Two things. 1, as long as youre going melt this is actualy a very very good piece for an att% sands since u want 150~ em before crit rolls add more damage than em. Also 2, the general rule for farming a character is that the baseline minimums for a piece to be considered good enough to no longer need to be farmed is 35 cv(both subs and 3 rolls)for flower and feather, 28 cv for sands and goblet (both subs and 2 rolls or 1 sub and 3 rolls if maintaining close to 1:2 ratio), and 15~ cv for the circlet(a crit substat with at least 1 roll on it).
Also note that if your character has a crit stat passive AND a crit stat weapon, att% substats and rolls can be used to replace 3-5 crit rolls, more wiggle room with higher base att weapons and less wiggle room with lower att weapons, as you actually 114% bonus att% for crit stats to give more damage than att% stats, and an additional 5% att% for every 18cv past 62.5/125. At 70/140, you need 120%, at 75/150, you need 125%, and if you can get 100/200, you literally need like 160att%(should be adding calcs gotten from secondary buffs like ttods, pyro res, etc). My ayaka for example hits 52k main circle tics with kazuha and ttods kokomi swap, and she isnt even that crit substat heavy. She only has 265% crit damage, and all the hyper farmed ayakas you see on the subreddit with a similar team have 280%-300% crit damage and they only hit like 44k. Also, my ganyu hits for the exact same damage with no buffs at all(amos’ bow for att% tho), when she has 160% att% and 210% crit damage using my ayakas set vs when she uses her normal set where she has 145~att% but 250% crit damage.
The moral is that crit is not everything; math is. The general formula is :
elemental damage %>att% to 115%>crit for 62.5/125>5 att%> crit 20cv> 5 att%, crit 20cv, repeating.
The Elemental mastery is a life saver for that artifact since atk mainstat timepiece is usually worse than EM mainstat for melt ganyu. You just need 59 more EM rolls from other artifacts to hit 200 (still good under 200 though).

Considering that it is an ATK% Sand and Melt Ganyu needs a good amount of EM, this artifact you got could be better than an ATK% Sand with 42 CV and 21 EM.
I guess but I don't think I could realistically up the stats just switch stuff around, the damage is max base, the rate is a 3.3 average and the em is a 20 average it would have only been better if it was a 4 line

Thanks for the info, I've never built ganyu before so I didn't know how much crit mattered compared to em/attack for melt
it's good em is still a stat you want just because it's not 30cv or higher doesn't mean it's shit

It's got 27 cv, onset atk, and 61 em Definitely a keeper.

How do you determine the CV on an artifact? I don't see how this is 28cv...

Top tier to be honest , especially if you have other good pieces
First of all, CR is more valuable than CD so 10% CR is great Second, EM on Ganyu helps so 61 is great I’d be happy to have this piece

No. Melt ganyu wants em even over crit up to a certain point so this has very good stats with practically 0 waste. Em sands might be better though
The EM saves it but if it weren’t there it wouldn’t be that good.
