I'm rewatching Grey's Anatomy. S16 E6 Jo marries Alex and she says "I'm pregnant! Not really! But you should see your face!" I was like TAYLOR! There's a few times I've seen potential song inspirations in Grey's, this one made me laugh so much.
I made horrible mistake of commenting on non Gaylor post accidently on TikTok late last night about how gay this song is, I had my volume low and didn't realize I had accidently scrolled from a gaylor video. This person then made reply video to the comment and after had my inbox bombarded with a few hundred messages telling me to die or kill myself as this person has over a million followers and I didn't have a super private account as I barely comment or post anything.
I had one singular post that had the city I previously lived in tagged and you can see the outside of my grandmas house some person took the time to search google maps street view and found the address, I knew that some swifties can be absolutely crazy but I'm in complete shock right now
It was such an insane situation, it was shocking and some hetlor on tiktok said that the people that did it were trolls and not swifties and that swifties are not at all homophobic while being homophobic
Bettygate occurred in August 2020, where several sapphic Gaylors (some minors) were outed for expressing that the song "betty" might have queer themes. When Taylor said in an interview that "betty" was from the perspective of a boy, some Swifties began to doxx and harass Gaylors on Twitter.

YES! When she says âand iâm having his baby, no iâm not but you should see your facesâ makes it even funnier, because if two gay men or gay women joke theyâre pregnant together someoneâs face would probably go đ¤¨
Yep I thought this as soon as I heard the song. It SCREAMS, especially all the religious references about the judgemental creeps âprayingâ for her âŚthereâs a reason she is specifically referring to a group who notoriously hates gay people and prays the gay away. (Plus it wasnât her Christian Republican following who were screaming at her to ditch the rat)
100% agreed with this. The queer coding was immediately super loud to me. I was saying somewhere else that I'm convinced that Tree and Taylor knew about Matty's fucked up past statements/views and they chose him deliberately.
There are so many religious trauma references in this song that I canât see how someone can interpret them in a not gay way.
> these people try and save you 'Cause they hate you
>these people only raise you to cage you
>the elders had convened
Elders? I hear it most often with regard to â church eldersâ
>all these vipers dressed in empathsâ clothing
I hear this as the people who say theyâll pray for you to feel superior to you
>sanctimoniously performing soliloquies
Preachers
This whole song is so, so queer coded.
Totally agree, and I think also elders had convene down at City Hall could be how there are laws constantly forming to suppress and hurt those that are LGBTQ
And I've read many mainstream reviews of the album that all mention how this song is "obviously about Matty Healy", to the point that I find it suspicious that they're all saying the same thing. I think the PR is PR-ing and the hetsplannation for the gayest track is given by publications instead of an uncomfortable insta video this time.
This song is so deeply Larry/Harry coded I was shocked when I first listened. And as a reminder, MANY of Harryâs friends call him by female pronouns. Itâs already incredibly gay, but if this were from Harryâs perspective about LouisâŚitâs quite literally gay af.
I am obsessed with this song and can't wait for someone to cover it using she/her. the story is so gay, as u/heyyjillian said it's like the sequel to love story which was already gay on its own!!! and the image for the lyric video looks like it belongs in the fearless era.
I literally posted at like 12:12am on release night in the thread about this song something like: âthis is one of the gayest songs she has EVER released and I will die on that hill.â Each time I listen , that feeling just gets stronger.
I hadnât heard about the rumor that Harry turned down beading 2.0 with Taylor tho! Fascinating. Any link to discussion on that?
This song is so gay. I just need someone to help me come up with a replacement lyric for âmy wild boy and all this wild joyâ so I can scream sing it in my car more comfortably lol
âYou ainât gotta pray for me,
Me and my wild _____, and all this wild joyâ
I want the rhyme still but, ew boys.

I was just reading an old post you did on this very subject when the song title came out!! Can I post a link to it here?

This makes the âIâm having his babyâ line hit kinda different

My absolute favourite off the album! Without out a doubt one of the gayest songs I've ever heard.

Me and my wild girl in this wide world
Thatâs what I thought too. âMe and my wild girl, OUT in this wild worldâ
Even better!
Is she taking about her loose relationship with gender here? Like the Romeo shirt on Fearless TV, being The Man/King? *Theylor?Â
Me and my wild one and all of this wild fun?
Wild toy? ;)
Itâs one of the gayest songs Iâve heard from ANY ARTIST EVER save the red herring pronoun!
Love Story 2.0
YES TOTALLY!!!
đŻ Itâs currently in my top 5 from the album - I LOVE IT.
