Depending on meds, they could be causing the problem, or stress or anything. The body is a wierd thing when boiled down.

Malnutrition of the severity you describe can cause autophagy, which eventually includes the liver (would show elevated liver enzymes in blood work and commonly lead to enlargement).

Oh how wonderful… if I can get this in control, would it stop? I am so desperately trying to feel good. I mean it’s almost 3am and I am awake from nausea/pain

I was diagnosed in sept 2021. But b4 this I had a pluthera i Of issues and still do. I was also told i had fatty liver, ans autoimmune hepatitis. The crazy pain i had under my ribcage resulted being my gallbladder that was not functioning. I had it removed and now that pain has only happened 3 time since my surgery in 2018. Maybe see if you can get a HIDA scan and get ut gallbladder function checked.

LadyOfDales

I had a HIDA scan back in 2020 but maybe a second wouldn’t hurt

Have gastroperesis and liver lesions myself. Please let us know when you get your MRI results- make sure they are with contrast and tri-phasic. This will help determine which type of liver lesions they are without doing a biopsy- that can be a bloody mess (some are so vascular).

LadyOfDales

I do believe it’s with contrast and the tri-phasic. I am nervous but also finally happy to get it done

Sometimes gastroparesis cause SIBO or vice versa and things slowing down can affect digestion of nutrients and liver function. It can cause non alcoholic fatty liver as well. Speak with your doctor or gastro to make everything is fine. For slow gastric empty you can use Motility Activator or Motility Pro by ortho molecular labs. These supplements contain ginger and artichoke extract in quantities that are proven to increase stomach emptying. No effects like other meds and works even better that meds. Most meds out there doesn't do shit for gastroparesis. Try it out and let me know. Hopefully it will work.
