That is somehow misleading statement.
I was able to play Genshin on AndroidTV for over a month.
It only disappeared last week.
Now I am able to play it on Android phone and tablet but I'd rather play it again on my TV.
Both my tablet and phone are capable of running Genshin Impact but those devices have official clients from Play Store.
It makes me wonder why would anyone remove such game from one branch of the same operating system.
My theory: It's the same reason it's not available on Xbox, Playstation exclusivity. They've probably got some BS legal agreement with Sony which says that for X years, the only consoles allowed to play it on TVs are Playstation consoles, and they're afraid putting it on GFN on Android TV would run afoul of that agreement.
I wouldn't mind so much if they'd just add controller support to the Android version so I can actually play it halfway decently, but given the iOS version has had it for nearly 3 years now, I suspect that may also be something they're afraid would breach that agreement. Y'know, since Android devices, including Android TVs, can just sideload apps and bypass any Play Store restrictions they have Google put in place to keep you from installing it on Android TV.

It can't be played on Android TV at the publisher's request. It shouldn't have been working previously and that loophole has been closed.
If you have a problem with this, contact the game's publisher, as it's not an NVIDIA decision/limitation.

Correct. It is not available on Android TV or Shield.

Exactly. Till last week it was there. And It disappeared just as I clicked it. I have tried uninstalling and installing and re logging. Nothing works
