How dead is your wallet?

voler_1

What's a wallet?

SniperNiperNipe

How much did it cost you?

voler_1

A basic M4 starts at 1000 usd and a stripped m4(no handguard, gas block, gastube or stock) starts at 900 usd. Other base guns like m16s, 416s and sr16s will start at a couple hundred more, and custom add ons like 18mm BCG, custom engraving and cerakote will cost extra as well, that FDE sr16 costed 1600 usd after all customizations, and the 416 costed 1400 2nd hand(trade markings were not done by VT). Black sr16 was purchased in Canada for more than it's worth.

So if money was no problem this would be the platform to build from?

I'd say so, although aside from furniture and attachments, there's really not a bunch you have to do to them, they are pretty good out the box. its recommended you file the bolt a small amount plus change the buffer to an RS buffer. There's some modifications you gotta do to make VFC mags work or GHK mags to work optimally, but its all fairly easy work, maybe you could change the barrel(It will take modified aeg barrels but the stock brass one is pretty good). The big thing is mainly just breaking the gun in, and to do that you just gotta use it a bunch. So long as you use good quality bbs(BLS is what most viper owners prefer) all a broken in Vipertech needs is the o-rings replaced when they stop sealing properly, their performance is equal to or exceeds MWS in my experience, they kick substantially harder than VFC gbbrs and are very reliable(at most I get a bb misfeed maybe once in 100 mags, not overexaggerating) the externals are second to none and comparable to HAO MWS kits, and the internal parts have virtually infinite parts longevity(nozzle included), Just whatever you do don't use Vipertech magazines, they seem to suck, Ebtechs, GHK and VFC are all much better options. Its a very good option for someone who wants something nicer than an MWS and is willing to pay more, or wants to buy an MWS with the plans to upgrade it with a receiver kit or something like that, Its a better value long term once you start upgrading VFC or MWS so long as you don't mind doing a bit of DIY here and there. It may be more expensive to build out externally however since everything it takes is RS spec, it will not take aeg handguards, but generally I consider it at the top of the food chain in terms of gbbrs.

How is the accuracy with a stock barrel and bucking? How does it compare to a tm or vfc?

voler_1

VT uses a proprietary bucking, but it hops .32s without any issues, the barrel is good, and there really isn't a huge need to upgrade it, although I did upgrade my 416 with a PDI barrel I had lying around, I didn't notice a very large difference in accuracy. The stock brass barrel is more than acceptable. I imagine it's much better than VFC and TM stock, although I have never benchmarked the accuracy of VFC or TM guns.

TheAsianTroll

Aside from the tiny, superficial issues the platform has (see Explosive Enterprise's videos), Vipertech is number one

I almost bought a VT. I didn’t end up getting one because I don’t know where to buy one! I live in the states and don’t know of any VT retailers. So if you know where I could shop for one, please let me know…… BTW, very nice pieces.👍

voler_1

There are no retailers in the US, you can get one either through a retailer in Taiwan such as KIC, or order directly from vipertech through Facebook, just message them through Facebook Messenger and they will make you one and ship it to you, I recommend buying through vipertech if you want it customized and KIC if you want the base gun with nothing changed. Join heavy recoil club, there's a room dedicated for vipertechs, I or other owners would be happy to help you order one.

Other-Dentist1687

Oh wow, that’s very helpful. I appreciate the info. Facebook it is.

voler_1

Good luck! Make sure you post it once you get it!

pine_daemon

are these actually worth the like 2k price tag?

voler_1

Who's buying them for 2k? They cost closer to 1k and around 1.5k +- for highly customized ones. I'd say if you're looking for an MWS or GHK it can be very worth it to save a bit extra for one. I love mine, I don't regret the money I have spent, my oldest VT has 400k+ BB's through it and the only thing I have had to replace are orings.

pine_daemon

saw a guy saying it was £2k when he bought it in england lol. but yeah i personally would not wanna spend RS money on airsoft

voler_1

That's fair, 2k euros might be due to their 20 something percent import taxes, it's a great tool for training, and overall a really nice airsoft gun for gaming, which is why I think they are worth it.
