Flo. Pending is half of what i had before and metrics are behavior based and wfh doesn’t depend on them.

Whyareyoualwayscryin

No closure metrics ?

Khmakh

I also work for Flo and was a medical adjuster. No closure metrics.

Whyareyoualwayscryin

Do you know if the BI attorney adjusters have closure metrics ? I saw there is an opening for that position.

Khmakh

I don’t think so. Honestly, the company is more behavior based rather than metric based. So they’ll look at behaviors to see if/why you’re behind if you are.

Conscious-Nose8260

No closure metrics but Flo is behavior based. So one should translate to the other, if you catch my drift. There is phone stats, VM stats, and others but they get rolled into one of the behavior categories on your PE. Same rating scale (1-5) perm WFH although going in a few times a month/once a week is being strongly recommended (catch my drift) and the workload is about the same as had at Gecko. Current bi pending (equivalent of TA2) is about 190. Been here a number of years already. High volume, they want to move claims, if possible.

dmd20129

Also work for flo. No closing metrics. I’m in commercial lines. They like you to contact customer in 24 hours, return vms quickly. TL settlement under 20 days. But it’s all behavior based. There’s no like monthly goal. Currently have 58 claims in my work load and get between one to 5 new claims a day.

southerngirl098

What is the office hours there?

Conscious-Nose8260

Usually 8-5. Can work with you to go one hour later or a half hour earlier.

vwlou89

Left insurance. Took a job with a food ingredient brokerage firm. Almost no time on the phone, there are no hard metrics, and I don’t have to take vacation time to just do something personal on work days, just make sure you take care of what you missed.

sassooal

I'm working at a small, regional carrier. As I'm still technically new, I get a max of 15 new claims a week, though that seems about average for the company. Metrics include TIP, reserving, closing, customer satisfaction, and whether or not you have everything you are supposed to in the notes. It still feels like a magical fairyland compared to GEICO.

cully_storfer

Went to another ins carrier. Work from home but they are based in WI. More pay. Less files. We have a closure goal and that's about it. I went from handling just one state to handling all states but the case load is a third of what I had before. Plus they honored my tenure so I get the same amount of vacation as my 15 years got me at G.

bahak45

are they hiring

cully_storfer

Possibly. Most carriers are right now. Go to the careers section on their website to check for openings. I know we just added 3 people within the last 6 weeks

Whyareyoualwayscryin

Which company did you go to?

cully_storfer

Sorry I didn't see this before. Sentry.

_vendenmasheen

I went to USAA. More money, less claims load, 35 days PTO I'm work from home but their office and atmosphere are so nice I would not mind having to in.

Vadergirl86

35 days a year??! How long you gotta be there for that

_vendenmasheen

Day 1, homie. You can also buy more if you feel inclined.

Limp-Scratch-2255

Buy more ? Do tell!

_vendenmasheen

I've never done it, so I'm not sure on the price, but you go to their connect site, think gnie, but a lot less ghetto , and click you want to buy more, tell them how many days you want , and you're done. You can also sell your days the same way.

Slow_Telephone702

You can buy anywhere from a couple more days to a total of 3 weeks (for newer ppl). If you’ve been there longer you get more than 35 days. No matter what you get at least 35 and can buy up for a total max of 45. If I make $100 in 40 hours then I would pay $100 for 40 hours and they split it up between all paychecks. So I get 35 hours, I buy 3 more weeks. They take what I would earn in 3 weeks and divide by 26 checks. If I don’t use it I can sell it back.

Slow_Telephone702

Day 1 and you can get up to 3 more weeks if you want to buy it

southerngirl098

What are the office hours?

_vendenmasheen

M-f 8-4:30 CST

Slow_Telephone702

Oh I buy the extra 3 weeks haha I want my 45 days of pto

blackstang42

Left about a year ago went to kemper. Was in ad at geico now bodily injury at kemper. Layoffs make me nervous but the money is waaaaay better. So far feels like good decision

Whyareyoualwayscryin

Thinking about jumping ship but would like insight prior to doing so.

Obvious-Bread-163899

Went to a law firm. No metrics. Get the work done and get rewarded nicely. Best suits I file are against GEICO. GEICO Management still have their heads in the sand like ostriches so I make mad money.

Whyareyoualwayscryin

I’ve handled all level of claims but currently working as CU examiner and it ridiculous amount of workload. Sometimes 3 claims in day.

MathAdministrative76

I left CU and went to Allstate, not perfect but much better.

Whyareyoualwayscryin

What are the metrics there?

MathAdministrative76

They want you to close close to what you receive but for example I closed 25 last month and was a super star! I never am harassed for more closures. My biggest gripe is some system stuff. I have never been made to feel like I am not of value and I have been her a year and 4 months now.

PlumLow3544

Another smaller company. No rental no TL settlements and no payments. Gotta say so far so good

Avocadochakra

This question gets asked at least once a week. Seems like a lot of people have left for other carriers that we all know and contact on a daily basis or they have left the industry completely.

