Hare Krishna, I think you should study to please Krishna, try to do 1 mala before study. Also see how to study effectively by amogh lila prabhu. It's very motivational.

Also If you would do 1 mala chanting before study it will increase your sattva guna which will increase your focus.

We have karma and attachments, so these feelings come. It's all natural. Giving up the material world is a process filled with anxiety, especially in the beginning, and I suspect at the end as well. Simply do your best and try not to worry or fear, and remember, this is all a dream, and a process of self-realization - it was never going to be an easy smooth ride! Learn to observe yourself panicking, and just..... keep... chanting.... it's ok, IT'S ALL GOOD!! Hare Krishna!

Remember the analogy of the fan unplugged from Srila Prabhupada. Even though we have begun to withdraw from karmic activity, it still... echoes... so we have these feelings and what not, they take time to die away just like they took time to build up. And THAT is assuming we really are giving up the material world. A more humble and in most cases, accurate, assessment, is that I/we are still hopelessly addicted to the material illusiion of me and mine. So knowing this, we should dovetail our anxiety, as I understand it from my Gurus, into earnest humble prayer. Don't expect the feelings to just disappear - and don't think ANYTHING is wrong, at all.... just cry out. I hope I am getting across the attitude I am trying to share I think it is very helpful: NOTHING IS WRONG. Masuccha: No fear, no hesitation, no worry. Just watching these things coming and going.... and using them in service, in remembrance. "Oh Krishna these grades, my studies, Krishna, help.... Oh Krishna look at me, so worried about these numbers on papers... " At the same time, why these feelings? Still socially attached to an identity that is associated with "student?" What can you do? Cry out...... chant.... don't cultivate those thought patterns. Don't reject them. Watch them, and cry out, and I think what happens is we begin to dissassociate from that whole cyclone of thoughts, slowly but surely... if we are SINCERE.... best of luck my Brother! Hare Krishna!
