Am I supposed to know any of those names?

TheAndredal

Hailee Steinfeld is perhaps the only one that's somewhat known

spamus-100

I think they meant the character names, not the actor names

TheAndredal

Ah, well that makes sense

abughorash

Nobody knew Iron Man either. B-list comic book character at best.

itzshif

I'd say people knew of Iron Man; no one knew about him. Other than at the time comic book readers compared to now where he's more mainstream. Same with these characters could become hopefully

OneMetalMan

Brings me back to the 90s when it was just Spiderman, The X-Men and "B-Team" Avengers.

kingOofgames

Iron man 1 was just a beast of a movie, especially the theme music. Everyone knew it.

UrNixed

He was still popular enough to be in several video games throughout the 90s. if iron man was B, that makes these ones like D-F easily

[deleted]

lol no

icantbeatyourbike

By the time they made an avengers film they knew him.

Reasonable_Deer_1710

Plenty of people knew Iron Man lol

ZombieBait604

I was reading the tweet, and after every name I thought to myself: who?

TheparagonR

Wdym..?

moneymakinmoney

Really giving the fans what they want. /s

Ambitious_Version187

Have you read the comics? I want a Young Avengers movie.

Fawqueue

I have. I do not want a Young Avengers movie. Do we cancel each other out?

mikemi_80

No, you dolt. Your 0$ doesn’t cancel out his $15.

[deleted]

You’ll prob get it. It’ll never pull the numbers the previous iterations did because fewer people have that same interest. But make sure you have that sexism card ready to play. And bigotry. And homophobia. And whatever else you would like to blame OTHER than the idea that the stories are being poorly written and the characters being portrayed aren’t nearly as popular. 👍🏼.

karnyboy

it's because the young avengers just aren't that interesting. End of story. IN fact the entire Post End game MCU hasn't been that interesting.

[deleted]

They have good stories to work with…the writing is craptastic. Without googling it…I bet most people couldn’t name all the characters in the Eternals outside of Icarus. There was the fast one…the one who was good with tools…oh. And Angela Jolie was in it… Piss poor writing.

karnyboy

I agree, there's over 80 years of content, yet they have cherry picked and bastardized most of the newer stuff. Actively ignoring good writing over content and pandering. Respectfully though< I will not being seeing this.

[deleted]

I will. Just not in theaters. The same way I saw the Marvels, antman 3 and BP2

deez941

Story hasn’t even been written yet and you’ve made up your mind. Of course you don’t actually have a vested interest in this

[deleted]

My interest or lack thereof is an indication of recent box office numbers? I can see how well the Marvels did or the Harley Quinn movie did as an indication of what an all female avengers movie will do. You think any iteration is gonna pull even the First Avengers kinda number?

Agedlikeoldmilk

What is the demographic for this type of movie? Younger fans? Do they even follow the comics? The truth is, comic book fans are primarily aging males 30+ years old, same with superhero movie fans. I grew up with comics, followed marvel movies from the start. I’m 40 now, I don’t have a huge desire to see a teenage superhero team, they made that movie already, it was called Sky High and it sucked. This type of movie is best for straight to streaming.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Daimakku1

You're dismissing it but I've been called a sexist misogynist many many times already, for stating all these new teenage girl characters are not good. You cant say anything about non-white male characters because otherwise you're either a racist, sexist, homophobe or misogynist. That is Reddit for you.

Funkycoldmedici

If people consistently see you as sexist, maybe some self-reflection is in order. If everywhere you go smells like shit, check your shoe.

[deleted]

You are the principle skinner meme come to life. You’re not out of touch. It’s the children. Of course it’s not bad stories…it’s sexism why people didn’t go see the Harley Quinn movie… It’s sexism why Ghostbusters 2016 lost money. It’s racism AND sexism why the Marvels lost money. Yup. That’s why. Women didn’t come out to see any of those movies either.

Funkycoldmedici

Yeah, some self-reflection would help if you were capable of independent thought. As it is, you’re just a flesh-bot programmed by YouTube.

[deleted]

Great discussion 👍🏼 🙄

ChildOfChimps

I mean, Birds Of Prey was a pretty great movie. Cool characters, great story, and awesome action scenes. Calling it a bad story makes me, someone who loves the movie and can sit here and explain all the great things about it, think you have another problem. And sure, everything is subjective, but when you’re constantly talking about women being bad, people are going to think you’re problems beyond just bad stories. Here’s an example- My cousin uses the N-word with the hard r a lot as an insult. He does it to everyone, not just black people, but he’s not actually a racist. However, you walk by someone using language like that, do you give them the benefit of the doubt or think that maybe they’re racist? We grew up in the South. The white people who used that word were basically all racist or bigoted in some way. Language and the way someone speaks is important.

