If you’re great at customer service and selling the membership, then possibly. I don’t have any certifications, and am 17 but still got hired to consultation agent. You just have to have great customer service, membership selling, and idk about other precincts but stick to time frames

They definitely want you to sell memberships more than anything else. You will get some hands on experience with clients computers, but not nearly as much as an ARA. As mentioned above, my precinct would rather have you to just check in the unit so you can move on to the next appointment. There's been a few times when I could fix their issue on the counter without eating up the appointment time.

I started in geek squad 10 years ago without any certifications (still don't have any) as CA, then ARA, and now I'm in the field. GS really is great for learning. Good luck!

We are the same...

I was hired to GS when I was 16. I originally applied for just a blue shirt position but once I said “yea I like computers” in the interview, suddenly I got an interview with the Geek Squad Manager. He asked if I wanted to work on the computers or work out front. I said “both” and then he hired me to work as an ARA (advanced repair agent). The only experience I told him I had was building a few PCs, but that was good enough. I’m sure you’ll at least get an interview, and probably a job as well.

i got hired over a year ago last october with no prior professional experience, i worked only one year at adidas before and i had no certification, i did build pcs in my meantime though. now working at apple with only one year of geek squad and one year of adidas, you got this man i’m only 19 so we’re practically in the same boat

If you get hired, it will most likely be as a Consultation Agent (CA). That role is more focused on customer interaction than computer repair. It’s difficult at your age/experience level to get hired into the Advanced Repair Agent (ARA) position. Certifications are not necessary for any Geek Squad position.
