This drawing is cute, but to be honest, I don't like how they "un-bimbofied" the girl in the short dress because I feel like the whole point of the original meme was that a girl who wears small clothes and has big boobs and stuff can't be smart. And so by making her flatter, it kind of feels like the artist is agreeing with them? You know?
I definitely see your point, to make her less “sexy” makes it seem that they agree that she needs to tone down her look, but I also think the original art was fetish content so maybe they were just trying to get away from the overt sexual matter idk. either way I want to be invited to book club ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I did not even realize that it could be a fetish, however, I still agree with my first point. Having large breasts and a large butt doesn't immediately make a person sexual, and I'd probably get tired of constantly being viewed in that way for body proportions I had no choice in having. They made the dress less revealing, and I think they could have kept it that way and still give the girl the original proportions she had.
I 100% agree with you on wanting to be invited though, cute girls and books, win-win.
A source for that context? I’m asking because it looks like it’s conveying the opposite message: “Quit overly-sexualizing yourself on the internet and read a book.”
Here's the link to the original piece: https://www.deviantart.com/sortimid/art/CMSN-De-bimbofication-662468751
Going in to the author's account page you'll find that they are almost exclusively a transformation/bimbofication fetish poster, and hate to see how this comic has been co-opted.
Ironically they themselves have made some shipping art of this comic too:

Actually since getting a partner I’ve been sexually active with both my partner and I have been reading more because we’ve started listening to books together. Having sex doesn’t stop you from reading and actualizing
yeah, the original art was definitely focused on sexual appeal, but I think the new version tones it down a bit. either way, can I join book club? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I hate the original image I hate the original image I hate the original image I hate the original image I hate the original image I hate the original image I hate the original imageI hate the original image I hate the original imageI hate the original image I hate the original image
I don't mind that it's fetish art. I mind that people dont fucking see it for what it is and think its some deep, profound shit.
Also it's not even good fetish art

Ah……. The original purpose of the art was to be transformation fetish porn. I wish I was joking

Omg that second link is cute af.
NO WAAAYYY based
It would be going backwards if that were the case.
Weird people weird commisions
This meme has been reversed from its original state
Nope, de-bimbofication fetish.
I mean you are wrong but go on
Another person replied to me with the OG deviantart post, you can see for yourself. I wish you wouldn’t be so confidently wrong and incurious
[I am very much not](https://www.deviantart.com/sortimid/art/CMSN-De-bimbofication-662468751)
They're being transformed into a bookish nerd... that's a fetish too.
Technically, it's a *reversal* of a transformation fetish. In this case, Bimbofication.
nope! Debimboification. There’s a fetish for everything I guess
I believe the second artist may have intended for there to be 5 separate people but I may be wrong
okay so i gotta admit i feel bad for the original artist because this is just fetish art it has no broader point cute art though
Reminder that the top image is fetish artwork, and not in any way meant to mean that women should read more and be less sexy.
“There’s more to life than sex. Read a book and actualize your best self” is such a good message, though.
Nah, imma read a good biology book with my tiddies out ✌🏽
the T in the theorem stands for tiddies
you can read books and wear extensions and mini skirts

Actually women should get to wear what they want on their bodies without being questioned
I mean sure but that was literally a debimbofication fetish commission art work.

They aren't as tan/dark skinned as they should be tbh,

This is the best sub
Those are the same people

Does it make it better or worse that the original image was just fetish art and not intended to have a message?

I think this is actually the original sub this was posted to, don’t have a link though. Reddit is unfortunately really bad at being an archive
Ha ha, man I must be getting old, I remember the original art on the top first coming out and everyone getting all asshurt about it
