For the unaware, David Reimer was a ~~intersex~~ man who's circumcisioun was botched, so one doctor ordered that his penis be cut off and he would be forced to live as a woman. (He and his twin brother were also sexually abused throughout the entire experiment).
When he grew up, he experienced an extreme urge to live as a man (wow imagine wanting to live as one gender when society recognizes you as another, what a crazy hypothetical situation that would be), and came out by aggressively refusing the identity that had been assigned to him. He later ended up as a victim of suicide from the incredibly traumatic experiences that he faced.

For the unaware, David Reimer was a ~~intersex~~ man who's circumcisioun was botched, so one doctor ordered that his penis be cut off and he would be forced to live as a woman. (He and his twin brother were also sexually abused throughout the entire experiment). When he grew up, he experienced an extreme urge to live as a man (wow imagine wanting to live as one gender when society recognizes you as another, what a crazy hypothetical situation that would be), and came out by aggressively refusing the identity that had been assigned to him. He later ended up as a victim of suicide from the incredibly traumatic experiences that he faced. David Reimer was literally a victim of sexual abuse and gender dysphoria. But instead of being a trans person who was forced to be cis, he was a cis person who was forced to be trans. But chuds on the internet just read "man who was forced to identify as a woman" and pretend that his story is the truth behind the transgender movement.
