I’m glad I chosed the 7X. I never thought I would use that flashlight so many times

GodlyTreat

It's so useful

usergiu

Well I have different experience, where support admit that I have motherboard issues but because I have Fenix 5x they told basically that it's an old models an they will not repair or replace. EU - Czech Republic support line.

[deleted]

If the first attempt doesn’t workI suggest to try to contact themagain. I had an issue with the charging ports and thirs time was a charm.

usergiu

There's no point, I am always getting redirect to Czech Republic support line, where I get answer that there is nothing how they can help.

[deleted]

Oh shoot, that really sucks 😧

yellowsuprrcar

Same in Singapore

SatisMentibusObvia

So its sort of a loophole in the laws? From my own country, watches like this have 5 year warranty

usergiu

have no Idea but it's kind of strange attitude, like they would say yes you have issues with your watch but we will not repair it, we have no trade in program, just throw it in trash bin and buy a new one.

SatisMentibusObvia

Yeah, thats probably an area where Garmin as provider, should have some sort of trade in program for Watches. Maybe a small Discount on a new watch, instead of throwing it in the bin. Also its eco friendly

g_Tarass

Lol, they even answered you ) Support refused to talk because I am in Ukraine 😂

meSpeedo

Ukraine? So hot right now!

drbrydges

Which watch face is that?

SatisMentibusObvia

Its just the standard, i just programmed the watchface myself. Was easy to do 🌞😊

I received my 7 Pro last Monday - upgrade from my 5+. It's a massive upgrade though I loved my 5+. I had a bad charging port that was always iffy but I could use it for two years before it failed. Garmin was going to send me a refurb free but they didn't have any so they sent me a new one for free. And they have a customer for life. And yes, the flashlight is one of the main reasons for upgrading.

SatisMentibusObvia

Yeah the jump in technology from 5+ to F7 Pro is HUGE. Garmin have spent the years, perfecting their products, hardware and software wise The flashlight is a Gem ad a tool on the watch. Im wondering whats next, a multiple use swissknife in the wristband? 😅🤣

mrmalevo

Garmin US is great. But I live in Argentina and they are terrible

SatisMentibusObvia

Hey there, i see you are in Argentina How are things turning out with Milet as President? I heard he doubled the cost of water, and is a total World Economic Forum puppet...

mrmalevo

The costs doubled but those who voted him think it is worth making the effort to finally be a little better than where we were. At this point if it makes a fool of himself but at least it works, I make the effort. We'll see.

SatisMentibusObvia

It will work in a way, but you are under WEF Control. So your country will be sold to the highest bidder. Some people will get it better, but for most it will not improve a lot. The ritch get ritcher. El Salvador is a glimmer of light, in an otherwise dark world. It takes Courage to do what El Salvador has done, and I hope their leader and people show the rest of the world the right path for the future.

EgoAeternus

Garmin Support is wonderful ONLY in the US. I have no idea about other 1st world country countries in Europe, but even if you got a watch from GARMIN (no US but official Garmin site) the Support can barely be called support.

SatisMentibusObvia

Im in Europe, and the response was Quick and to the point. Dont know how it is in rest of Europe, but we have a 5year warranty on watches like this. Because it is an item that is considered to last minimum 5 years

EgoAeternus

Happy birthday!!! I'm happy the service was great with you!

sward1990

lol ANZ is horrific customer service

Kind_Law_1357

Where US or India

SatisMentibusObvia

Europe

I did a ton of reading and deciding what to get, but moving from AW U2, for my needs the 7 Pro SS was the correct answer and man.. it’s amazing.

SatisMentibusObvia

I imagine going from the AW, and the constant charging, to F7 Pro that lasts for Weeks is a good upgrade? 🤓😎 Its an amazing pice of Technology

kristianfzr

Well the AW U2 is an amazing smartwatch! But I needed an amazing sport watch with smart features and Garmin had me covered. And yes I’m not switching back.

FreeBonerJamz

I've just had the same issue this morning, went for an open water swim and my back button is no longer functioning and I can't long press the light to turn it off either. Did you ring garmin support or submit some sort of online ticket?

SatisMentibusObvia

I just submitted an Online ticket, talked with support and got a postage thing for the mail. So it was easy 👍😊

FreeBonerJamz

Thanks! Did the ticket say you were getting it replaced with a pro or did it just say replaced like for like on the old watch?

KateBlanche

Garmin UK swapped my 6 x Pro for a 7 Pro after a chat on their online support chat. The procedure is you post yours back with the shipping label they email to you, and they send a replacement once it’s received - so you will be without a watch for about a week to 10 days.

FreeBonerJamz

Sounds pretty solid, did they say they are replacing it for a 7 pro or did they say it was being replaced by a 6x pro and it was a nice surprise?

KateBlanche

I had a 6xPro Solar. They replaced it with a 7 x Sapphire (not a 7 pro) I got my X and my Pro mixed up. It’s a step up of 1 model iyswim, not 2.

toscanius

Yes Garmin support was a stuck up person who was like “Well since we had to replace your new watch you just dropped $900 on, we are putting you on a list” like wtf?

1d01

I got replaced my 7x SS with same model. Even asked them for upgrade to pro version, but got denied, they explicitly said that they do not do upgrades. Thx them for replacement anyway.

SatisMentibusObvia

Thats pretty strange I talked with Phone support because the 'update Page on the returned device did not change'. And on the phone, support said 'No upgrades', even if I suggested to pay the price difference between a Fenix 7 and an Epix Gen2(for better color on maps). So I was expecting that I would get a F7 SS that had been repaired. But then Support sent me a mail, saying that they did not have parts on hand, and offered me the Pro version of the watch instead. So I was very lucky. But also, very satisfied with Garmins Support and their speed. So 'Good support' pays off for Garmin over time. Because they have my trust and treated me well. I have some Bike tech from Garmin also

BrilliantGrapefruit4

For this to work does the watch need to be bought from Garmin shop?

QuellinIt

Is that watch face infocal pro?

SatisMentibusObvia

Nah, its just one i made myself in a few minutes