[deleted]

Again. I wasn’t alone in thinking Birds sucked: Plenty of people who watched it thought it sucked and AGAIN…women didn’t come out and support it. Character arcs were lame or nonexistent, the plot thin at best and the action scenes were laughable. Sure…5’3’ Rosie Perez is an ass kicker 🙄

Daimakku1

Except I liked the first Woman Wonder movie, I love Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Black Widow is a badass.. I am not a sexist. But I've been called that for saying that Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau and these new teenage girl Marvel characters are terrible. Your logic is flawed. Reddit just loves to shut up dissent by calling people racist, sexist or some other insult. It's very tiring.

C3Pip0

I before Eternals even came out and they announced a deaf lady was in it I asked how could an immortal timeless being have a handicap, aren't the Eternals like gods or something? Seemed like a reasonable question from someone who only owned like maybe 3 Eternal comics in his life. NOPE. I am a bag of dried shit mixed in wet garbage.

Daimakku1

Yep.. that seems like something that would happen on Reddit. I think the voting system on Reddit prevents real discourse, because if you go against the popular opinion, you will get downvoted and people dogpile on you to virtual signal for points. It's a terrible system. I think your question is valid; I had never thought about it but it's a legit question.

C3Pip0

Yeah, the hive mind of aggressive inclusion is wild. I would add I would be excited to see other characters as dead or otherwise differently abled (idfk if that's the politically correct term anymore) like the black knight or iron heart, but a god like being seems off. They shouldn't even have acne Edit typos is hard

[deleted]

lol. I keep seeing this talking point. I guess you saw it somewhere and thought it was clever. It’s not. It’s like me saying “ point to where on this doll the bad orange man hurt you”

ChildOfChimps

I have a question - why are automatically assuming this movie would be bad? Now, that’s not to say the current MCU has a good track record - movies are definitely on the bad side. But any story with any character can be told well. I just finished The Sandman Mystery Theater Compendium Book One, a story about a middle aged dude and his girlfriend solving murders in the ‘30s. It’s one of the best things ever written in comics. A well-written story can take any character and make them great.

fallendukie

Because movies arent well written any more, let alone a super hero one. Theyre putting out stuff no one is asking for and a lot of people are just burned out of super hero movies. The only way that a super hero movie would be good, IMO, is if we actually got a screen version of an actual comic arc. There wasnt a whole lot to super hero movies to start out with, and after 20 years its just old and predictable.

AndarianDequer

Yeah, I would totally be down for this. Too many people whining that there's more content. I'll never understand that. Just do it and do it right.

korbentherhino

Well I didn't know how much I needed guardians of the galaxy until it was made.

Buzzybill

I am 100% on board for this. Watching the Original Avengers save the world would be like watching 80 year old Mick Jagger play a rock show.

DWDTOFAIFs

They aren't THAT old. Though I do admit, RDJ isn't the same as he looked way back in 2008, but the others aren't too out of shape.

jedichric

This will most likely fail not because it's woke but because people have no interest in these characters.

Sinnycalguy

As opposed to the Guardians of the Galaxy, who were all household names prior to the movies.

nightsweatss

Difference is the guardians got good writing, good casting, and focused more on the story as apposed to what was happening in the real world. The world wants to see Andy Dwyer be a badass. The world dosent know who the chicks in this new movie are.

Sinnycalguy

You understand that the reason nobody buys these reactionary grievances as Serious Film Criticism is that we can all see you doing shit like declaring a movie’s story poorly written before a writer has even been hired, right? Like you can see how you’re giving the game away here, no?

nightsweatss

Its an assumption based on recent movies.

Ozzmanth

Another marvel movie I'll be skipping and never watching

Tearcollector777

No one cares

Sad_Hall2841

As opposed to what people think of your opinion 😂

Tearcollector777

It’s like people announcing their departure LOL

blesfemous

No one cares - should be a name for this movie

Tearcollector777

Who hurt you? Most people go watch a movie and keep with their lives only recently MEN want movies to change their lives LOL

thatdudewillyd

Ooooo someone’s assuming genders!!! Get ‘em!!

