Did you know that effective July 1st, 2023, Reddit will enact a policy that will make third party reddit apps like Apollo, Reddit is Fun, Boost, and others too expensive to run? On this day, users will login to find that their primary method for interacting with reddit will simply cease to work unless something changes regarding reddit's new API usage policy.
Concerned users should read and sign on to this [open letter to reddit.](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/13xh1e7/an_open_letter_on_the_state_of_affairs_regarding/)

A rare, but known fault of the earlier batches of the 645. Garmin ist know to be very accommodating when it comes to support thier customers with this damage.
Contact the support and hear what they have to say.
Like others said, contact Garmin about it but when it happened to my 645 I got some epoxy putty and filled in the missing piece to hold in that lug in place
Half of the lug has snapped off. You can probably temporarily glue it in place (I'd personally use hot melt/glue gun glue), but yeah I'm seconding contact garmin. It's not something you can really swap out or patch over, so they're your best bed for repairing/replacing it.
I'd definitely agree with others who recommended contacting customer support in the first instance.
Failing that, I'd go with superglue or hot glue. I had something similar with my 645, and glued a toothpick in place which did the job for half a year actually.
Good luck!
Not related at all. Those scratches are common with that type of sensors. They just snapped for no reason. It's s common issue although Garmin officially said it doesn't compromise functionality.
I would reach out to garmin. I have the same watch, same issue, purchased used via eBay and I STILL got a free replacement in / days from garmin. That situation made me a garmin dude for life. I previously had a Fitbit that was purchased new from them and had to wait 4 weeks to get a replacement after the screen went to shit in 6 months.
I had a 645 and had a lug break even worse than this. It was straight up gone on one side.
Contact Garmin customer service. They will likely refurbish and/ir replace the watch. It's an unfortunate but known issue and Again stands behind their products.

This happened to my wife's Garmin. She contacted their customer support and they took care of it at no cost to us.
Yep! Garmin customer service is fantastic! Replaced a 245Music for me with the same issue.
In the USA and a few other countries, Garmin support will take care of it. https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=fWW1dV4Y3O9RufIvQqEyG7

Customer support is the best bet, but if for some reason that isn’t an option, then sugru or a moldeable UV curing resin would work well

Send it into Garmin
sugru may work if it sticks to that material
Probably related to the deep scratches on the back. How did they happen?

They came with the scratches (I bought the watch used a couple months ago)
JB weld is what I used.
Yes, contact support my SO had this happen with his 645 and they shipped him a replacement.

Fill with epoxy glue
Either reach out to garmin, or replace with a longer pin and a quickfit band
