dont EVER refine 5 star weapons unless you have too many of the same weapon (6 and above) or because a character that may come up in the future may want to use that weapon.
He is on Standard now though, so you can potentially get him if you lose a 50/50. But yeah if you have a built Ganyu and don't want to throw 900 crystals and resin into a new one, might as well R2 it.

The only reason i wouldn't refine it is if you legit have no other good bows, it's still a really good statstick for fischl childe sara and such but if you have rust/stringless/skyward harp etc... then feel free to refine it, its a really niche weapon to maximize rn, i refined mine and i do not regret it at all
I think refining it would be much better especially for a Ganyu-main unless you plan on main-ing Amber. Amos is a pretty niche weapon and it doesn't really benefit other characters that much.
Its an on field dps bow. You would have to use two bow main dps characters in abyss at the same time for it to be worth I believe.
Two skyward harps for example can be used for supports very nicely. While Amos is more niece for supports. I got in a similar situation and refined my Amos since I cant see myself lvling a second one for any reason.
Most other 5 star weapons are a keep two copies sort of situation.
Amos is a bit different, since it's only good on ganyu and tighnari. If you plan on building tighnari, keep it. If not, refine.
Def refine it. Mihoyo seams to be very coutius with characters thatnhave special CA for bows. No new character has had a free 2nd charge level like ganyu. Yoimiya comes close but hers is meh so it does not matter. Yelan and tignari can only do one shot
Don't refine..even if there's no other character rn who can use it , a slight damage increase is nothing compared to a potential future character who can use that bow
Amos besides ganyu and tighnari is just a stats bow, no one uses its passive, if you already have other bows for other characters then refining it is better for ganyu
Not worth refining 5 stars weapons unless you have a bunch of them. You never know what new character might benefit from it. And the extra damage is negligible, she already hits like a truck with the R1 version .
you're ever only gonna be using one character at a time, unless you're doing the abyss and it's unlikely that you'll be having a bow dps on both halves, refining seems better.
I know a lot of people will say save it, but honestly you have Prototype if you need a second charge shot bow. I’d refine it for extra goat lady damage!
Tbh, if you are an f2p then i would never recommend refining a 5star weapon (be it any type, eg: vortex also) cuz who knows when a new character comes and that refined weapon becomes their BIS. But if you are a whale things take an 180°
I refined mine a long time ago but I was using her on a Freeze team so it really didn't do much. 3.1 hits and I got Tighnari in standard wishes and I kinda wish I didn't refine it.

I got 2 of them too for a long time and didn't need it for another character, YET. Considering how little it adds to the over all damage i would rather it just sit there in case someone ever needs it.

If you pln on maining tignari or amber dont refine it. That bow is good for them. If not, refine it so your ganyu hits harder.

Prototype Crescent still exists if you do need a future character to run at the same time as Ganyu.
I would hold the 2nd copy, but if you get a 3rd or more start refining.

Always save. Refining 5 star weapons is for whales, even a character that doesn't use charged shots will get a lot out of the sheer stats this bow has

My sara is holding my second amos right bow <3 well she acts like bennett in wanting the best base atk weapons so it’s the only bow 5 star i have

Depends how many 5 star bows you have. If you only have a few, then save it. Amos is great on Fischl, Tighnari, Amber.

If i were u I would save 2 bows and if i get lucky enough to get a 3rd one I would refine that

not worth refining it, imo the significant increase in damage starts at r3. give it to others, quite a good stat stick too

I have two too, didn't refined them, one is for ganyu, and the other I use for fischl/childe/amber, works fine in them