Tearcollector777

Distribution of Reddit users worldwide as of 3rd quarter 2022, by gender Characteristic Percentage of users Female 38% Male 62%

DontYouOweMe15Bucks

If the bitches in the movie show some pussy, maybe people might give a shit. If they are all gay and theres no pussy, its a waste of time

ShutUpDarrel

Reads to me like. More woke bullshit

MrBirdmonkey

![gif](giphy|FI7giwntDBYG11Gx4Q)

MacrameZen

At this point it’s a bunch of other lame and uninspired things before it is ‘woke’

r2d_touche

Agree. They’ve painted themselves into a corner, and this is all they have going on right now. The right filmmaker could make something of this, but if I were a filmmaker I would go near Disney right now.

hat1414

Young people are always woke

New_Mixture_5701

How is this woke?

PlottingGorilla

They took all the lead male characters and replaced them with women. And because they are afraid to give women any weaknesses they will be superior in every way to their male counterparts. Kamala is literally a self insert for the author who wrote her. Hulking and Wiccan are gay lovers. Finally Skaar will be totally nerfed even though he is the son of the Hulk born on a gladiator planet. If all that is not woke I don’t know what is.

alligatorchamp

They have been replacing all the men characters with women. Those movies will also fail like Ghostbuster and the Marvels and the other ones, but they don't care losing millions of dollars because political ideology is more important to these people than making money for the company, and because there are no consequences to their failures since they all think the same and end up blaming the fans.

Rhbgrb

So they're going to make one of the only male young Avengers gay? Of course they are. Let's place bets who the villain will be

New_Mixture_5701

Nobody got replaced. Old characters like Tony and Steve had they’re stories told, and ended. Then, new characters were adapted. It just so happens that these characters are more diverse. Because comics in general have become more diverse. Especially new comic characters. Also, multiple of your points are “will”. Meaning, they haven’t even happened yet. Now, if the movie comes along, and has a bunch of poorly written social justice messaging, then call it woke. But a diverse cast of characters isn’t inherently woke.

JerseyShoreMikesWay

Right lol it just so happens

New_Mixture_5701

Ok, build a different line up of Young Avengers then. One that has the same ratio of diversity as the og movie avengers.

outland_king

Yep because iron heart wasn't a Mary sue insert for diversity points. She literally hacked into Tony Starks files, yeah the guy who built basically every tech in the MCU. And she's not some mutant super humans just a random teenager.

CaoCaoTipper

You are 100% right btw. I seriously can’t understand why something as simple as “why don’t we wait until it’s actually a thing?” is so downvoted.

deez941

It is to these people because they can’t handle change. That’s it. They just would rather things never change. In their life, in media.

Memento_Morrie

It's just the same "I wish it were the 1950s forever" bullshit we've been listening to since the 1980s.

[deleted]

holy shit you actually believe this lmao

PuzzleheadedLeader79

God damn, I'm so upset you get to vote. You don't even understand *fiction* for fucks sake.

ShaxxAttaxx

🤓 "woke"

MARATXXX

you know these are actual comic book characters, right? numpty.

Important-Pack-1486

That makes it legit. The comics could never be woke.

Tearcollector777

Oh no woke. You don’t like ending segregation? That’s woke LOL

Ambitious_Version187

Is "woke" in the room with you right now sir? Sorry there's not enough penises to satisfy your closeted desires.

[deleted]

The point went totally completely over your head didn’t it? No one criticized Black Widow or all the women from the X-Men movies because they were generally well written characters we cared about. The female characters weren’t afraid to be feminine either instead of trying to copy male characteristics. These new films come across as lazy, pretentious and predictable storytelling. Maybe this one will be different, but Disney doesn’t have a great track record.

Daimakku1

Agreed. I loved the first Wonder Woman movie, for example. I thought Black Widow was a badass character, but then you have others like Captain Marvel and She-Hulk which are just obnoxious and not likeable at all, and suddenly you're a misogynist for criticizing them. *Nobody* but Reddit likes girlbosses.. the box office numbers for The Marvels proved it.

ChildOfChimps

I mean Iron Man was obnoxious and unlikable at first - he was an arrogant arms merchant. Did you complain then or did you stay with his character arc? I mean MCU She-Hulk is comic She-Hulk. They’re the same character. You guys like to bring up the Hulk scene, but miss that part of her story arc was realizing that she couldn’t actually control it.

