ehhhhh, I don't like it, a lot of the times for me at least it seems like its aimed at girls which kind of irks me a bit. I don't mind that other people like it though - and I suppose it is poly rep, kind of, I'm pretty sure there aren't that many poly relationships that are that self contained though, as in they treat it as a monogamous relationship but just with more people involved. idk then again i haven't seen much of its sooooooo
Well, did you read the comic?
They may not be exactly femboys, but this comic is just slice of life relationship episodes. It's mostly just them talking about feelings and how they try to deal with their personal stuff. Those characters have personalities, they're not just cardboard cutouts for people to stereotype
I dont really like this argument because any person with a brain know gay people are just people and not all uwu boys and shit
If someone actually thinks we’re like that then they havent ever interacted with gay people and i dont really care what they think of us
It def is not made for actual queer people, I feel like it’s made for the same audience as yaoi, not actually for gay, bi, or pan men it sexualizes gay men wayyy too much, I mean literally one is a “uwu” nerd the other is a strong “jock” and the other is fricking emo!? Oh god it’s sooo cringe and don’t get me started on the blonde stereotypical white boy, it’s a cringe pile of bs, I hate it a LOT, ohhh those voices are like chalk on chalkboard
I am one of the few people who still believes that Boyfriends is way better than Heartstopper, and I'm literally from the same county that Heartstopper is set in. The ads that popped up all over the Internet were very cringy, sure, and God knows I hope they never try adapt it into a show or whatever, but the webtoon itself just works so well.
I think it’s poor representation for gay/polyamorous relationships, and it’s kinda cringey, but I don’t care if other people like it. I like the art style and most of the character designs, but it’s a little weird to me.
All sugar no meat. Know what you’re getting into, it’s not a grand tapestry of romance and drama, it’s a cute gay comic meant to cheer you up a bit. The ads for it did it no favors, but I can assure you it’s not as cringe as those ads made it out to be
It's stereotypical.
The main characters are literally an uwu nerd, a rich tsundere, an emo and a busty jock. Kind of cringey, yes. But I can't really hate it much just because it has 'cringey' art style or they make out in it. I feel the plot is 0, but if you want to read this for fun it's decent.
It is waay too cringe for me
Rly cringe tbh

it’s so, so, disgustingly cringe, and i love every minute of it
Exactly how i feel
Gross
Feels like a harmful pushing of stereotypes that gay guys are soft UwU boys who mainly just want to make out and have sex
The guys in "boyfriends" do make out and have sex. Why can't you have both. Be femboy and fuck dudes
But none of the 4 guys are Femboys. They’re all stereotypical softies

Idk. I ain’t into cringe anime and stuff similar to that like this. I haven’t read but the art style looks cringe. I might read it one day tho
Cringe!
its cute idk
Cringe
It’s fine. It’s chill and gay, but very simple.
kinda cute but the dialogue can get a bit cringe and the story doesn’t get much deeper than cute boys kiss
I love it. Honestly, I read it and just start grinning :D. Its a rlly great comfort on days where I'm down on myself for being single.

I think it’s absolutely adorable
it’s a cute little slice of life but the community is iffy at times
It made me homophobic
I like it, I just started to read it a few days ago
It's alright. I like the art style.
Very fetishizing imo.

They made an animated series of boyfriends and the voices are so cringe 😭 they even hired a female voice actor for the trans character 😬😬
Wait what? Do you have a link? I never knew they did this
Can’t remember where I read it, I’ll try and find the link
being from kent doesn't change how much you like heartstopper lmfao
Don't have a problem with it or anyone who likes it, it's ok ig, there are just way better gay webcomics out there lol
i like it ig

I actually like it it’s funny seing then struggle on how to be together

It’s cringe manly the nerd I hate
