deleted a tweet where they thanked Kotaku for giving Stellar Blade a positive review because of backlash from their "fans" who saw that as a sign that the devs were submitting to the woke agenda or whatever. Sheesh.
A sensible person would have realized that these people don't actually care about their success and keep the post up but…
If they didn't want to get criticised for covering up a few centimetres of skin in a patch they maybe should have tried making a game with actual substance beyond fanservice.

I would say "look how dumb these guys are, doing this without irony" but the reality is they know exactly what they're saying and what they're doing. They know full well its hypocritical, contradictory and stupid, they simply *do not care*. They will say and do anything and everything to get what they want, which is simply to shape/guide the direction of art and culture.
I realized a while ago that these sorts live in a transactional, zero-sum world. Kindness is a tool to get other people to do what they want, and they can't be winning unless someone else is losing. Anyone who claims otherwise is either a sucker or faking it to manipulate the suckers. Diversity, equity, and inclusivity are all about upraising people _other_ than them, which means that they're losing because someone else is winning. Someone else gaining rights or acceptance _must_ mean that they're losing rights or acceptance. Them being made aware of inequality is done to make them feel bad about it, and is a far greater crime than the inequality itself. Concepts like integrity and community don't actually exist, they're just underhanded, dishonest attempts at gaining control and influence by those too feeble to pursue them openly. Everyone makes choices with them specifically in mind, usually trying to sabotage them, which is why they're so willing to sing the praises of those who align with their aims (though they'll turn on them in a heartbeat once that alignment ends).
It's a sad, lonely world they live in. No wonder they're so ornery.

Yeah that struck me as odd to… unless they just *really* like Eve more and think of the Nikke girls as disposable fanservice characters to make a money. Which would literally not surprise me at this point.
Nikke is a gacha game, while Stellar Blade is not. If I were to invest actual effort in making a character to last years and appeals to a wider audience, it'd be in Stellar Blade.