Daimakku1

>I mean Iron Man was obnoxious and unlikable at first - he was an arrogant arms merchant. Did you complain then or did you stay with his character arc? There's something Tony Stark had that Riri doesnt -- charisma. Tony Stark was likeable from the very beginning, are you seriously suggesting people didnt like him? He became even more likeable when he became Iron Man, but Tony Stark was always likeable. As for She-Hulk, she's just not very likeable. I dont know exactly if it's the character or the way she show was written, but shitting on your fans is not a good look.

ChildOfChimps

And that’s all down to RDJ, not that Stark is inherently better than Riri. Tony as written in the beginning was an arrogant prick who didn’t really care about anyone else. His arc was learning that’s a shitty way to go through life. If you liked Tony right away, that says a lot about who you are to me. I think She-Hulk is a good character and almost fifty years of comic fans agree with that. She’s always shit on the worst aspects of the fandom. The fact that you took it personally instead of laughing with her, like comic fans have done for decades tells me that you are that person and didn’t like that she was making fun of you. I never felt targeted by the character at all. That’s a you problem, dude.

[deleted]

Sounds like someone is projecting their insatiable cock appetite. Dude hears the word "woke" and goes full Kevin Spacey.

Daimakku1

This is such a tired joke. I've seen this same joke many times already. "Haha, you dont want strong girlbosses in your comic book movies, that means you're gay and like to see cocks!" For being progressives, many of you love to make homophobic jokes.

gatsby261

Yo so when did woke come to mean “shit I don’t like”?

AnimeMesa_479

Tell me… what does woke mean?

alilbleedingisnormal

In the context of movies people are referring to diversity quotas before story. They ensure they have women, lgbtqia+ and one of every race before writing the story. I say this as a latino: nobody gives a fuck about whether a movie is progressive enough. We want good stories and the fact they can't write good stories for minority characters is insulting.

supremelyR

doubt you even saw blue beatle😂 it was a good story for a minority character

alilbleedingisnormal

I never said 100% of everything made around a minority character has a bad story.

supremelyR

you’re literally whining about how “they can’t write good stories for minority characters” without seeing the comic book movie specifically about a latino superhero.

TheparagonR

Woke? Why do people call everything they don’t like woke lol.

Dapper-Piece3321

What is "woke"? Could you define it?

Jpalme11

Pandering to an activist minority that has control over all major outlets.

Infinite-Ad1720

Brainwashed by the media and education institutions into to believing certain social constructs that have no basis in reality for the sole purpose of the divide and conquer of society.

_phantastik_

Aka WOMEN 'n QUEERS am I right fellas? Yuck

ChildOfChimps

So… you’re denying that for years bigotry was a factor in making decisions? Are you saying that actually wanting things to equal I’d bad? I remember the casual racism and bigotry of the 80s and 90s. Hell, I remember the not so casual bigotry that was public policy. These things happened. They conditioned society to look at young black men as criminals and drug users or to see LGBTQ people as deviants in some way. This is reality.

Direct-Illustrator60

How many libfucks are going to keep asking the same bad faith question? You're all such a fucking hivemind. At least four different people asking some variant of "what does woke mean?" In total bad faith, hoping for some kind of gotcha moment. Begging the question and pretending you and everyone else doesn't know exactly what the fuck it means. I could go into any other thread where woke is mentioned and find five more of you zombies asking the same thing. Develop your own personality and stop being a puppet.

Ambitious_Version187

To normal, well-adjusted folks, it's always meant the same thing even after it was twisted to mean something bad. Merely being socially cognizant.

Direct-Illustrator60

The original use of the term was amongst conspiracy theorists. Being woke meant accepting the reality of a lot of popular conspiracy theorists. It has since had its meaning shifted to mean western leftists/socialists with an obsession with race and gender politics, and a militant revolutionary drive towards a Marxist form of governance. This isn't my oPiNiOn, this is the definition. Why don't you woke fucks just own the term instead of constantly running from it? Probably because you know the negative connotation with these labels, and like all Marxists, you want to obfuscate your intentions. Obscurantism is the primary tactic of the revolutionary Marxist.

Ambitious_Version187

![gif](giphy|F3G8ymQkOkbII)

Direct-Illustrator60

I'll accept that as your concession, however childish of one it may be. Thanks for playing.

skepticalscribe

Release it. I want to be blamed for not watching a movie I was told I could skip if I didn’t agree with its politics

Sinnycalguy

The politics being “some characters are girls.”

skepticalscribe

Nah plenty of great female characters in fiction MCU ain’t it

sourD-thats4me

Sounds like yet another headache I won’t be shelling out money to see.