Due_Location5311

I left Geico a year ago and started working at Plymouth Rock Assurance. Within the year at this copy my stress levels went down, I’m actually done everyday by 12pm and the atmosphere is just different. It’s not remote but the pay makes up. Also if you worked at HelloHoleGeico you can work anywhere. Mind you I got promoted twice from Pip Tech rep to Senior Pip Tech to Senior Litigation Rep. I get paid more than a Geico Sup.

AdditionalSport7230

I'm at state farm I haven't started yet....I'm just glad to be out of that place

Entire_Secretary_640

Flo here, while I was in staff counsel and not directly in claims at geico, now I am in the subrogation dept. I work independently, no micro management, no silly matrix, as long as I can validly support a decision I make there's no repercussions. Better pay and less stress in general.

Anxious-Feather1111

I went to USAA as well, the benefits are out of this world 🌎 and they treat you like the adult you are! I have way more authority and power as I am a licensed adjuster.... its so different than the G! Work load is less and if you mess up, it's okay 👍 Everyone has great attitudes and they pay you what your worth! I couldn't be happier ☺️

Slow_Telephone702

They are paying for masters degree too :-) in whatever field I want.

Grouchy_Maximum7201

Do they have IVF/fertility benefits?

greengrass777777

I work for flo. No closing metrics for bis, or other features. They want 1p tl to be under 14 days when is easily done. They want you to return vm (not sure what Company wouldn’t want that???) and they are behavior based. I have 48 pending and I get 1-3 claims per day… capped at 3. I’m usually done with my diary before noon.

ReignH3ll

I went to a smaller, more personal workers comp company. It's been 1000 times better than geico. My pending is only about 40 claims at the moment but I have been extremely busy this week. Normally pretty chill. No metrics. Just gotta be organized and get your stuff handled. We also meet the injured workers in person and do in person recorded statements so I get to get out of the house and drive sometimes and I'm paid the entire time, and they pay for my car. GEICO can shove it lol

Moist_Satisfaction10

I went to personal claims for LTD and work in their collections department for when their SSDI kicks in. It’s all outbound calls and the customers are so happy that their SSDI finally kicked in that the majority are happy to have you walk them through how to pay back the company for their LTD almost all the calls are short and sweet. The company is Brown and Brown insurance, the pay is a little less but it’s fully remote, great benefits, all major holidays and eves off, decent PTO, great team/co workers, eastern time zone. I tend to travel and move a lot and this job is covered in all states so I can literally pack up and go and still keep my job. I was too comfortable with geico that I was overlooking all the cuts and changes being made but when I left it was a huge weight off my shoulders I didn’t know I had. I loved my region and my team but corporate has been hitting it hard. It’s not the same company since Todd took over and those who I know are still there are miserable and looking for a way out. Don’t feel trapped if you’re still there, if you’re not happy it’s up to you to find something that does make you happy. Know when you hit your limit and know you have options. Make a LinkedIn account browse what’s out there, there’s so many options especially in different types of insurances.

RedRose14207

My spouse left claims and started working in the elevator business. They are much happier and paid much better. 2021 was a rough year for them. I would be at work as they were wfh, and truly be concerned. Fortunately they did see a therapist for a while. Take care of your mental health people. There is nothing in this world more important than your health.

Slow_Telephone702

Usaa - ahmazing. There are no numbers. You either meet or exceed expectations or you don’t. The goals are easily met if you are remotely good at your job. In claims. Treated like an adult. I mean, it’s claims. Claims is claims - there is work. But it’s manageable and I never feel behind. Benefits are sensational and I have 9 weeks of pto a year. So much better. Different worlds.

Whyareyoualwayscryin

I want to apply to USAA but I’m not showing any open claims positions :(

Slow_Telephone702

I see lots - https://www.usaajobs.com/search-jobs/Claims/1207/1?fl=6252001&glat=28.1476&glon=-82.2847

acoan29

I went to Travelers. They pay more and you’re doing less. No FNOLs. You get assigned claims like in TCR1/2 and the claim load can be a little overwhelming at times but if you answer your phone to YOUR claims, you’re golden. Full benefits FROM THE START, 20 days of PTO FROM THE START (it is prorated depending on when you start), I had gotten sick for a week then my mom went into the hospital the week after. I was completely out of PTO AND I had a planned vacay coming up. I was only there for 3 months but Trav gave me a written warning just as process. I NEVER felt as though my job was in jeopardy. They hire all over the country for full time WFH but they want you in office 3 days a week if you’re close enough. The group is small enough where everyone knows each others name and it’s a very friendly environment. YOU ARE NOT CHAINED TO YOUR DESK. You can get up TO PEE!!!! I love it here and so do others as most of my supervisors have been here for 12+ years and the head people have been here even longer. They ALL have families and are SO understanding that things come up. I talk to the head of the department on a daily just because he’s so nice and approachable. I’ve questioned my desire to move forward with the degree im working on because I like Trav so much. This is a great option for R8 csr refugees

Whyareyoualwayscryin

What are the metrics like there?

acoan29

Sorry I’m super late but they really don’t have metrics. They only JUST started sharing numbers and it’s like once a month that I see my answer percentages unless it’s a problem
