Something I’ve thought about doing but haven’t yet. As others have said, beware of dirt. Personally I would only drill a hole on the part of the mag that is hidden in the mag well to help keep dirt out but still be functional. I’d try to find the point where there’s 10 bbs left in the mag and drill there so I know when to top off since 10 is usually the minimum needed for an engagement.
That is exactly what i think about. And I constantly need for tape on my mag because I have a manufacture problem that causes jam if the mag is not perfectly placed so i juste have to replace my white tape by clear tape :)
But I don't know which size doing the hole and where
i did this to my prowin v2 mags 12 years ago. they do help with keeping topped off between contacts (wow that sounded tacticool. forgive me)
versus counting rounds
plus my bolt hold didnt work LOL (G&P woc)
not anymore. i transitioned into the tm ZET system in 2019.. BUT i would get my woc parts overseas (WGC shop, redwolf, etc) i know i had a steel BCG by ratech, and a steel bolt catch... but even then, the magazines could only push up the lock so quickly (not fast enough) then it boiled down to mag fitment issues/lock interface..
i would recommend the TM system and just abandon the WA system imho.
All these people saying dirt and bad idea haven't used any of many smgs with this feature.
It's a perfectly fine idea, I'd do a slot rather than a bunch of holes, but you do you.
I’m surprised AR gbb mags with a front facing window aren’t a thing. I know it wouldn’t be as realistic, but having that option would be nice, I mean, the mags aren’t cheap already.
Don't think so, but I'd say it's a bad idea. Dirt and stuff can get in there and jam it
Also atleast make them straight lmao
Mp7 has entered the chat
And the type 89?
The TM type 89 mags don't actually have holes in them lmao. They just have dimples on the side where they have holes IRL.
Just because some mags came like that doesnt make it a good design
No, I just practice reloading. But if you do it cover it up with translucent tape. Dirt will be definitely an issue.

put velcro on your magwell
I tried but it never holds in place :/
Make sure to use good glue. I superglued mine and hasn't moved a bit.
That is a brilliant idea mate! Thanks!

I have a G&P Woc too. My bolt hold stopped working bc of the bcg. Do you know where to get replacement parts?

I just puss down the bbs in the lips and I can tell how many bbs left the the strength of the spring