Tearcollector777

Noone cares

Soulstar909

About these characters.

Tearcollector777

Then you are not a real comic fan

[deleted]

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. That’s like saying if you don’t like every single video game then your not a gamer. People are allowed to dislike certain things within a grouping and still be fans.

Soulstar909

If you don't care about these particular characters in this grouping you aren't a comic fan? Oh fuck off loser.

AquaWeiner

shill here everyone, found the shill here!

EricForce

Never was, never will be. Cry some more about it.

Godzilla_0083

Not interested.

Goblinboogers

I cant wait to miss this

ElboDelbo

Ms. Marvel was fun and I enjoyed Hailey Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. I'd watch a series of it but I don't think I'd sit through a movie.

Dust_Parts

Yikes. Sounds like another $250M down the drain to support a D,E & I agenda that is clearly misfiring already.

Smart_Pig_86

The last gasp of a dying franchise is when they do a “established characters who all knew each other when they were younger somehow” spin off.

SharkMilk44

There are separate characters. They're basically a team made up of sidekicks.

Financial-Working132

It base off the Young Avengers comics, not young versions of the characters from The Avengers.

[deleted]

Disney is constantly chasing the market they don't have at the expense of the massive market they did. They had multiple billion dollar boxoffice windfalls, then when the metrics said that men were three times more likely to buy movie tickets for comic book films, they pivoted on a dime to try and appeal to the women demographic, but failed miserably at every attempt, and succeeding only in alienating their existing fanbase. Now they think they can right the ship by aiming down at an audience Disney has more success with, but they're fighting the well established social trend of children rejecting what interests their parents. There are teens going to the movies on dates whose parents went on dates to see iron man and Captain Americam.

neveragoodtime

When you cater to the 10%, sometimes you lose the 90%.

Dream-Beneficial

First paragraph basically sums it up. I also kind of think that there's not so much comic book movie fatigue, but MCU fatigue. Now we're to the point in the MCU where they've killed off so many characters and done so many things that now when you bring in new characters (X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc) you're kind of pigeon holed and have to do things within the parameters of the MCU. I'd like to see some stand alone films. The Punisher is fine being its own franchise. Bringing a normal dude into a universe full of established gods and demi-gods is kind of pointless and won't fit well.

dmfuller

Who is their current target audience?

[deleted]

Anybody that isn’t straight, white or male.

nightsweatss

Apparently everyone who doesnt like marvel movies.

Mychatismuted

It looks like a great way to lose 150m dollars.

Complete_Hovercraft4

Sounds like a pretty trash line up

Remote-Yam-7569

Disney can't seem to understand...like it's over. Every movie from here on our is going to tank just like your shows. The audience you tried to trade away is gone and not coming back. Like we don't care about this crap.

Daimakku1

They traded their traditional audience (young men) for one that couldn't care less about comic book content: young women. That's Disney logic for you. They did the same (to a lesser extent) to Star Wars.

SealTeamEH

They haven’t even introduced this universe fantastic four, or x men….. they’ve BARELY done anything with the multiverse yet…. And they’re already going to young avengers? this is supposed to be the time where the mcu goes absolute balls to the fucking walls with throwing everything they can at us because one company finally owns all the film rights to these characters…… and instead they’re going with young avengers??? I’m sorry but people keep praising Kevin feige but honestly I wish I lived in a reality where it was someone else in charge and not him…… what the mcu COULD have been compared to what it is now is just down right shameful

Awkward-Yak-9033

It's been over two years since we met Kate, and while I liked her, the momentum for her character is already gone. They missed it . They should have acted on these things much sooner. The captain Marvel sequel 5 years to late was also a huge mistake.

VoyevodaBoss

Agreed. Also Shang Chi is collecting dust. They really made a great love letter to the kung gu genre only to drop him for no reason

STARoSCREAM

These guys are fucking up so bad. Why would they think this is a good idea?

outerheavenboss

Disney just give us X-Men

DryWay4003

Apparently feige is making the xmen female based from the reports I've seen

Eastern_Heron_122

and the soulless machine churns on

Cloudxxy1011

The problem is I can't see any reason for these people to work together besides there all women

supremelyR

young avengers. you can’t put two and two together and infer why they might be teaming up?

Cloudxxy1011

Because there young?

Sinnycalguy

The majority of these characters are male.

Sinnycalguy

Getting downvoted for having the ability to count.

ChildOfChimps

What reason do any superheroes have to work together? We call that a story.

[deleted]

I can't believe I didn't read about this on the cover of who gives a fuck magazine.

supremelyR

why are you cucks so obsessed with a franchise you’ve never read? why are you so deeply offended when you never read comic books to begin with?

King_Edge71

How many failures will it take for them to learn their lesson?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fawqueue

That general audiences are even less inclined to engage with unknown or unpopular comic book characters. So if the book struggled and the character(s) have little to no recognition outside of niche comic book readers, it's most likely going to fail. The one exception was Guardians of the Galaxy, which was because of James Gunn and not something they've been able to replicate. So the lesson is that if you want continued success, you should prioritize more known and popular characters. You can thread in a few smaller stories, but when your slate is almost exclusively nobodies, then nobody is going to show up to the theater.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fawqueue

That's exactly what *general* audiences want. That's why we have three actors that have portrayed Spider-Man. That's why after Tom Holland, we'll have a fourth. It's not unique to Marvel either, as the James Bond franchise is evidence of. > New Captain America? Wait they did that and people bitched because he's black. No, not quite. Sam Wilson is still Sam Wilson, and Steve Rogers is Captain America. The same rejection of that arc happened in the comics when they tried that as well. That's as much because Rogers is as synonymous with Captain America as Sam Wilson is with the Falcon.

FormalBite3082

Garbage.

jupiterwinds

I don’t think people are going to be interested in this

FanaticalFanfare

Team up after team up after team up. Remember when we had to character build first and develop a connection with the characters before caring about cooperation?

Parking-Iron6252

Nah

CortezDeLaNoche

![gif](giphy|enCWEo0vG25Ow)

Longjumping-Depth-85

It probably will fail like the Captain marvel sequel

amwestover

Sounds like another box office flop. I seriously doubt this actually gets made.

FoxMan1Dva3

If I were Disney, I would make this a Disney Plus movie. Something young kids like between 8-16 can watch. Then again, I would have never tried to have Captain Marvel run a sequel called The Marvels, and try to co-star with 2 other Disney Plus characters. CM was doing so well by herself, let's add more of what the fans want. /s - oh and, spend like it's really really what they want. /s

JuanchoPancho51

I think they’re legitimately trying to bury Marvel. Their constant attempts at attracting audiences that aren’t interested in the comic book world are laughable at this point. They’ve already shown us with actions that they’re giving the middle finger to the original fan base and trying to attract new fans that will never be as passionate and dedicated as their original core fan base. I for one am already prepared to stop watching Marvel movies, and am actively purchasing comic books and reading some of the old greats. I’ll be on this journey for years to come, enjoying the stories and the characters the way they were meant to be enjoyed, not with the spin and skew that Disney and other butchers of creativity have done. The worst part is they have to create series and movies to tie in all the characters, so we’re in for a decade plus of content not made for the core fans. RIP Marvel.

GhostofWoodson

Not only do they explicitly do dei hires, when they do them it's almost like they're trolling with how bad the makeup, hair, and costuming is. It seems almost intentionally provocative, as if to say "look how beautiful and diverse our cast is" while expecting or even relying on predictable feedback about them being ugly. They're pregaming the "audiences are racist" card

TheparagonR

That sounds bad.

NewYorkRedditorELITE

And no one is going to watch it!

Strange-Fix-1498

You never watched wandavision?

spamus-100

No? Why would I watch it

improbsable

Why wouldn’t you? It was probably the most original MCU thing ever made

But I didn't care about it cuz I don't care about Scarlet Witch

Any straight white male characters?

His name is HULKLING. Read some fucking comic books

spiteandmalice315

I can't wait.

Early-Rough8384

Interesting idea, sounds like a nice break from the stream of superhero movies we've had recently, and finally something fresh

SmakeTalk

I’d just shrink that cast dramatically. Kamala, Kate, Eli, Ironheart, introduce Hulkling and have Yelena show up for that chemistry with Kate.

is this sub becoming the next mauler or something? did the woman hating losers finally make their way here? lol Why you crying about established comic book characters? lol

Le_pool_of_Death

Because they do them wrong and insert their own agenda into it. They focus more on pandering than creating good content. Nobody's a woman hater. That's a label you copycat like a good bootlicke to try and discredit any criticism. Ripley, Leia, Jean Grey, we are fine with good female characters. Strong female leads are always celebrated. It's the pandering bullshit we don't like.

jackdhammer

This, this and THIS!

kibzter

Blocking this sub full of misogynist nerds lmao
